All You Need is a 111 acre paradise that is home to some VERY unique and endangered habitat. Our northern boundary is a tract of DeSoto National Forest, where we have practically exclusive access to another 90 acres of longleaf pine savannah and more bottomland creeks.
The sandhills are a "desert in the rain," home to prickly pear cactus and yuccas, abundant lichens (deer "moss"), the endangered black pine snake, and our mascot, the also endangered Gopher Tortoise.
We're a nature education and retreat center where we share permaculture practices, homesteading/sustainable living skills, conservation practices, and approaches to connecting more deeply to the land. Check out our sister non-profit, the Burrow Nature Center.
You will have access to our many walking paths and our swimming pond, as well as a 15 minute walk to part of DeSoto National Forest, which butts up to our property line.
We would love to have you as our guest on the land, and are especially eager to meet travelers who deeply love nature and want to live in better relationship to it!

95 acres on the beautiful Topisaw Creek. Here we've raised 5 kids and a multitude of dogs, cats and chickens and a small herd of pineywoods cattle. The woods are quiet and undisturbed , harboring native species like jack in the pulpit, trillium and Florida anise. The spring-fed (and thus always refreshing!) Topisaw Creek forms the eastern border of our property, so plan to spend time on the sandy beaches and rock bars soaking up the sun or hunting for rocks and fossils (petrified wood and arrowheads have been found here). Many folks also enjoy a leisurely float down the creek in inner tubes ('tubing') or in a kayak. (Please note that after heavy rains the creek rises to epic heights and is too dangerous to navigate.) Little to no light pollution makes for amazing stargazing!

I originally planned to tent camp for five nights as I passed through on a long road trip tour of southern states. It was so wonderful I stayed two weeks! I camped in spot #2 along the creek with my dogs and all of us relaxed and enjoyed every single day to the fullest. From long walks in the creek, to exploring the farm and the fishing pond with a covered dock that is home to, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, quail and even a pair of peacocks! The site was level, clean and HUGE, and the walk to the camper pavilion, outdoor (cold) shower and flushing toilet was not far at all. The owners, Alicia and CJ were kind and very laid back. This is a FARM, surrounded by other farms and country properties, in the woods, so expect to hear nigh time noises and early rooster crows. I cannot wait to go back, hopefully When all the magnolia trees are in bloom. Although I do not have kids traveling with me, the families that came over the weekends all loved it too!

I really enjoyed my time at Creekside. The tent spots were well spaced out, and night was quiet. Loved seeing all the animals, and walking around. The owners were super nice.

Site #1 was the perfect camping spot for my partner and our dogs. It was very peaceful and quiet. Easy walk from where you park to where you camp. The trails were well maintained. At night, the sound of frogs was easy to sleep to. Highly recommend. Will go back.

For sure one of the best spots I’ve been to. Trails, fishing, kayaking and so much peace. The dogs were able to run, I got to relax on the water and my son was free to explore, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Love camping here. Theres lots of space, it’s beautiful and private. Good hammock trees and wonderful river for splashing in. Having the table and chairs already there is definitely helpful.

Very peaceful- the area is large, beautiful and relaxing. Horses grazing in the pasture, gorgeous sunrise & a friendly host made our night out camping fun. Clean restrooms available and a funny pair of donkeys by the barn. We walked the trail area with our dogs and enjoyed every moment.

We stayed at camp site 8 which had the woods behind us and an open field in front. Even though we were not tucked in the woods, the spot still offered constant shade for our tent and plenty of shade around the rest of the area. Perfect spot for our trip with 2 young kids and 2 dogs. The creek was pretty cool, kids definelty could spend all day there but id highly recommend to wear water shoes in the water and on the sand/rocks.

Beautiful property that is a short drive from good hiking spots and Tupelo. Kitchenette area is a separate sun room, with comfortable seating, and is a nice bonus. There was no hot water when we were there and one of the neighbors was very loud (very loud TV or sound system - but not much the hosts can do about that).

These folks have a really nice little hobby farm with some farm stock in a cute barn. They provide access to a really cool private porch near the lake. Campsite was flat and up-to-date. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, albeit just passing through.

My son and I stayed on Clays property one night on a drive from FL to Missouri. The property was great. We camped right by the pond and saw several deer and had a fantastic view of the stars. I’d definitely stay here again 👍👍
