Learn more about this land: Welcome to our Wilmington Terrace Barnyard! It's a half acre plot of land located behind my house "Wilmington Terrace Ranch" (on Air B+B). It's a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street. We're in close proximity to copious hiking trails, mountain biking, fishing on the Au Sable river, 'the flume' swimming hole, pubs and restaurants, and nearby Adirondack towns including Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Keene.  Aside from the lean-to located in the back corner of the property, there is access to electricity and water, a fire pit and outdoor seating. Ken hosts one of the most incredible campsites I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s one of the kindest souls I’ve met too! Make sure to bring a camera when you visit, the view is not something you’ll want to forget, nor the beautiful sites around the campground. This is a must-stay, and I won’t be surprised if Ken ends up being booked year-round!!! (Also, we recommend a car with higher suspension and four wheel drive as to make the trip up to the lean-to easier!) Thanks Ken :)

Ken’s site is just perfect. To die for view. Very nice lean to with a hammock where we stood our tent. Clear instructions. He sent a map and called to make sure we will settle good. You need a four wheel vehicle to get close to the lean to. Otherwise, there’s a nice campsite near the bathhouse as well. We loved our stay here. Felt super safe. And the outhouse is very accessible too if you need to go in the middle of the night. Thank you, Ken!

Great centralized yet secluded spot. The lean to was the kids favorite to hang out at, eat meals, etc. Water from a well was provided, water pressure wasn’t the best but just filled our white tank and used water pump, power was also provided. Totally recommend for anyone looking a spot to explore ADK!

Robin was a wonderful and gracious host. We had clear directions to her site, and the photos were accurate and helpful. There was a lot of grassy space for us to pull in and park our 22’ sprinter van camper. We choose to be opposite Robin’s beautifully decked out ADK lean-to and campfire ring. The site was quiet and chill. The walks down to the River and to shops in town were easy and convenient. Great site all around.

The creekside location is great! Short walk from the parking spot, fairly private from the other two sites, and very peaceful. The fire pit, picnic table and bench, shade/rain tarp, grill grate, and tongs were nice bonuses. Good spot for our tent, shade structure, and trees for a laundry line. Biggest downside is the biting flies (late July), but that's just part of camping. Definitely head upstream to the swimming hole and sun deck!

Weekend Trip to Patterson Creek Camp

We camped for 2 nights at the most perfect spot, the 1st on the right! Was flat, clean and so perfect! Set up our Rooftop tent, opened the windows and fell asleep listening to the water running along the creek, so peaceful and just what we look for! In talking with Brian prior to arrival, mention I see you have eggs available and the next day him and his lovely wife walked on over and brought us a delicious dozen of free range eggs that we gobbled up the next morning! So kind that he didn't forget. Laid back, friendly and knowledgeable about the area, things to see and places to go! We enjoyed chatting with them and will both recommend and return again soon! After packing up and showering we followed the creek to the Hudson River found a little hole and took a dip as was recommended and it was lovely and so refreshing!
