You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. Great spot for camping. Especially if you want to be close to the entrance of Pisgah. Site 4 is pretty secluded, which was great for bringing the pups, and Hayden was friendly and very attentive to anything that came up. The two outhouses are clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Lots of space level at Pond Site 1. Has a trail that leads up to the hilltop lodge.

Had a great time camping and will definitely be back. Biking from the campground straight into DuPont was a treat. All amenities were as described. Heed the warnings about the gravel drive to the pond campsites; we made it fine with an AWD van but would be spicy in bad weather!

We truly cannot say enough good things about these hosts or this property! They welcomed me and my little family with more kindness than we’ve ever experienced traveling or even near home. I’ve been through a lot emotionally and physically, and we came hoping to heal they made us feel safe, cared for, and supported. From leaving an apple for my son when he qhickly needed some fiber, to helping with groceries and packages, to lending us a propane fire pit and giving my little one a tiny shovel, their kindness never stopped. We honestly felt like God placed us on their property for a reason. We are forever grateful. The property is immaculate with beautiful views. Even with a nearby road, it was incredibly quiet- early mornings and nights were almost ethereal, like being deep in the country. The pavilion was wonderful, and river access just steps away was perfect for skipping rocks and listening to the peaceful water. We also loved the community garden and the kind neighbors. Star gazing during the solar storm was completely amazing because of the extremely low light pollution from any cities. SHOOTING STARS GALORE! Ceaser's head was only minutes away and so was Cup & Saucer coffee shop that had amazing pumpkin spice lattes and an allergy friendly quiche! This stay was full of warmth and peace. These hosts truly feel like family to us, and because of them, we now want to move to the area. We will never forget our time here and highly, highly recommend staying with them. ❤️

Second visit to Raven Rock this year. Had just as much fun as the first time. Jeffery is a great host. Very peaceful and quiet. Only about 20 mins from town feels a lot further. Completely pet friendly and pet safe.

What a lovely, welcoming spot Mark and Esther have. We (my bf, pooch and I) spent two nights in our 18.5' camper trailer here in Techno RV Site #2 and it was quite perfect. We had no neighbors camped near us (mid-November and mid-week) so we felt like we were alone in the woods. But there are nice tree/shrub barriers between each site so I think it would have been fine if there had been. The bathhouse was clean and had everything you needed (including a timed heater and unlimited hot water) and the hiking trails on the property were a great place to walk the dog in the morning before setting out on our adventures. Communication was great from the hosts and they were there waiting for us upon our almost-late arrival. All in all, we felt this spot was great - and we'll probably be back. Thanks, Mark and Esther!

We absolutely love camping by the waterfall! If you have an AWD/4x4 vehicle you can make it up the drive. Just be aware if bears and other animals. Our last day it was raining quite a bit so the drive back was slick but other than that zero complaints! Hendersonville is only 25 mins away and it's such a cute town with all you need for camping or food :) we will absolutely be back (more prepared, of course)
