Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We are located next to the Platte River Basin Environments, Bead Mountain Ranch, with 3,000 acres of hunting, hiking, and horseback riding. Open to public lands (walk-in only), this also connects to the Murphy Ranch, also managed by the PRBE, and is connected to Buffalo Creek WMA for over 7,000 acres combined. It is an incredible spot for wildlife viewing, featuring mule deer, bighorn sheep, 120 species of resident and migratory birds, wild turkey, pheasants, bobcats, and mountain lions. Mule deer hunting is available via archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons.Park your R.V. or camper in our secluded tree patch, enjoy incredible views of Bead Mountain and have access to over 3000 acers of hiking, horseback riding and hunting in adjacent open to the public lands. Ponderosa pine forest and large hills to climb. Horseback riding, bring your own horse, pen provided. No smoking. No open fires are allowed. 15 minutes to downtown Gering, Scottsbluff national monument. 30 minutes to Chimney rock.
