We contacted the owners, bought the property, and started the cleanup. Mountains of garbage and signs of neglect everywhere. We worked hard, loving the land, listening to the land to make it clean, peaceful and full of welcoming energy. Eclipse Special! Rent out my quiet, secluded cabin nestled on 20 acres in the Ozark Mountains for the eclipse. This tranquil retreat features moss-covered walking trails leading to a natural spring. Enjoy the comforts of our 3-bedroom, 1-bath cabin with a wrap-around porch. The porch includes an outdoor dining area with lighting, a Big Green Egg, barbecue grill, smoker, bistro table, rocking chairs, and torches. I work at the Calico Rock Museum and invite you to visit us. We have a wonderful Heritage Center and a gallery/gift shop with works of art created by local artisans. Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn. You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that. There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas. The White River is famous for it’s trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.)

These are perfect opportunities to take a break, eat a meal, and explore the area. Most also will have public bathrooms. Unless there are multiple reservations, you will be allowed to hookup/stay at whichever site is the easiest for you to get parked at.
