A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door. The site is an open (no trees) level gravel pad with water, sewer and electric connections plus high speed WiFi. There are tall oak trees adjacent to the lot. The site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Big Bear campground is gated for security (you will be assigned a code) and has an outdoor pool with shower house (summer only), a playground, picnic pavilion, and walking trails. There is a community dumpster. Shopping, eateries, ice cream, pizza, a brewery-restaurant, groceries and laundry in Hawley are within a 7 minute (3 mile) drive. The Lake dam at sunset is popular. Walt’s Landing marina on Lake Wallenpaupack is within a 4 minute (1.5 mile) drive. The interior campground roads have speed bumps and an owner-enforced posted 5.5 mph speed limit. Great location, not the most isolated spot due to it being located right off the road, but the amenities and the convenience of them are fantastic. Walking up to the river roaring is a lovely feeling, unfortunately I did not have the time to do some fishing, but I know the trout were calling my name! Have to stop by again!

Lovely place and lovely management,super helpful. Decks overseeing the river were hightlight. We wished there was availablity. Clean updated bathrooms. If you are into fishing it might be the perfect place. We werent but still enjoyed it. There is reception so u can use ur phones( i had to use for work) . No need to buy firewood etc from outside.

This campground was a total surprise wasn’t sure what to expect when I first booked it. When I first reached out to them they couldn’t have been nicer. Showed up and everything seemed to be very well kept. New water and electric the decking was a nice touch with the gravel. The bathrooms are very well kept and clean, the owner just seemed like they couldn’t do enough for you. The campsite rest on the beautiful river full of trout. I will be returning for sure, very please.

I tent camped on Leo’s property for 4 nights with my dogs while we were attending a dog show in the area. The indoor bathroom was clean and perfect for warm showers. The wifi was perfect for being able to work remotely for a couple days, but I did need to be a bit closer to the house for it to load quick enough for my job. I felt very safe staying here. It is a very beautiful property too. My dogs loved being able to play in the pond in the afternoons. The only notable concern I will add for people staying with dogs, is that the property is right off of a fairly busy side road. Thankfully, my four dogs stayed pretty close to my tent and the pond because the driveway was fairly long and the treeline helped block the view of the road. But if your dogs do not have good reliable recall or are prone to following their noses and turning their listening ears off, it would be best to have them on a tie out or long line and watch them very closely so they don’t wander onto the road and risk getting hurt.

I stayed at this site for one night, and I enjoyed my stay! The location was easy to find (using Google Maps), and was right off I-84, which made the travel convenient (from NJ). The place was clean, and had all the amenities I could ask for, such as Electricy Outlet, Water, access to bathroom, WIFI, firepit, multiple benches, table /w lots of chairs and so on. The pond was stocked with fish, and was the place I spent most of my time at. I would definately be revisiting soon!

Hey, hey Boo-boo, which way to an awesome RV spot?! It's in Hawley, PA. We had a great experience right from booking through our departure. This quiet, well maintained, wooded community was perfect for our dog and us! Our host Laurel reached out to us right away and was easy to communicate with. She provided very detailed instructions from entering the gated community, to locating the site and bathhouse as well as the 20/30/50 hookups and other site specific amenities. Some highlights were plenty of space to walk our dog, a trail to a pond, a tree covered green space with Adirondack chairs, horseshoes, a basketball court and a small pavilion and pool. Honorable mentions were the spacious, newish tile showers, which were one of the nicest and cleanest we’ve ever used! We highly recommend and will definitely book here again when we’re in the area.

Great campground! We had a beautiful view of the river. The campsite had everything we needed. We were set up in minutes. Everyone was very friendly and made you feel right at home. Rulo, the dog, is a great ambassador for the campgrounds!!

My friends and I had a great weekend camping with NEWE! Check in was a self check in style with the site preloaded with wood and water. The area was flat and had a few trees for shade, with great views of the farm and trees behind it! There is one spot for easy river access. We also did a rafting trip through NEWE which was fun and relaxing. The site was beautiful, clean, with lots of opportunities to see wildlife. Dan was a great host, we will definitely be back!

Peaceful night, just a little traffic noise. Pretty pond and picnic area, but there is no post with utilities at the pond as shown in photos. We had to park right by the host's house. I met the host for a minute when he directed us into the drive. His listing says no physical address, so we ended up going past his driveway. There is a mailbox with a number in front of the driveway. The driveway is right after turning onto his road. Good for a night's stop, but not very private for a camping trip.
