The Mini Moose is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood just off highway 20. It offers more amenities and conveniences than a hotel while adding the tranquility and privacy of your own mountain retreat! After a busy and crowded day in the park, escape to the Mini Moose where you can, BBQ, build a campfire, play cards, do some rock painting or just simply relax and enjoy the mountain air after a fun filled busy day in the park.
Location:
The Mini Moose is centrally located in Island Park. It's two miles from a gas station/store, bank and post office, with several restaurants and lodges within 5 miles.
Enjoy nearby trails and fishing or schedule a lazy river float down Big Springs. You will also find maps, books and local area suggestions upon your arrival.
The space
The Mini Moose is a spacious 325 square feet with a small loft for additional sleeping. I designed the space with Yellowstone travelers in mind. It's equipped and decorated to create a fun experience. because I want your accommodations to be as memorable and unique as the park you've come to see.
Guest access
Your adventure begins the moment you leave Island Parks buzzing highway 20. You will be on dirt roads for about 2 miles. The roads are well maintained and do not require 4 wheel drive but they can get a bit muddy during the rainy season. Please be mindful of the posted 15 mph speed limits along the way.
Other things to note:
There are three structures on the property: The Treetop Loft, the Tiny Timber your Mini Moose. Each building has a sign, its own entry codes, its own designated parking and ample space for privacy. The neighborhood is amazing. It's safe, well maintained and full of friendly seasonal locals. You wont feel like a tourist here!

We would like to welcome travelers from all over the world passing through Ashton, Idaho en route to the many attractions such as Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Mesa Falls, Cave Falls, St. Anthony Sand Dunes, Island Park, and so many more.
We aim to offer the kind of environment that is as relaxed and as comfortable as if you were staying with family. You are staying with family, our family.
Pull up a chair in the shade of the lilac trees and read a book, sip on lemonade and gaze at the silhouette of the Grand Tetons. Share your day’s fish stories around the campfire, and even put that whopper rainbow trout you just caught on Henry’s Fork on our outdoor grill. After spending the day at Old Faithful we hope you will return to us in the evening to your peaceful, quiet spot and enjoy the starry skies above, or snuggle up in your bunk and enjoy a movie with the family.
We have on-site laundry facilities and showers for those messy trips to the St. Anthony sand dunes. (Showers and laundry for our guests only)
The Jolley Camper offers play areas for the young and young at heart and plenty of space and facilities for your family reunions, company or church picnics, wedding shower and receptions,
or group retreats.

Take a step back in time. Imagine yourself as an original Homesteader in this early 1900's cabin. But with modern conviences. 4 miles from Gardiner, Montana - The North Entrance to Yellowstone. 4 miles to Yellowstone Hot Springs. We provide safe, delicious well water! Little Trail Creek runs thru the property. There are two rooms in the cabin. Dining table, kitchen supply hutch & wood stove in the main room.Two queen beds, a small cot in the bedroom. There is one chandelier and 1 outlet in each room.
There is one extra cabin with one queen bed available for an additional fee. It is 4 feet from the homestead. It is only available for use by guests of the homestead cabin, so it is private.
There is a gorgeous new shower house built in 2022. It provides a walk in shower, large vanity and sink, outlet and standard flush toilet.
Candles, oil lanterns, propane for the BBQ grill, campfire ring, camp chairs, wood stove, towels, hot springs & river towels, bedding, pots, pans, utensils, basic camp supplies are all included! There is a separate shack with an electrical outlet, toaster oven, electric coffee pot, percolator, a single electric burner for the cooking supplies. There are 3 other rentals on this property. Each cabin has 1 - 1.5 acres of private use and are generously spaced out.The Homestead cabin is bordered by Little Trail Creek and the house pasture. There are 5 horses on site. Absorkee Wilderness is in the back yard with thousands of miles of hiking trails. This is a Glamping experience. There my be wildlife - including bears, elk, deer, bugs or field mice at anytime. We have tried to preserve the Homestead cabin as much as possible to its original state. There are elk, deer, birds and other native wildlife on the property daily.
