Majestic Farm is an Animal Welfare Approved, Biodynamic Organic Farm. We have 6 acres of Organic Apples in addition to pigs, chickens, peacocks and geese roaming the grounds. Ask about our Organic apples in the fall and pasture raised heritage meats available all year round.  Majestic Farm is a safe place. We welcome all members of the community, and emphasize that we are safe space for BIPOC and for members of the LGBTQI community. All people are beautiful. Be sure to message us if you would like to purchase firewood, meats or apples. Each tiny house as a full sized mattress, you can also rent a full sized cot for $20. You can message, we will leave your items for contact free pick-up and you can pay cash or venmo us later. Please carry out what you carry in and leave it clean for the next group. We clean between all visitors - and are currently keeping quite a distance to protect you, the site and everybody involved. The property is a 5 minute drive to the hamlet of Mountaindalewhich has a lovely Rail Trail for hikes and bikes, and some excellent dining options including @ highvoltagecatskills, in addition to creek bar a magical cafe & bar with outdoor seating and fire pits that serves delicious modern Polish American comfort food, great cocktails, and has live music and events on weekends. There is also an artisan pizza spot with indoor/outdoor seating, hipster vibes and fun cocktails and live music @ thedaleNY For shopping you can also stop by @ forageandgather - they have foods, meats, gourmet deli and coffee and carry all the little things you may have forgotten to bring along in addition to a locally and craft focused wine and spirits shop. Also stop by @badgrandmashop for the most vibrant and stylish clothes for all sizes and styles. Not to be missed. There is also a lovely yoga studio and bollywood dance spot in addition to some other delightful gems in town. There is superb hiking nearby at Neversink Unique Area in Rock Hill. Also Bashakill trails (and conveniently a vineyard with tastings and events right nearby). Your'e also about 30 minutes away from super cute fun larger towns and attractions like New Paltz, Livingston Manor, and tons of incredible Catskill hiking and nature opportunities. NOTE! There's an excellent Farmers Market on Saturday's in Rock Hill from 10-1pm from June to September also. Come find us there! **Please confirm you have read our property description and rules before booking** Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed. I do wish that the site photos were a little more specific to the site and was able to make out the differences a little but easier before booking, but the site we ended choosing was perfect. The portapotty was close by and very clean Definitely considering the same site again or even one of the bigger ones in the future (will be returning for the annual Sheep and Wool festival hopefully!) or even coming back in warmer weather to enjoy the animals and property more.

Amazing spot tucked away in the woods, we felt like we had complete privacy and could barely see other campsites from our spot! The broader campgrounds is perfect for hiking and exploring. Highly recommend. Campsite 2 is up a steep, unpaved gravelly road. We managed getting up and down in our AWD Zipcar just fine, though.

This place was awesome. The reviews about the ports-potties was true, clean and didn’t smell bad. The hot outdoor shower was great, and the veggies from the garden was a plus. Also the animals were super cute and friendly including the barn cat. The water access was also super helpful. Would 100% stay here again.

I have at times camped at state parks when a commute home would be too long and exhausting. I did a search on Google maps and this camping spot was nearest. I’m glad I booked it. It’s nice to have the company of neighbors and animals when traveling alone. The outdoor shower and sink was everything else I needed for the night, and I was greeted by beautiful roosting pheasants on my way out. It was also quite free of encroaching insects on this mid-August night . (I’ve pitched my tent before in places with high mosquito or spider populations.) It was a bit more rugged than I could have expected, giving me a bit of pause with my old car, but fine after all.

We loved the Magic Forest Farm! We stayed at Site 1 and it was super easy to get to - there’s a large shopping center just outside of Albany that we stocked up at just 20ish minutes away. The site was clean and thoughtful — the porta potties exceeded my expectations and we had a great time building our fire in the rock circle using firewood we bought on site for $1/piece (you can just PayPal for it once there). Gorgeous animals near the barn - we met some peacocks, sheep, a pig, donkey, and the most incredible farm dog. This isn’t a completely isolated site and you might have people pass by getting to their campsites/walking around but we actually enjoyed knowing we weren’t totally alone!

3 nights at Magic Forest Farm

MFF spot 4 was an absolute dream. We had a spacious private site a short walk from the composting toilet and numerous trails. We spent both full days hiking through the marked trails and exploring the land. We stopped at the creek preserve about 20 min away and that was the perfect little refresh we needed. We would absolutely come back to MFF in the future!
