Under the care of third generation steward, Lisa Betz-Marquez, the beautiful bluffs feature a stunning backdrop to a those seeking a private and peaceful experience, birding, wildlife-spotting, or an adventure-seeking hike.
Rustic Tent sites (allowing cars, vans, rooftop tents, truck campers, and motorcycles, but not RVs or pull-behind trailers) are located directly on the prairie.
The prairie is a fragile environment. To preserve its beauty and health, trailers and RVs must book the RV sites. We appreciate your cooperation.
RV sites 50 amp electricity and a rustic experience on crushed concrete near our corral. You'll have foot access just steps from the prairie.
All sites share access to delicious potable water, a clean porta potty, and a funky outdoor camp shower (with unheated water), as well as private foot access to hiking at various levels of challenge to the south side of our nation's Scotts Bluff National Monument.
A small group of yearling cattle are at home on the prairie in summer months, and may share you the prairie tent area with campers in the months of May and June.

Lisa is the fourth generation of her family to live on Valley View Farm, located directly south of the prairie. Her family has been steward of these lands since 1925. This was the best site I've ever camped at and can't recommend it enough! You're all to yourself but still nearby other sites. The town, as well as Scottsbluff NM and Chimney Rock, are close by. Lisa was an excellent host, wish we could've talked longer! Make sure you're well prepared for the weather...the wind swept through the canyon just right and snapped our tent. Will definitely look for this place again the next time I come out!

This land is gorgeous and we felt so lucky to camp there. We decided to camp last minute on our cross country road trip back home to Idaho and it happened to be my birthday. The sunset was incredible and the prairie was gorgeous. Be prepared for the wind!

This was a quiet and peaceful campground with stunning scenery. Lisa was very helpful, providing detailed directions to the campsite. It was a short drive into Gering and Scott’s Bluff Monument. This was a wonderful place to stay that is off the beaten path.

Wow, it was raining HARD when we were driving towards the Peaceful Prairie location and the road condition concerned Lisa. She contacted us right away about getting into our spot and settled. Through the hip camp site/app and LIsa's guidance, we found our spot just fine and had a nice evening in the drizzle. Woke up to some beautiful fog and singing birds. The road does get a little greasy with that kind of rain, but we did fine.

Staying in my van at Lisa’s was perfect! The spot was quiet and private, with absolutely stunning views of Scott’s Bluff NM, made even more magical by the gorgeous sunset. Super convenient access to water, bathroom, and trash. Lisa was very kind and responsive, greeted me on arrival, and the site was really easy to find.

Couldn’t have asked for a better spot on our first trip to Nebraska. This spot was absolutely beautiful, backed up to the bluffs. Lisa was a great host and when she found out we were using a rooftop tent instead of an RV, she suggested we stay on the prairie instead which made the night all that more beautiful. We had to battle with the Nebraska wind for a couple hours, but the sunrise was so worth it. We’ll definitely be back on our next time through.

A very ‘hip’ place with a hippie vibe! Very eclectic including the winery and paths to walk and view fireflies by the pond. 20 amp electricity and water from a hose (No 30 or 50 amp) which made it more on the primitive side and probably not suitable for bigger rigs. (Mine is 20’ and perfect size pull thru.)
