The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Enjoy yourself but please be respectful of others

We had a super relaxing weekend stay at The Stone Shanty and Amy was was a very friendly and easygoing host. The property itself is very beautiful, with the site we stayed at overlooking a scenic pond. Loved hearing owls as the sun was setting and once it was dark, the view of the stars was amazing. It happened to be a "new moon" the weekend we were there which made the sky even darker and we saw many shooting stars and could clearly see the Milky Way. We will be back again!

Amy is a very kind host with great communication.
There is a neat little covered patio area with a 'bar' type setup with stools. If it rained you could definitely hold out in there for a bit. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. The pond was nice. Kids would love swimming in it. The area near the pond has a great view of the sky and it's quite dark out there for good star gazing. It was very quiet day and night. This is not a 'glamping experience'. It's a neat, rustic piece of property, in a great location.

We were visited by two cute and very friendly dogs, which really elevated the experience. The little bathtub sink was running again which was nice, and there being a compost toilet was also cool (though bring your own TP!)

Came here on a couple summer weeknights while visiting the Seneca nation and allegheny state park, and we were the only campers. Dolly welcomed us and her son showed us around the place, but for the most part we were there alone. The pavilion was a great place to convene and offered helpful living amenities, while our camp spot was next to the horse field, offering beautiful views. Would love to come back.

This site is rustic yet gorgeous. Horseback riding available across the road and Dolly couldn't be nicer. Really great for people who want to experience country life while still being a short drive to casino or the cute shops or thriving nightlife in Ellicottville. Will definitely return!

We went there for one night for a concert across the street. We would certainly return. The spot was private and the grounds seem well kept. They have a nice pond and some different watercraft people can enjoy. We want to plan a stay with more time to enjoy the grounds.
