Weekend Trip to Sunset Mountain

This is an absolute fabulous little campground. I enjoy myself more and more with each visit. James and his wife Amy went above and beyond to make my stay awesome!!! Can't wait to return!!

3 nights at Bentonville Bike Camp

Bentonville Bike Camp is a quiet green oasis with stay options for everyone. We chose Site 5 w/ 30 amp power for our 25’ motorhome. It was peaceful and quiet 3 nights with only one or two other folks staying in that area. We were steps from sparkling clean (cool!) toilet and showers (2each). A fire pit is provided at each site. The location is perfect - close enough to town but away from it all. We dumped and filled water on our way out. On our visit to B-ville last year we stayed at a campground that was really just an asphalt parking lot for twice the cost. We are not cyclists but enjoyed a hike & coffee at Coler Mt Bike Preserve and another visit to Crystal Bridges Art Museum. We also had a scrumptious pizza & cocktails at Oven & Tap. Overall a 10 stay! Highly recommend this Hip Camp spot!

1 night at Open-air Meditation Sanctuary

This camp spot was perfect!! I booked about an hour before I got there and was able to get to the campsite easily. Tom showed me in and where everything was and then I drove to my campsite. The ugly comment that someone else left wasn't true for me at all. The dogs were very friendly and not scary at all. It was a lovely experience and just what I needed.

We loved camping at Jason & Julie’s! The sites were numbered clearly and there were some adorable A-frames to stay in as well. The directions were easy to follow and we met a very sweet farm kitty! The new showers are phenomenal. We are already planning our next trip to Bentonville and are looking forward to staying with Jason and Julie again!

Pea Ridge bike camp is a perfect spot. Damon goes out of his way to make sure you have as many of the comforts of home while camping. Electricity, running water, clean bathrooms, warm showers, fire wood, a common area with gas grill and shaded table. I had a youth group of 24 boys and 7 adults and it was an awesome week. Couldn’t ask for more from a host. Would highly recommend!

Stayed a night in a camper van and had a lovely stay. The host has curated a great camping set up and vibe. Loved the outdoor shower. Navigating arrival/directions, the grounds, electric hook up, and check out was a breeze.

Beautiful property! We enjoyed site 4 and the perfectly spaced trees for a hammock. It was lovely and quiet in the evening and fun to watch the fireflies twinkle. It was less than a mile over a hill to the Back 40 trails - so nice to be able to bike from camp! Showers were hot and bathrooms were clean. And there was a handy bike wash station. Jason and Julie were friendly as were the other guests.

2 nights at Riverdream Camps

This was a really pretty place just a 3 minute walk from the Kings River. There had been a lot of rain so for 1 of my 2 days I was the only camper. If the campsites had been full there would not have been privacy because the sites are narrow without any screening between sites. But all and all it was interesting and eclectic and right next to an outfitted if you want to do the river. I would definitely come back.

The Pea Ridge Bike Camp has primitive campsites available for visitors to Northwest Arkansas and can accommodate tent campers, campervans, small and large campers and RVs. Even smaller Class A motorhomes (length isn't an issue but weight on a grassy field might be a concern should it rain heavily) We offer large, spacious campsites along with firepits, free firewood and large cable spool tables at each campsite. Potable water, outside sinks, an outside shower, 3 large ADA portable toilets (1 in front and 2 in back), and trash bins are centrally located to most of the areas. There is a large in-ground community firepit, a large canopy, 4 picnic tables on the property, a propane barbecue grill, a bike wash station, 2 hammocks on frames and a vintage phone booth (with phone charging capabilities, visitor information and trail maps) onsite. We are currently providing free firewood for each firepit. Flexible check in/out times. Pea Ridge Bike Camp is about 7 miles to downtown Bentonville and only 5 miles from Exit 88 and I-49. We are located n the country, yet only 1/8 mile to state highway 72. Restaurants, food trucks, groceries, banking and laundry facilities are only 2 miles away in Pea Ridge. Pea Ridge Bike Camp is located 5 miles northeast of Bentonville and most of the bike trails are on the north side of Bentonville. The gravel trails run right in front of Pea Ridge Bike Camp on Blue Jay Rd. We do offer group camping and the dispersed campsite locations are only a suggestion. We are very flexible with arrival and departure times. We will allow low-noise generators to be used, but have limited them to the dispersed sites in order to better accommodate all of our guests. * We do require you to book into a dispersed campsite in order to use a generator. ** Please let us know If you are planning to use a generator. We will try to accommodate those wishing to use them and those that do not want to be around them. Please call with any questions or concerns. Since our intention is to provide camping space for visitors to the area, we have limited the length-of-stay to 10 days. It is 20 minutes into Eureka Springs. You will need all wheel drive minimum.

Fitzgerald Mountain RV Camp

This land is a six acre slice of property that includes a meadow, wooded areas, a small pine forest, native stones galore, a steep mountain side, giant boulders, a wet weather stream and pond, and 2 old tin barns. From West to East, the property starts flat but then begins to slope upward as it runs from the base of Fitzgerald Mountain Eastward nearly to the top of the mountain. The former homestead was removed within the past 20 years, creating a fantastic spot for the campground. It is located a short distance from Fitzgerald Station, which was a well known stop on Military road (later known as Butterfield stage line) in the 1830’s. The camp is only 2 miles from historic downtown Springdale, which is an area undergoing exciting revitalization. A concrete trail is planned that will connect the camp area to downtown making biking to restaurants and pubs much easier in the near future. The Razorback Greenway runs through downtown, and provides a biking connection to all of Northwest Arknsas.Learn more about this land:Fitzgerald Mountain Van and RV Camp offers 2 RV spots (26' max) with ride in / ride out access to Fitzgerald Mountain's world class trails. The mountain is home to OZ trails mountain biking and hiking for all levels. (look up OZ trails - Fitzgerald Mountain)The 2 van camper/RV spots sit at the base of a shade tree and the entry to the “Goat Trail.” This trail (named for the adjacent goat farm) will lead campers to the campfire area, "Fitzmo Barn", and Butterfield trail. Fitzmo barn has a map where you can leave your mark by putting a pin in your hometown and signing the wall. Leave your brand's sticker on the wall so other bikers and hikers can find their way to your hometown spots. The barn has chairs for the fire pit area, and can also provide some shelter if it rains.Butterfield trail crosses the camp area adjacent to Fitzmo Barn. Head North on Butterfield to connect with blue and black trails including the “best trail ever” and fantastic views from the mountain top. Head South to connect with trails for all skill levels including a strider course for the kids at Bayyari Park. Bayyari Park is only 1/3 mile away and has public restrooms that I'm told "remain open until 10:00 PM year round unless there is extreme cold."The only neighbors of the camp have a small farm to the North, and their goats and peacock occasionally visit the camp’s Western field. Other than these neighbors, the area feels secluded, especially at the fire pit and barn area. Fitzgerald is a historical area. Fitzgerald station is nearby, and served as a stop on the Butterfield overland stagecoach mail route that was used in the 1800s. Downtown Springdale is 2 miles away, and the pubs and restaurants cater to bikers. A paved trail is planned for the near future that will provide bike access to downtown.*Note* Backing up to a turn around area will be required for exit from the RV spots.
