Van Buren River Fun RV & Campsites opened for the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 with a sold out campground! It was an awesome experience to see the beautiful Eclipse!! Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a ton of fun!
This campground is unique because it comes with private access to 1 mile of river access at Shote Hole Bluff there's a shallow gravel bar for swimming, lounging in the sun in your chair, cooking out, a boat dock, you can set up a canopy for the day and have fun in the sun in the pristine crystal clear gorgeous spring fed Current River!
The RV and camp sites have access to a potable water spigot, a porta potty all season long from May 24th through September 3rd, a sewer dump site and the RV and campsites have their own fire rings. The river is directly across the road from the campground.

Lake Perry Campground was established in July, 2024. We are located just outside the main gates of Lake Perry. Lake Perry is a private, gated, lake community that is only accessible by lot owners and their guests. Lake Perry Campground offers 17 full hookup sites consisting of public water, 70 amp electric, and public sewer. 9 sites are pull through lots that are 25' wide x 35' long, and 8 back-in lots ranging from 25-60' wide and 30-100' long. Two buddy lots (camper & tent) are available as well. We also have 1 tent lot with 20 amp electric and water.
Completed in August 2025, is a 30' x 50' pavilion with restrooms (2 toilets) and (1) floor to ceiling tile shower in each restroom. A tankless hot water heater was installed for endless hot water. A seasonal bar & grill operates on the weekends and sometimes more serving canned beer, mixed drinks, premium wines, and adult slushy drinks such as the nearly famous Perrywacker. There is Starlink wifi and an ice vending machine on-site 24/7. Also available late winter/early spring 2026 is a 400 square foot studio cabin featuring a 12x16 deck, bedroom, full kitchen, full bath, and a kitchenette/bar. (Sleeps 4)
We are 5 miles from Mark Twain national Forest, as well as multiple conservation areas with creek access. Several wineries are nearby through scenic backroads. (Charleville, Twin Oaks, Sand Creek). We are about 4–5 miles from Winona, Missouri, where you can find fuel, groceries, and basic supplies.
Each campsite includes a 3 or 4 foot wide fire ring, picnic table, and clearly marked campsite area.
The North Sites are designed for up to 3 vehicles each. And up to 10 people at each site. The Camper Pull through site (first site inside the fence) can accommodate the camper plus 2-3 vehicles and the Tent site (the 2nd site) can accommodate 3 vehicles plus tents.

Van Buren River Fun RV & Campsites opened for the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 with a sold out campground! It was an awesome experience to see the beautiful Eclipse!! Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a ton of fun!
This campground is unique because it comes with private access to 1 mile of river access at Shote Hole Bluff there's a shallow gravel bar for swimming, lounging in the sun in your chair, cooking out, a boat dock, you can set up a canopy for the day and have fun in the sun in the pristine crystal clear gorgeous spring fed Current River!
The RV and camp sites have access to a potable water spigot, a porta potty all season long from May 24th through September 3rd, a sewer dump site and the RV and campsites have their own fire rings. The river is directly across the road from the campground.
This is the quietest campground that is close to the river and it is very close to Van Buren.
It is a rare luxury to have walking access to the Current River.

Lake Perry Campground was established in July, 2024. We are located just outside the main gates of Lake Perry. Lake Perry is a private, gated, lake community that is only accessible by lot owners and their guests. Lake Perry Campground offers 17 full hookup sites consisting of public water, 70 amp electric, and public sewer. 9 sites are pull through lots that are 25' wide x 35' long, and 8 back-in lots ranging from 25-60' wide and 30-100' long. Two buddy lots (camper & tent) are available as well. We also have 1 tent lot with 20 amp electric and water.
Completed in August 2025, is a 30' x 50' pavilion with restrooms (2 toilets) and (1) floor to ceiling tile shower in each restroom. A tankless hot water heater was installed for endless hot water. A seasonal bar & grill operates on the weekends and sometimes more serving canned beer, mixed drinks, premium wines, and adult slushy drinks such as the nearly famous Perrywacker. There is Starlink wifi and an ice vending machine on-site 24/7. Also available late winter/early spring 2026 is a 400 square foot studio cabin featuring a 12x16 deck, bedroom, full kitchen, full bath, and a kitchenette/bar. (Sleeps 4)
We are 5 miles from Mark Twain national Forest, as well as multiple conservation areas with creek access. Several wineries are nearby through scenic backroads. (Charleville, Twin Oaks, Sand Creek). Bring your SXS's for days of backroad riding that spans 4 counties (Perry, Ste Genevieve, Madison, and Bollinger). Ozark Ridge Spike Camps – Quiet Primitive Camping in the Ozarks

Ozark Ridge Spike Camps offer quiet, primitive campsites on a wooded ridge surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest and Rocky Creek Conservation Area. If you enjoy exploring the woods, hunting, hiking, mushroom hunting, or simply getting away from crowds, this is a great Ozark basecamp.
We are about 4–5 miles from Winona, Missouri, where you can find fuel, groceries, and basic supplies.
Each campsite includes a 3 or 4 foot wide fire ring, picnic table, and clearly marked campsite area.
The North Sites are designed for up to 3 vehicles each. And up to 10 people at each site. The Camper Pull through site (first site inside the fence) can accommodate the camper plus 2-3 vehicles and the Tent site (the 2nd site) can accommodate 3 vehicles plus tents.

