This serene is secluded on a mountain surrounded by trees with seasonal views. The campsite is neighboring 105 acres of beautiful conservatory land available for hiking. No true trails are available, but you can be adventurous and hike further up the mountain, arriving to a clearing, providing you with a lovely mountainous view. From the mountain, you can hike to a waterfall or even hike across a lovely plain field surrounded by mountain ranges on both sides and crossing the creek over to Historic Stone houses in Hurley. Within a 10 minute drive check out some of the local restaurants like Alebrijes, Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse, and the Hurley Inn where the movie “Tootsie” was filmed!. Hurley Marbletown Trailhead and Rail trail parking are only a 6 minute drive away! The town of Kingston is about 15 minutes from our site where you will find Bluestone Wild Forest, antique shops, restaurants, other outdoor activities!
The nights are just spectacular as you look into the sky surrounded by a blanket of stars, able to see the many constellations looking like jewels on a black cloth. The sounds of nature and all of it's distinct calls including that of eagles, is truly an experience. And we cannot forget our other friendly neighbors, the wild turkeys and deer! We are very appreciative of this beauty and would love to share this sacred place with you.

Feels like you’re away from civilization but yet close to all the Hudson valley has to offer. 15-20min from Woodstock, rosendale, stone ridge, Rhinebeck, red hook, New Paltz and Mohawnk short 30 min drive. The glampsite is a yurt with a fire pit and a full modern bathroom just a short walk away. For a small fee, you can also rent our bikes for riding the nearby rail trail or just visit the waterfall 2 miles away. Wood available for purchase. THE HOT TUB IS PART OF A MINI-SPA PACKAGE AAND IS AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE. The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house.
When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here.
We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site.
We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same.
It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property.
We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped.
Our property has provided many happy gatherings and events and we love to share it with others.

You can enjoy exploring, and examining our 7 year permacultuire food forest with chestnut seedlings already tall enough to climb , 10-foot hazels bearing buckets of nuts and a different selection of raspberries, blackberries, gooseberry, currents, golden berries, service berries and Mulberries. Enjoy a stroll through the meadow trail to breath in morning views and evening fireflies and stars. This camp area is very private but household amenities are not far away if desired. This site is much more private than Mickelberry Forest Garden Site and the beautiful mountain view is only a small step away. One mile away we offer nearby blue mark trails, mountain biking, lake and outdoor activities are at your fingertips and your hosts will be happy to provide any assistance needed to find or enjoy these opportunities. The Creamery (Ferris Acres) is one of the best farm ice cream shops in the East. Laurel Ridge Farm is Litchfield's largest estate, a working grass-fed beef farm, and the site of a well-loved tourist attraction that appears every spring: the Laurel Ridge Daffodils.
Guests will have access to a large, flat pasture with easy road access—an open field of about 50 acres where you can roam freely. We do not grant access to the entire property because it is a working farm with livestock and farm dogs, but the guest-accessible field is grand and gorgeous.

Hosts were super friendly and all the extras we got (solo stove, firewood, eggs, and gear shuttle) were amazing! The site is really private and quiet. Most of the meadow is at an incline but the top of the site has some mostly flat spots to pitch tents. Just don’t expect it to be super flat. Had a lovely time and definitely would come back!

Michael was more than helpful in directing us to our site.
The sites are nicely secluded from each other, providing privacy and quality time in the forest. The outhouses are very clean and fully stocked with teepee, sanitizer, and pads. Michael sells fresh eggs and firewood, perfect for a hardy campfire breakfast.
My wife and I had such a great time enjoying the property's trails and exploring the area villages and creeks. We are certainly considering booking with Michael again when we climb Slide Mt.

We had a great stay at this campsite! The site was exactly as described, clean, secluded, and peaceful. The uphill walk to the site can be a bit of a workout, especially if you're carrying heavy supplies, but it's totally worth it once you're there. Micheal is a fantastic host. he was super helpful and friendly. We were even able to grab some fresh eggs for breakfast. The showers were clean, and the bathrooms were very accessible. Loved the thoughtful touches like toilet paper and feminine supplies being stocked. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful camping on a wooded parcel, lovingly tended by its caretakers. We arrived late with our kid. Michael was there to greet us and point the way to our campsite about a half mile back into the woods on a well-maintained trail. Carts were available to bring our gear back and the tent was set up for us in advance, which was awesome with the late arrival and young kid. Very quiet, lovely, peaceful. The leaves were beginning to fall and they sounded like rain in the forest.

Beautiful and well maintained property! Michael and Laura are great hosts; if you need recommendations for hikes or shops nearby, they will be there to guide you.
We loved the pond site, is located conveniently close to the parking area and shower, and a shadowy area to hang your hammock.
Definitely thinking on coming back to try the other sites, each one has its own attractiveness.

Amazing experience, felt super secluded on land that is very well kept. Hosts are incredibly kind and there are small walking trails throughout the property that are really nice as well. Have farm fresh goods you can buy there as well as firewood. Would highly recommend and hope we can make it back again sometime soon!

Amy was communicative and so lovely! The property is beautiful. The goats and chickens and ducks were fun camp neighbors to have. There’s a gas station and market 5 minutes away should you need anything last minute.
Due to the grass in the field being dry, we had to camp a little closer to the house than we would have preferred so that we could have easier access to load/unload our camping gear and so that we could have fresh grass to set up the fire pit over. But, it sounds like the meadow will be developed over time to allow for that! So, knowing that I think we would definitely consider returning when my friend and I continue our annual camping tradition next year!

Michaels campsite was a treat to stay at! The little trail network was really cool to see and you could tell a lot of love was put into his land. The meadow site was fantastic for star gazing and provided ample privacy while not feeling too isolated. Highly recommend!

Michael has crafted a lovely set of sites which are all very well maintained. The pond site is closer to the house, but aside from being within sight of the house, it felt very much on its own. (The frogs and the muttering chickens we entertaining.) The compost toilets are very clean, and the shower was remarkably warm (almost too hot). Michael and Laura were

We were greeted directly by Michael who communicated very well with us leading up to the camp! He provided us with detailed instructions to hike to our campsite, and even provided a cart for us to use to carry supplies from our car to the campsite. The check-in process was smooth, easy, and quick. He provided us with a firewood bundle for $10 that was already at the campsite. He was kind of enough to provide us with fresh vegetables from his garden, that were an incredible addition to our experience. The campsite was very well maintained and secluded. There was a perfectly sized fire pit, a picnic table, and very large area for our tent, and space for us to hang out. The property provided several trails and sites to see. We were close by to many hikes found on All Trails. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this campsite to anyone seeking a highly restorative getaway!
