Woody's On Flathead Lake

11 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents2 acres · Somers, MT
Welcome to Woody's Basecamp, where 1st Responders come, to heal and recharge, shared with you too. Plenty of hiking trails out your back door with amazing views. Super chill and tranquil spot with a great location. There's not much of a view here in camp, just a quiet spot, carved out of the base of a mountain. It's walking distance to the Somers Beach and Boat Launch. Blacktail Mountain is next door, Hot Springs and Glacier NP, right down the road. We offer a unique Flathead experience. The Love Shack, overlooking the lake. We offer overnight camping in boats, on land or sea, like a RV and Tipi’s too. Our spots are equipped with a movable firepit which doubles and a grill and table when not in use. A picnic table for 4 converts into a bench, for watching the fire in the evening. Woodfired pizza oven, sauna, hot tub, cold plunge are in the works. There's plenty to do on the lake, in the mountains, or in the towns nearby. Go burn some energy and come back here to ground and re-charge. If you love quaint little towns, you'll love Somers. It offers a post office, café, bar/restaurant, hardware/lumber store, a museum, mansion and a yacht club. Culture, history and beauty here. If you love beaches, the Somers Beach is a great spot with a swimming area and place to launch paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and rafts from. There are spots tucked away next to the shoreline, among the pines, that are super sweet for picnics, or hanging out, whilst the kiddos frolic in the water. The Wayfarers State Park is a part of a Waterfowl Preserve. Lots of ducks and geese. It's outside of town and pretty secluded. It has a very nice sandy beach and is in a shallow cove. Likewise, it's shallow for a long ways out, so there is no boating traffic here. Perfect for SUP's, Kayaker s, kids and dogs. If you love to sail, The North Flathead Yacht Club is a great place to meet locals and hitch a ride on a sailboat For whooping it up! Del's Bar is a great place. Lakeside and Big Fork offer even more, a short drive away. We even have a Roller Coaster. House, yacht, pontoon, sail, fish, fun, speed, self-powered, float, raft, river, boats available for rent. Sunset, Sunrise, Beach, Bikini, Island, Towns and Estate, Boat Tours available. Guides, skippers and 1st Mates available.

Drive-in, park, and begin enjoying all the crazy, fun, or just relaxing things you want out of your private lakefront property. You're on the shores of Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake, this side of the Mississippi, and home of Wildhorse Island, where the Boone and Crocket world record Bighorn Sheep was discovered, killed by winter weather. This 2160 acre island is also the home of deer, mountain lions, bears, several species of eagles, and wild horses. Day hiking is allowed and is a 5-minute boat ride from your beach spot. Just slightly over an hour to Glacier National Park and access to all the mountain lakes, rivers and streams to explore, you won't be bored. Right around the corner, you have access to a boat ramp at one of the state-owned Parks with public showers, if the lake water is too cold. If you want to make her an honest women, while you're here, you're staying on our wedding and event venue (www.flatheadlakeforevers) and we will help make that happen too. Tell us what you want and we'll help you make it happen. Pictures posted on this site are all from this 34 acre, 900 ft. of lake frontage venue. Don't miss this one. Sorry no more instant booking, we don't ever want another Tod on our property.
