If you're looking for a quick stay while passing through Albuquerque, I have a spot for you! I'm in the process of putting back together and repairing a small house, and in the meantime, it makes for great indoor camping. There’s no shower, but the toilet and hot water work.
It’s pretty bare-bones — that’s why I call it camping — but there’s a bed, a table, and some chairs. Pets are okay too! I’m about 3 miles from Old Town.

Proceed left on Manzano expwy (with the gas station on your right
Drive 1.3miles to the intersection of Del Haan Loop and Manzano Expwy.
Make a turn onto the dirt road Del Haan Loop. You should be entering opposite the development/community of houses across the street LA Chamesa (in case you are entering from the south).
Proceed about 2.1 miles past 3 right turns and make the 4th right at LA ENTRADA. (There should be four car tires marking the turn)
As you Proceed, you will begin to see a red roof in the distance.
This is your destination!
you can drive with a car on the dirt road leading up to the camper. there are lots of marshes when you are making the final turn. most guests keep their cars on the dirt walk and walk the few steps up to the cabin. we will be adding a pebbled road soon!

It was amazing! I loved the stay. The beds are very clean everything its well in organized along with a beautiful classic layout. The outside view is sooo beautiful during the sun rise and dawn. This was the perfect spot for my quick trip to Albuquerque. Tara was great with communication and the space was super cozy. Everything you might need for a good night's rest or more if you're needing a warm, safe, comfortable place to hang. The location is perfect for whatever your adventure brings, easy access to key spots on the city and beyond. Tara kindly provided bedding and the house has all the things you might need (minus a shower as she thoughtfully advertised). A great alternative to a vacation rental and better than camping (no gear required). Such a great offering!

Tara is a gracious host and I love staying at her place at the end of a dead end road. It was way more than indoor camping and the best deal in Albuquerque in my opinion. Tara's place was more than I had hoped for for a place to sleep during the balloon festival and adventures around Albuquerque. It's in a quiet neighborhood and near old town. She provided a comfy bed, extra bedding, dining table and chairs, microwave, toaster oven, small fridge, kitchen sink and toilet. If you have extra people she'll also provide an extra mattress. Remember to bring mosquito repellent, as there are many mosquitos in the area.

Tara's place was great. Very clean and good vibes. Such a great idea to use the space whilst renovating. I stayed with my two toddlers and they loved it. We were going to camp in a field in town but we had to move quick and saved the effort of our camping gear.
Location is super central, close to downtown, old town and baloon fiesta park.
The area was very quiet and peaceful too.

Our stay at the A Frame was fantastic! It was quiet, clean, and peaceful. The compost toilet was clean and easy to use, which helped make it for a very comfortable stay, even at 20 weeks pregnant. Would definitely visit again.

Weekend Trip to ATV Loft Belen, NM Mountain view
This is a uniquely remote cabin, in the middle of gorgeous desert scrub land. It is very obviously a passion project, with interesting touches like decorative flourishes and all sorts of available solar stuff. I didn't partake, but there are even axe throwing and archery activities available.
I arrived late in the evening after sunset, and got lost, but that is wholly on me. Nesta was very attentive to making sure I made it safely. The drive in was an adventure for my small hatchback but we made it.
The views are magnificent, and the sleeping arrangements are as noted in the listing. Definitely pay attention to the weather and wind advisories. The wind when I went was very strong, like wind-alerts across the state strong, and scattered some of the amenities. I told Nesta immediately and she was very responsive.
Also understand that you're in a fairly wild area. I heard coyotes yapping, which delights me but may concern some. I also saw two large jackrabbits. I'm sure if it had been later in the year I'd've seen at least evidence of snakes and other critters.
