To access the site you will drive approx. 15 minutes up a gravel road. Overall we are located about ~30 minutes from I-40 and about 25 min to Marion & Morganton, NC. For recreation you can access South Mountains Gamelands which is adjacent to the property. You can also drive to South Mountains State Park which is only 15 minutes away. Lake James State Park is 35 minutes away and offers great recreation potent entail as well as Linville Gorge which is 45-60 minutes away. About the listing We offer two connected 8x16' tiers with center posts for hanging a tarp or setting up tents. You can see in our photos how a tent would fit on the platforms, there is plenty of space and truly amazing views right from your tent door. The site features a fire pit and an outhouse. The lower part of the property spans approximately 3 acres. It is partially wooded with a relaxing creek running through the woods. There is a porta john onsite (Rental required for large events) and we also have a water spigot available and a 100 gallon trash can for you to dispose of your trash. Amazing hosts! We booked during an event they had on their property. I didn't k ow it was possible to have that much fun and wake up the next morning feeling 1000%. These hosts really care about their guests. Yes, we are repeats, but there is a reason for that. As a woman camping, I know I am safe! So whenever I camp here, i can really, truly, relax. Kelly is the best!

We loved tent camping on the platform here! My toddler had a blast climbing up and down the platform and walking around the loop. We all enjoyed the sunrise, sunset, and sky full of stars every night. We can’t wait to come back!

The area was very private and quiet. The platform was very convenient! Instructions for check in were easy to follow. The only downside to the site was the grown up trees in the summer that blocked the overlook view of the mountains. Great site!

This is an awesome camp site! Easily accessible and very convenient. The platforms are great for tents on one level and chairs on the other. We enjoyed our night and will be back in the future for longer stays. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset.

We had the best time at this Hipcamp! The drive up was so fun. The space was very clean and well maintained. The only thing I would pre-warn people of is the strong winds up there! We were a little underprepared for those and it did get very chilly. Otherwise it was a beautiful, relaxing, and great weekend getaway.

Me and my wife used this site for a last minute getaway. The hoste was very informative and the site was clean with wonderful views. The platform was a plus, along with the outhouse. We do wish the outhouse had a spot to hang the toilet paper. We also liked how the host had hooks on the posts for us to hang things. We will be visiting this site in the future.
