The host started off great with timely communication and great directions to the site. It was not a paved road to get to the camp so I recommend anything that is t lowered close to the ground, Standard car can make it though. We were the only campers at the time and it was very peaceful and the star gazing was amazing. Fire ring was available for us along with use of any extra firewood or scraps (we brought our own just in case). Although we were not back in time, the host messaged us stating that they would be having a bonfire and we were invited. I have nothing negative to say about this camp experience and would recommend to anyone just looking to get away and enjoy basic camping.

I can't say enough about this place and the owners. The site, was beautiful and there was plenty of room for activities. When we got there, they were unloading a huge load of wood for us, and came back the next afternoon and dropped off more. They were so nice and helpful, and even offered to take us and the kayaks up river so we could float down! We will be back here many many more times in the future, especially in the spring and summer to do some fishing! We did catch 3 bass in about 20 minutes, nothing big, but fun to catch.

This is a great spot beside a canoeable river that has a put in about 2.5 hrs upstream. Teresa was very prompt with communication. I certainly hope to go back and would recommend it. I've camped at alot of hipcamp sites and this was definitely one of the better ones.

We absolutely loved our weekend here at Canaan Campground! It was very private, and we felt extremely safe there. Plenty of room to camp either by the river, or up by the main fire pit in the field. The owners, are what made this place perfect. They were extremely helpful, made sure we knew how to get there, and also kept us stocked with firewood. You couldn't ask for nicer folks. There's so much land here to run around on with the kids, or pets, and plenty of fishing available, right there at the site. I was able to catch 2 rock bass and one small mouth in about 20 minutes. We can't say enough about how awesome this place was, and we will 100 percent be staying here in the future.

Great experience 10/10 would recommend! The hosts are so friendly and kind and provide everything you could need. The site is beautiful, private, and has so much fun stuff to explore. We had a great weekend camping out there and would love to return!

I like to camp alone and this was a great spot (since no one was at the other campsite when I was there). It was peaceful and quiet, but not too wild and creepy. I loved camping on the water and being able to use the kayaks for free was a huge plus! I also enjoyed not having service at the site, but that's not for everyone. It's easy to pick up service once you leave the land. There is a grill, bench swing, porta potty, and a fire ring. Would recommend!

We loved the campsite location! It was extremely peaceful and the camp owners were very nice and great communicators! It is away from the roads and off near the creek with plenty of things to do!

It was a very nice stay quiet and peaceful the host was very helpful even offering a ride back to our vehicle from the canoe launch offering the canoe and kayaks to barrow without charge was super nice and honestly one of the reasons we chose them for our camp site we definitely will be back 😀
