Glamping in New Hampshire

·

New Hampshire is a one-of-a-kind both geographically and culturally, so it’s only fitting that its many glamping options—whether you’re scaling the White Mountains or boating Lake Winnipesaukee—range from rustic to the whimsical. Yurts, canvas tents, and cabins all await, in addition to magical treehouses and seemingly abandoned yet renovated buses. Glamping amenities range from cozy corners, hot tubs, and kitchenettes to wood stoves and luxury linens. New Hampshire has a dramatic four-season shift, as is tradition for New England, with hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, and paddling all popular in late spring, summer, and early fall (Pro tip: Hit Umbagog Lake State Park for kayaking), and all kinds of snowsports in wintertime. If you venture out of the woods into college towns such as Hanover, you’re likely to find additional cottages and small cabins perfect for day trips into town.

In New Hampshire, glamping is a type of outdoor stay combining camping's nature setting with the luxury and convenience of comforts like beds, warm showers, or electricity. When glamping in New Hampshire, there's no need to bring your own tent—instead, glampers may stay the night in a cabin, a vintage Airstream, a canvas bell tent, a yurt, or even a treehouse.

Sacred Nectar Sanctuary

North Sandwich, NH · 14 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
Simply the best tenting you can find in the White Mountains. The campground to get away from campgrounds, where magic touches every corner. Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Thank you for being a part of the healing. We hope you enjoy what we have created here :)

Our tent and yurt sites are located on 5 acres of private woods and are 4 acres apart to allow for maximum privacy for our guests! Parking for both sites are shared. The tent is 50 yards up a rustic wooded path through the woods and the yurt is an 800 yard (10 minute) uphill walk from the parking area. Both sites are adjacent to our local network of hiking/biking trails that connect to the summit of Mount Agassiz, which offers stunning views of Franconia Notch. Additionally, within a half hour drive, you have access to some of the best hiking in the North East. We are happy to provide recommendations! The surrounding towns are home to three different breweries, numerous restaurants serving up delicious food and quaint main streets. Through the generous permission of surrounding landowners and the stewardship of the Bethlehem Trails Association, guests can access this trail network to enjoy the views from the summit of Mount Agassiz for top notch single-track mountain biking. We live one town over and are just a phone call away. If you walk the trails, you may encounter a friendly neighbor's dog but all our guests enjoy the privacy and solitude the mountain provides. Ready...set...RIDE! At Jericho Mountain State Park, hit the trails for a day of adventure you’ll never forget. As a new addition to the New Hampshire State Park system, count your miles on whatever mode of transport you’re feelin’ that day. ATVs and mountain bikes are popular in summer, while winter warriors bust out their snowmobiles. Hike by foot or snowshoe if you prefer two feet over wheels… don’t worry, we won’t judge! But if your loved one is an ATV nut, you can’t miss the Jericho ATV Festival in late summer. Muddy, family fun for all is hard to beat.
