This was a great place to camp. Great scenery, saw bald eagles and lots of wildlife. Camp sites are right by a rolling creek.
The campground host was a great guy and showed us around, super helpful.

Host is so helpful. He provides wood at a reasonable rate. Access to the creek is more than perfect and the water level there never seems to change, you can sit in a raft in the shallow area or visit the swimming hole (there are two, one closet to the primitive camp sites is the right, additionally if you walk down the creek to the left past the first bend you will find an even bigger swimming hole with a sandy beach, but shh! don't tell anyone I said that). This place is so close the shut ins, and for me that is a plus. This place is just so peaceful and full of people who share similar views about nature and our place within it. It has become one of my favorite spots. I’m so thankful that Harley is the kind of person who is willing to share his little piece of heaven with others, which is just another piece of collective experience of this place. I would love to leave a bad review to keep people from coming here and booking my favorite spot, but if Harley can open his place for me to further strengthen my connection with nature, it just doesn't feel right that I not let my kind of people know. Birds of a feather flock together.

Wonderful spot to camp! Had a grill and a place for a campfire plus a picnic table! The owner was so kind and stopped by when I got there and one more time a few hours later for a couple minutes just to check if I had everything I needed. He made me feel comfortable and he keeps wonderful care of his property. Could not recommend this campsite more!

Super nice and clean spot, we set up our tent about 20 yards from the river. Great for spending a day or 2 so you can go explore the River and cave not far from the campsite. Harless is super friendly and a great host, hooked me up with some fire wood upon arrival.

Had a blast! Harless was a great host, checked in here and there making sure we had what we needed. Kids had a blast, would definitely recommend! Not far from the shut ins or just enjoy the stretch of river right off your camp. Thanks for a awesome weekend. We will be back!

I was just looking to pull off for one night on a long trip up north. I was hoping to find something close to some type of water, that was easy to find and pull in and out of, so I didn’t bother the weekenders for the holiday. This spot was perfect for all of my needs and it was still pretty quiet given the holiday weekend.

We reserved the entire Williams camp for float trip group and it worked great! Had 4 campers setup and half dozen tents. Water and electric worked great also! Floated the eleven point river with Hufstedlars outfit. They were able to pickup/dropoff at our location, which is clutch, nobody had to drive after the float. It was really nice to have a place for our group all by ourselves, very secluded but still easily accessible. Phone service was 50/50 for some of us, but personally my phone worked well the entire time while at the campsite. You are definitely in the woods, so be ready with the bug spray and tick prevention. Overall, my group of 18 had a great experience here, we would def reserve this again when we come back to the 11pt River.

Great site close to the river and the shut ins. Owner was very kind, gave us free firewood, made sure we were taken care of, and put on a fireworks show on the 4th of July. I would recommend staying here if you want to get to the near bye shut ins early before everyone else shows up.

Quiet peaceful, enjoyed time there, host came and visited, nice guy, stayed in primitive area, what I was looking for. There is restroom, and trash deposit area.. very close to Amidon state park. Noticed they do have electric hook ups. Good place to go if you don't want all the hussle and bussile. Town close by in case you forgot something, but who ever does that, lol, thanks Harley.

The primitive sites are not marked with numbers yet, but it is in the plan. Harless met us when we arrived. He shared with us our #10 space and offered to cut limbs if need be for our roof top tent. Then he suggested we could set up across the Upper Castor on the rock bank. I was SO excited! I have been wanting to do this with our new Lone Peak camper. It was a perfect location for us. We listened to the babbling water next to us as we fell asleep. We love to river wallow, putting our beach chairs in the water and relaxing. The water is crystal clear and beautiful. The other campers were no problems, and quiet hours were quiet. It a mile from amazing Pink Rock aka Castor River Shutins but we have been there many times. The actual campsite was well mown and cared for, and included a metal picnic table and fire pit and lots of shade. The only drawback was it being so close to the road and the many drivers going to the shut-ins kicking up gravel dust going by. Because we were across the river, that did not bother us at all. The other primitive sites do have a little more distance from the road if you are reading to choose a site number. Someone came up around 9:30 p.m. & started setting up camp in our spot, but Harless was right there within a short time and the folks left. There were some fireworks which frightened our dogs, but they stopped around 10 p.m. It might have been neighbors.
