Peaceful, fun, relaxing: On site: pond for swimming and fishing, paddle boat, canoes, & trails to walk. MANY State parks nearby including Letchworth State Park, the Grand Canyon of the East. Common area known as the "Party Pit" with Bar, Refrigerator, cold running water, deep sink, black stone Grill. Outhouse with running water80 acres to explore. Tree house and trails to hang a hammock and put a tent, we have electric and water hookup for trailers. Games, kayaks . Friendly good dogs are allowed off leash and have a great time with our host puppy LuLu. Wheelchairs during the right time of year can maneuver over the terrain.

The Stone Shanty

Amy is a very kind host with great communication. There is a neat little covered patio area with a 'bar' type setup with stools. If it rained you could definitely hold out in there for a bit. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. The pond was nice. Kids would love swimming in it. The area near the pond has a great view of the sky and it's quite dark out there for good star gazing. It was very quiet day and night. This is not a 'glamping experience'. It's a neat, rustic piece of property, in a great location.

The Stone Shanty

We had a super relaxing weekend stay at The Stone Shanty and Amy was was a very friendly and easygoing host. The property itself is very beautiful, with the site we stayed at overlooking a scenic pond. Loved hearing owls as the sun was setting and once it was dark, the view of the stars was amazing. It happened to be a "new moon" the weekend we were there which made the sky even darker and we saw many shooting stars and could clearly see the Milky Way. We will be back again!
