Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. At the edge of a small town in Oklahoma, plenty of space to look out over hayfields, lounge in one of our hammocks, sit around the fire, watch chickens, ducks, and geese, and maybe lend a hand to one of our varied farm projects. The town is walkable and there are plenty of our bikes you can use. The main parking area will have some lights from the neighbors and 2 lane highway, but also have private areas to set up a chair or hammock. Behind the hedgerow (to the North) there's a mowed areas for a tent. There's also a tree platform. A train runs through town about 10 x day and night about 5 blocks away. There's capacity for leaving your trash/recycling here (I have to pay for weekly pick-up but rarely is my bin full), there's also washer/dryer that can be used (within reason)

The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away. This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.) We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like.   We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!).   Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

Pea Ridge Bike Camp is about 7 miles to downtown Bentonville and only 5 miles from Exit 88 and I-49. We are located n the country, yet only 1/8 mile to state highway 72. Restaurants, food trucks, groceries, banking and laundry facilities are only 2 miles away in Pea Ridge. We have 10 designated campsites and 10 dispersed campsite locations that are not in any designated area to allow guests some say as to where they camp. We are very flexible with arrival and departure times. We do offer group camping We will allow low-noise generators to be used in dispersed campsites. ** Please let us know If you are planning to use a generator. Our campsites are large with some being very shady and others in full sun. Great for those equipped with solar power. We thoroughly enjoyed 2 nights at Pea Ridge. We were the only campers the first night and were joined by one other the second night. Damon could not have been more welcoming and gracious. He is a wealth of local knowledge and was very helpful in offering us maps and suggestions. If we come back to the Bentonville area, we would definitely try to stay here again. Many thanks!

Convenient location and can ride from site. Had the place to myself. Only thing somewhat annoying is hearing the expressway and the backside of the campground all night long. Just treat it as white noise as it’s constant. One porta-potty to share on site and a dumpster.

The site was great. The area was quiet, you could see the stars and hear frogs. Julie was so helpful and friendly. A great spot for bikers to rest after ripping it up on the trails. They even have showers with hot water. Those were amazing after a long day riding.

Red and Judy had a warm greeting for us when we pulled in and showed us where everything was. The place is well laid out for connecting everything, firewood split and waiting at our site. The 3 bath houses are the best! Nice hot showers and a clean bathroom with sink and mirror is an amazing thing to come back to after a day of sweating in bike shorts. The facility is new and awesome and Red is still making improvements. Put more stone and a bunch of fresh mulch down while we were there. It's obvious they care a lot about the campers. The 1/2 mile loop trail is a fun little time trial and would be great at night with a light kit. See ya again soon, Red!

Absolutely loved this spot!!! Less people made for a much more camping-like atmosphere. Everything was easy to access, instructions and guidelines were clear. We met some great people camping around us! We will definitely be back anytime we visit this area! Highly recommend!!

We set up two pickup trucks at our site and had plenty of room. The site was well maintained and had 30 amp power. All of the neighbors were there to bike so the vibe was really nice- relaxed, friendly, bike oriented. The showers and toilets were great after a long day on the trail. Speaking of which, we were able to access all the trails- two gravel rides, and three mountain bike rides- right from the campground. Others left in their vehicles to access the rides they wanted. We loved the spot and the hosts were helpful and kind

Weekend Trip to Bigfoot County Campgrounds

Michael is an awesome host! Had many suggestions on where to dump our waste tanks. The site is great, large fire pit, large table. Very private, only saw about 4 cars on one of the days we spent there. No ticks or chiggers on our 3 day visit. Hope to be back!
