I wanted a cabin in the woods forever and my boys built me this awesome cabin! Drive down spring, summer and fall, walk or snowshoe in winter, about 300 yards. Beautiful, DRY {No running water}, no electricity cabin. Called "Unplugged" for several reasons: No electricity, No internet and most phones don't work! Bring books! 16 x 20 with a loft with stairs. Queen bed in loft and daybed downstairs. Has an outhouse. Stocked with basics for cooking on flat grill and new 2 burner camp stove. No electricity but LED battery lighting. l. Note that we do not charge a cleaning fee like some sites. We appreciate our guest leaving the camp as found. So far so good! Camp has the following: LP 2 burner cook top, pots and pans, dishes, flat ware, some spices and such. Fresh clean water will be at the camp when you arrive. The furnished jugs have been cleaned. If you still wish to bring your own drinking water please do so in reusable jugs. We are trying to limit plastic use. NOTE: Using GPS, Google map, or other device our address may come up as Perkinsville, Ascutney, or even Springfield even though the town is Weathersfield. Check the map and just confirm that Center Grove Rd is shown or called out as off of Weathersfield Center Rd. Firewood for the outside fire pit is available under extras. My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look. Winter offers easy access to groomed VAST trails in the field behind the house and studio. Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? But three is more realistic, and I cannot seem to change it. We loved every minute of our trip to Forest Echo. Excellent hiking nearby, kayaking/canoeing in Tiny Pond, maple creamees (we only live 3 hours away, how did we not know about these!) cozy indoor and outdoor fires, quiet and peaceful sleeping in very comfortable beds. Off the grid with the comfort of a fridge/stove/bathroom. We feel so lucky to have experienced this place. Lovely, friendly hosts Scott and Rose. A perfect way to escape from the noise (internal/external) of the world!

Weekend Trip to Red Maple Farm Riverside Cabin

This place was absolutely magical! We booked it for a girls’ trip to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and it exceeded every expectation. The river was the perfect temperature and quickly became our favorite spot to spend the day. You can tell the hosts put so much thought into every detail, with all the little things you might need already there and ready for guests. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the privacy was unmatched. It truly felt like our own little slice of paradise. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway surrounded by nature, this is it. We made amazing memories here and are already talking about our next trip back. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Getaway

Wow! Johns land is absolutely stunning. We spent the weekend in this lovely cabin overlooking the Vermont mountain slopes. The cabin is rustic but super functional. There are basic cooking supplies, gas burners and plenty of kitchenwear. The cabin is fitted with huge windows, one next to the double bottom bunkbed where we slept, looking right out in to the lush forrest surrounding the cabin. Summer had started but the nights were still chilly so we were lucky to be able to use the old stove -- which was not just warm but cosy! We spent most of the time at the cabin, waking to the morninglight, sunbathing in the grassfield and experiencing a the stunning sun setting behind the slopes. The place is absolute privacy and if you have all the food and drinks you need with you, there is no reason to leave. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to escape for a few days. There is a pond to swim in behind Johns house, but we did not try it. Anyways thank you to John!

More amenities and supplies than expected. The cabin was well stocked with lots of potable water, dishes, firewood, etc. Which was helpful because it was unseasonably cold and rainy and we needed to light the wood stove to warm up! A nice view, and a nice cabin to unwind and unplug.

Loved my stay in the Magick Cabin! Of all of my stays at Sacred Nectar, what struck me the most about this spot is the thought and detail put into it. Even though the weather ended up being quite rainy, there was no better place to experience it. You can see and hear the rain pattering the roof from the loft bed.

I LOVE visiting different Hipcamps with my pups... this was the 1st time traveling with only the 2, reactive, working line rescues, while healing from the loss of our other 2 pups... I always look for EXCLUDED, Quiet and Private sites, where the pups can just be, with limited to zero triggers of the outside world... The OWLS Nest was one the the Best Site we have been to so far... The OUTSIDE was clean, spacious and with plenty of trails to explore... The cabin and the rest of the amenities were more the we ever had at other Hipcamps and it for sure made the trip a way more relaxing... Joe was VERY responsive and respectful of our privacy and we hope to be back in the fall.

This was my third time visiting and it's always a peaceful experience. I love how light the cabin is on the inside. The woodstove makes it fun and was easily able to keep the inside warm but it probably only got down to freezing outside.

We had a great stay at this cabin and would absolutely come back. One of the things I appreciated most is how private it is—unlike many other rentals, there are no additional sites on the property, so the cabin and the surrounding space are entirely yours. The cabin itself is exactly as described, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. What truly stood out to me, though, was how welcome we felt. As an immigrant, I’m very intentional about choosing places where my family—and really anyone from a minority background—can feel safe and respected. This was definitely one of those places. The owners are genuinely kind, good people, and it shows in the way they host. A lovely bonus: they make their own maple syrup, which you can purchase during your stay. And the views are beautiful—you can see the mountains right from the cabin, which made mornings and evenings especially memorable. Overall, a peaceful, welcoming place that I’d highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Getaway

This little getaway was the perfect little adventure for my boyfriend’s birthday. The hosts were so helpful, giving us the option to purchase fire wood for the wood stove. We didn’t think we’d need it but the brisk mornings and breezy sunsets gave us the perfect opportunity to get cozy. The view left us stunned as we do not experience anything like it in our small Mass town. We cannot wait to plan another trip here to experience every season!

3 nights at Green Mountain Getaway

My husband & I stayed in John & Pattie’s cabin for his birthday, and we brought our 3 dogs! We typically choose secluded sites as our dogs are very weary/nervous of strangers and like their space. This cabin was the perfect spot for them! A heads up; they give you warnings via signage in the cabin and i will warn you as well; there are a LOT of ticks! it’s the woods, there’s gonna be ticks but we’d use a sticky roller & find one every time we were outside on the dogs. just get a good flea & tick for them 👌 there is a cast iron stove that kept us extremely warm during the below freezing nights, & our hosts provided all the wood for the inside stove which was so kind. on our way home to philadelphia, we stopped by a local dispensary and met some of the nicest people. we’d never been to vermont before & this was an amazing first experience. everyone we’d met there was sooo nice, starting with our hosts John & Pattie! we bought some of their homemade maple syrup (HIGHLY recommend)! John also came up to the cabin to check on us & surprised our dogs, (our dogs don’t love strange men… apologies again, john!) and he responded exactly as one should when approached by barking, nervous dogs. it was refreshing and while i’m upset with my dogs for running up to him, it’s nice to see someone who understands how to interact with dogs. thank you so much for having us, we will be back for a winter camp next season ❤️

This has been my 4th (maybe 5th 🫣) time here. Lorraine & Jay are phenomenal hosts. The cabin is equipped with everything you need! They are always welcoming and responsive. This is one of my favorite places 💕

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Getaway

We stayed 2 nights with our 2 dogs in March. The weather was colder than usual, both nights below freezing temps outside. The wood stove had no issue keeping the inside of the cabin very warm despite the cold (accidentally let it get up to 80+ degrees and had to open windows). We brought all of our usual camping gear because I like it be overly prepared but didn't need most of it at all. Would have been fine if we just brought food and clothing everything else is provided. Very quiet and secluded feel with a nice view overlooking valley below and mountain across the valley. Good view of the sky and no light pollution. Great trip very relaxing was able to put phones away and unwind.
