4 nights at Abiquiu Tiny House

The tiny house at Harvey's spot had more homey comforts than I anticipated! It was a truly beautiful place, located perfectly to be an excellent jumping off point to explore the area. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in the area and gladly stay again without hesitation, thanks Harvey!

2 nights at Rancheros De Santa Fe Resort

Great Location! This was such a cute spot! I loved the peacefulness of the grounds and the close proximity to hwy 25 and downtown Santa Fe. It is also a short distance to Cafe Fina that has probably one of the best breakfast burritos in the country! The bathrooms were very clean and the showers hot. Staff was super friendly, attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Great location for an overnight RV stay. Ground was level, bathrooms, laundry, showers all clean and working perfectly. Very friendly, professional, and helpful staff on site. We stayed at 8 locations during our New Mexico road trip and this park was handsdown the best. Like, no competition. Everything was ready when we arrived and we just had to stop by the office to get our site number. Nice fenced kids play area and little dog park too.

3 nights at Abiquiu Tiny House

Harvey’s tiny house is situated in a peaceful location with great views from the house and short walk to explore the landscape. Was very great time to visit(weather) and many stars!

Weekend Trip to Bear Paw lake Cabin

We had an amazing stay at this Hipcamp. The host is fantastic - welcoming and responsive. The cabin was the sweeeetest! It’s clean, well stocked with lots of extras from fun games to cozy furnishings. We were especially impressed by the little touches, like having salt and pepper in the cabin - things we had forgotten but truly appreciated. The surrounding area was peaceful and stunning, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great escape - we can’t wait to come back!

Loved our stay. Bathrooms were beautiful. Dog park was an unexpected luxury for our traveling companion. Sites are clean and easy to pull in and set up. Wish we had more time to enjoy it.

It was exactly as advertised and we really appreciated being able to get our little boats on the lake.

Location was perfect, the campsite was quiet, I’d stay again! It was winter, but the shower water stayed very cold so I ended up avoiding them. The laundry was great. We used the dog run in the mornings. I did leave an electrical cord at my campsite while I left for the morning, thinking it’d be there when I returned, but it wasn’t. Seemed interesting, my bad, but I wasn’t sure if anyone else besides the office manager was there.

We came to Santa Fe for vacation and brought our camper. This was a wonderful stay! The staff is friendly and helpful. The camp grounds are well kept. And the location is only 15 minutes from downtown.

Weekend Trip to Bear Paw lake Cabin

What a gorgeous cozy secluded cabin in the woods! We had such a great stay. We enjoyed the watching the birds at the feeders, saw Steller’s jays, Mexican jays and magpies to name a few! Very quiet. Loved making fires outside, and using the wood stove inside. Kitchen fully stocked, even has some items you may need like spices, coffee, oil, condiments,… very friendly helpful hosts. Strongly recommend! It was my favorite place we rented during our holiday road trip.

2 nights at Santa Fe Ridgetop Oasis - Hike In

We had a great couple of nights at Lynne’s ridge top stay. A beautiful and quiet property with great sunsets. Our two dogs loved wondering around with us along the many paths. The hike in gives this stay a nice location for those seeking solitude. Definitely a special stay

4 nights at Abiquiu Tiny House

The tiny house is not actually that Tiny! It was a wonderful place to stay and made for an excellent home base for exploring the area. In ten minutes you can be in the Carson national forest. In twenty minutes you can be in the Santa Fe national forest. Harvey is a wonderful host, he’s kind, responsive and very nice to talk to. The home is very private with excellent views of Sierra Negra in the morning and incredible views of the sky at night. I would absolutely return.

Cute place. Well appointed. Wonderful launching pad to Chaco Canyon and the Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness!

1 night at Santa Fe Treehouse Camp

I wish we had more time to stay here, but were just passing through. My site was nice and level with beautiful views of hills around and below. I love astronomy and would love to get back for the unbelievable dark skies overhead, surprising considering how close we were to Santa Fe. Also, the bathrooms are shockingly nice and clean; a treat after several days on the road!

We continue to offer camps for children and their parents and grandparents (family camps), as well as welcome adults and other groups to enjoy the vast and wild high desert nature up on this ridge. Register for our nature education activities and resources available for everyone who stays on the property. These topics include sustainability, recycling, composting, water conservation, wildfire prevention, outdoor safety, and nature awareness along with the use of our hiking trails. You can also join an archery class, tomahawk throwing, climbing on the mobile climbing wall, Yoga, Qigong, Climbing Into The Heart of the Mother Tree, Star talks and more... There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy various level hiking trails including a 20 minute hike to a creek and waterfall in the forest (some steep spots and creek is intermittent) or climb up Shaggy Peak (seasoned hikers only please). IMPORTANT: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road (with 5-7+% grade in a few short stretches) and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Be aware that the roads can be snowy, icy or muddy and rutted ( 4-wheel or All-trak recommended in certain times of year). We don’t guarantee the road will be plowed. We generally close for the season due to cold weather around Halloween and reopen just before Memorial Day.
