With cobblestone mill ruins, a 200 year old cemetery at the property entrance and a large dam at the top of some of New York's most beautiful waterfalls, this is the former site of one of the Georgia Pacific's many logging mills dating back to the early 1800's and a part of Adirondack history. Surrounded by bedrock, huge boulders, massive pine trees and miles and miles of trails, the Fowlerville Falls offer days of exploration and/or relaxation. There is a large swimming hole at the top of the falls, just off of the South-facing bedrock bank, where you can swim or lay in the sun. The falls, themselves, are almost 500 ft. across (at the widest point) and approximately 150 ft. in length (from top to bottom), ascending at approximately a 40-45 degree angle, making them navigable by foot. In the drier months (and, of course, depending on rain fall), most of the falls are dry, with only 50 - 100 ft. of water flow, making them navigable by foot. There are many little pools and flowing water across the bedrock to explore, along with the rest of the river, the surrounding woods and adjacent miles and miles of atv/hiking trails. If you are kayaker, there river above the falls is calm and fairly shallow, ranging from .5 - several feet in depth. And if you are white water enthusiast, Fowlerville Falls (and the Moose River) is a nationally rated and renowned spot, boasting a class III-IV under normal release conditions, and a dangerous, cold class V under spring runoff conditions. The property can comfortably sleep 16 adults, maximum occupancy allowed is 25 guests at any time on the premises. Please confirm how many adults, children and pets will be staying in your initial reservation message. Basic cookware (coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans and silverware) provided in the main house. All small cabins have coffee makers/mugs. Four complimentary sets of golf clubs are available to use to play at the local courses. In addition, four tennis rackets are provided. Exterior security cameras (filming and recording) are on the property, facing main entrance points, main cabin driveway and field. *Please note: There is a sixth cabin set further back towards the front of the property (#61), this cabin is not for use. There are also a few odd structures in the woods on the property. These include an old school bus, outhouse and small shed. They are not for use and are more permanent fixtures… Water is well water.

This spot is AMAZING!! Super quiet, private, and just a great setup. We are boondockers so we didn't need anything. A very clean outhouse was a bonus. Great fire pit with benches and a picnic table. Trails all around. We explored the trails to the river, with the drought, it was very low. Very nice trails. A very nice walk down the very quiet road to the Moose River. A beautiful spot to explore. One thing, as usual, Google maps is off on the directions. Follow Stacey's directions and look for the gate. We will definitely be back.

This is an amazing camp site. Such a beautiful location. Felt very private. The atv trails on the property made for a nice hike. Great amenities. We had the pleasure of having a cute porcupine waddle right through the middle of our camp one night. Communication with the owner was great, extremely quick response. Highly recommend. We are already hoping to come back someday.

Everything was great, the property was well maintained. The facilities were nice for what it was. We had a wonderful time, the property is very private and quiet most of the time except when there is a caravan of ATVs going by, which is to be expected for the area. The location is fantastic its private , but not too far from anything you might need. It was very nice to be able to let our dogs run free on the property and with plenty of trails there for them to run through.

Absolute Serenity was perfect for our group and camping style. Great piece of property with a ton of trails to explore. Large open area for setting up camp with communal fire pit outfitted with benches and picnic table. Stargazing was amazing. Our 3 dogs (high energy hunting breed) had a blast running, exploring and even enjoyed the dog pool on property. It was definitely private and no real traffic - except for the atv’s headed to the trail system. Next time, we’ll bring out sideXside to take full advantage of the location. Stacey was readily available and quick to respond to any questions. Super friendly and welcoming.

1 night at May Meadows Farm

I was in the Potsdam area for several days and found this gem on hipcamp. The site is at the corner of a huge hayfield. No other people in sight, although some deer did wander across the far edge of the field one evening. I went over and met the sheep and cows. That is definitely an add on to consider for this site. Coffee at Park Bagels in Canton is super convenient, and if you are in a rush, there is a Tim Horton's nearby.

Clean, neat, well maintained. Beautiful camping spot, electric (our pup was thankful for the air conditioning in 90+ degree temperatures). Easily accessible to multiple state parks in the area. Would also recommend visiting Henderson, Henderson Harbor, Sackett’s Harbor, Cape Vincent, Clayton. Alex Bay was much more “old boardwalk, touristy, kinda commercial” than I remembered from 20 years ago. Really fun weekend ~ Grandjean was as advertised ~ thank you!!