From camp you can drive, ride or walk into nearby public land where logging roads and powerline trails run for miles through the Ozark hills.
Ozark Ridge Spike Camps are great for hiking, wildlife watching, mushroom hunting, and hunting during legal seasons. The rivers near Eminence and Alley Spring are also a short drive away.
Access: Rural gravel roads through the Mark Twain Forest. Gravel and natural roads may become muddy after rain. Please be prepared.

Darrell and Jeanna were excellent hosts; they were friendly and helpful while also being mindful of the importance of the solitude needed to thoroughly enjoy their beautiful property. We will definitely go back for another visit (or more).
This visit was towards the end of November, so the shower and privy were welcome comforts in the brisk weather, though also invigorating. Fireside relaxation was the primary activity as we watched an impressive variety of birds by the pond. With the lack of light pollution, the stargazing opportunities were a treat. We hope to be back for the wine harvest next year!

This full hook-up site was perfect in every way! It is so peaceful and in a pretty setting. We spent a week and enjoyed each day. Teresa is a wonderful host and a very kind person. This was our third consecutive year camping at Bill’s campground, and each time is as wonderful as before (if not more). Bill cares for the land so well and thoughtfully that it’s difficult not to be stunned everywhere you look. Key highlights (besides the joy of wilderness camping) include a variety of terrains, a cold and refreshing creek, a pond, generous wood bundles/refills, and great conversations with Bill. There are plenty of attractions nearby such as Elephant Rocks and Johnson’s Shut Ins, which I highly recommend checking out if you’re in the area. Thank you as always, Bill!

The host were very friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed right there at the campsite. Catching smallmouth in the creek was anwesome and we put them all back for future fishermen. It was a short drive to Johnson Shut-ins one day and the Current river another day. We had a great stay!

Michelle and Paul's land was a simple, well thought out area that provided everything our group needed for a multi-day stay on what was the hottest weekend of the Summer so far!
I unfortunately had to leave early, but the rest of our group was able to stay and enjoy the sights in the area as well as at the campground itself. The creek was beautiful, with crystal clear waters and tons of little critters for kiddos (and kids at heart) to find. The reviews are correct that rock hounding was also a solid 10/10 here!
Michelle greeted us upon arrival, and had been kind enough to move us to a spot in the shade so that we didn't have to worry about fighting the heat even more. Her directions were spot on, and she was always available either through text, or as she rode around checking on her guests. Amenities such as the bathrooms and shower were simple, which is to be expected when you take the camping route. We were simply happy to have them available!! Lots of enjoyable wildlife, good people, stunning sights, and good memories to be made. We would be happy to stay again! (when it's not 115° index 😅)

We reserved the entire Williams camp for float trip group and it worked great! Had 4 campers setup and half dozen tents. Water and electric worked great also! Floated the eleven point river with Hufstedlars outfit. They were able to pickup/dropoff at our location, which is clutch, nobody had to drive after the float. It was really nice to have a place for our group all by ourselves, very secluded but still easily accessible. Phone service was 50/50 for some of us, but personally my phone worked well the entire time while at the campsite. You are definitely in the woods, so be ready with the bug spray and tick prevention. Overall, my group of 18 had a great experience here, we would def reserve this again when we come back to the 11pt River.

MY HUSBAND AND I LOVED CAMPSITE 31! IT WAS SECLUDED, SHADED, AND HAS GREAT VIEWS. YOU ARE NOT ON TOP OF YOUR NEIGHBORS. THE BATHROOMS WERE CLEAN. WE DIDN'T GET TO SWIM BUT THE POOL WAS CLEAN AND VERY INVITING. DOG FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT. STAFF WAS EASILY REACHED AND NICE ABOUT ME CALLING TO GET FIREWOOD AND STAY AND EXTRA NIGHT. WE VISITED STATE PARKS CLOSE BY, THERE WERE PLENTY OF SWIMMING HOLES WE ENJOYED. THEY HAD A STORE YOU CAN CALL STAFF TO MAKE A PURCHASE, LIMITED MERCHANDISE. WE WERE ABLE TO RELAX AND ENJOY OUR TIME AND PLAN TO GO BACK AS SOON AS WE CAN!

We had such a great time camping here! The host was very nice, and the property was spacious and really peaceful. It wasn’t crowded at all, which made it feel like our own little escape. One of my favorite parts was falling asleep to the sound of the spring right next to our tent. It was so relaxing. My boyfriend and I also explored Elephant Rocks and Johnson’s Shut-Ins while we were in the area.

It did rain more than we liked on Friday, it flooded 2 of our tents but dried up quickly. They were calling for more rain Saturday evening and Sunday so we ended up packing up early(Saturday afternoon) so we didn't flood again, but overall it was a great stay. We were secluded, it was peaceful, the kids enjoyed the creek. Shelly showed us all the swimming spots and the kids loved the swimming and walking the creek. Will be returning!

This campground was exactly what I needed— after graduating from school I really just wanted to get away and recenter myself. 1855 Campground was the perfect spot to do that, I spent most of the time during my 4 days out there just admiring what was around me.
I stayed at site 6 which is nestled into the woods and right next to a lovely little meadow. It was fun exploring the campground and seeing the wildlife. I spent some time laying in the sun on the edge of the lake and floating out on an oversized tube. The campground is fairly close to other sights in the area; Johnson’s Shut-Ins, Taum Sauk Mountain, and I spent an afternoon up at Council Bluffs Lake (a nice 40 minute drive).
It’s definitely wilderness camping, but it’s a fantastic spot for those who enjoy it. The outhouse is well maintained and I was able to get water from the spring on site and Bill had already set me up with some firewood at my site when I arrived. It’s very quiet and incredibly scenic.
I loved my stay and hope to return someday :)
