We are all about getting back to what is real -- nature, animals/horses and each other. Complete privacy!There are many mountain trails leaving right from our property! Lots to explore. You can even hike to the outdoor chapel with the pretty view of the Chilhowee Mountain range.  It is a short hike to the barn area for those who want to spend time rubbing the pot belly pigs' tummy, walk the mini horses, groom the love bug~Junebug (donkey), pet horses, cuddle with bunnies and feed chickens!  Every morning and night we set a time for all those who want to become involved with the care/feeding of petting animals and horses!

Weekend Trip to Tiny Home Way

This cabin was the perfect mountain escape—quiet, tucked into a ravine, and surrounded by winding roads and beautiful views. We arrived late Friday, please note when arriving in the dark it may be a bit hard to find but for us it just added to the laughs. There was no signal out near the cabin, so it took a bit of teamwork, but we got it figured out. Saturday was all about the outdoors: breakfast at Bear Necessities Café, then hiking Amicalola Falls (about 40 mins away, but again we appreciated the drive through the mountains and we're not rushed to do anything). We tackled the 425+ stairs at the falls, and tag-teamed carrying our dog, who absolutely refused the metal steps 😂. Sunday’s rain slowed things down in the best way—gold mine tour, incredible Mediterranean food at Pharaoh’s Feast, then soaking in the hot tub and ending each night with a campfire. Peaceful, cozy, and dog-friendly. Couldn’t ask for more.

Weekend Trip to Mountaintop Fantasy

Everything was perfect! Peter and his wife were so welcoming. They gave us excellent recommendations, and were so accommodating. Molly was so funny too. Love to see them again! Amazing views. Best view is from one of the bedrooms. It's basically a home away from home. A beautiful place for our first trip together. Bring dog treats. They have plenty of blankets for the winter temperatures!

1 night at Tiny Home Way

This was a perfect weekend getaway! We only stayed a single night, but this tiny gem is equipped with everything you need. Beautiful setting, even in winter. We weren't concerned but we were wondering how well heated the cabin would be. When we woke in the morning it was 24F, feels like 9F, and we had had a toasty night. Blankets provided were perfect. Space heater was excellent. The floor and bottom level were cooler, but the heat rising to the sleeping loft necessitated turning on the fan to circulate and ease a bit of stuffiness, as crazy as that is. And the hot tub was blessedly HOT, even in the freezing weather. Towels provided. We thoroughly enjoyed a bit of stargazing even with the string lights lit. We wished we had remembered our firewood. The fire pit by the creek is so inviting, with log formed benches and a bar height one for ease with refreshments. It was still a great coffee spot in the morning. Jodi and her team are excellent communicators. I was able to consult with them about some of the forest roads in the area as we wanted to do the short day hike to the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. MAJOR TIP: approach the parking lot from the north/west direction on the forest service road. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Luxurious Couples Getaway-Reboot!

We loved the private cabin that we were in and there's another nearby camp area but there was no one there so we had the space for ourselves. We would definitely recommend anyone to go and the owner was able to let us take our dog somewhat last minute so that was really nice. The owner answer our messages before and while we stayed in cabin so that was really nice. The cabin was clean and organized before we got there and we had had no issues finding the cabin.

Weekend Trip to Gorgeous Stays Glampground

We stayed in the Yurt which was so cozy and beautiful. The toilet inside was so convenient. It was cold but we were given 2 heaters and an electric blanket which kept us so warm we wound up sweating while it was 25 degrees out. These grounds were so cute and had all the amenities u could ask for. Great for a romantic getaway or a family weekend. We will be coming back!

We loved the bathhouse so much, so clean and pretty. The whole site is the most unique piece of art you could find. Lisa and Winton are exceptional communicators and so incredibly sweet and accommodating. Where to go

Nantahala National Forest

Take a drive to Nantahala National Forest, where campers can walk along hiking trails like Cable Cove or Spirit Ridge while anglers fish for rainbow trout and largemouth bass. Then, mountain bike on the Tsali Recreation Area trails, which offer over 40 miles of singletrack trails with stunning views of Fontana Lake. The forest also features numerous campgrounds, such as Nantahala River Campground and Standing Indian Campground, that provide amenities like picnic areas, fire rings, and restrooms.

Cherokee National Forest

About two hours from Andrews lies Cherokee National Forest. Campers can hike the Appalachian Trail, fish for catfish and brook trout, boat on Lake Ocoee, or whitewater raft down one of the seven forest rivers. RVers may enjoy the two Forest Service scenic byways through the mountains. Then, set up camp at nearby campgrounds, including riverfront RV sites at Indian Boundary Recreation Area with amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, and access to electrical hookups. Tent camping is also available with amenities like toilets and showers.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Approximately 40 miles north of Andrews rests Great Smoky Mountains National Park, known for its stunning beauty and diverse ecosystems. Embark on Alum Cave Trail or Rainbow Falls Trail to see sights above and below ground. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot black bears, white-tailed deer, elk, and a variety of bird species, including the majestic peregrine falcon. Anglers can cast their lines in popular streams like Little River, Abrams Creek, and Deep Creek, known for brook, rainbow, and brown trout. The park also offers several well-equipped campgrounds with facilities like restrooms, picnic areas, and access to hiking trails.

Andrews experiences a temperate climate with distinct seasons. Spring boasts mild temperatures and blooming wildflowers, perfect for hiking and exploring. Summer brings warm weather in the 80s and longer days, ideal for water activities in nearby lakes and rivers. Fall showcases stunning foliage colors, creating a picturesque backdrop for camping and hiking. Some campgrounds may have limited services or seasonal closures during winter, which brings cooler temperatures in the high 40s to low 50s and occasional snowfall.
