This is a newer campground to Rock County near Luverne, MN. This property is known as the "boy scouts" by the locals.
When we were kids we spent time on this property riding bike, horses, and exploring.
We have turned this 13 acre property into
22 site campground that we are excited to share with you.

Nestled in a bed of trees just 2 miles from I-90 and 1/4 mile South of the Luverne City Park. This campground has 12 sites with rural water and 20,30&50 amp electric at every site. Dump Station. 8 Full Hook Up Sites (Sewer, Water, Electric) Two small ponds and shade trees. Wifi. Shower House/Bathrooms.
Campers can enjoy the quiet place to relax and enjoy nature and wildlife, a perfect place for bird watching. We also have a paved bike trial that connects to the campground that leads to miles of trials around Luverne and out to the State park.

We stayed here twice- once on our way west and again on our way back home. Sites are mostly level and very easy to get into. It's extremely affordable for the amenities provided and a great option for a place to rest for the night. It'll definitely stay on our list as a stopover for future trips out west.

This stop was just a quick overnight on our journey eastbound. We fell in love with the neighboring town (Luverne, MN). The town is quaint and loaded with things to do and see. One of the town’s paved bike trails even connects the campground to town and passes through a beautiful town park, the Rocky River and a grassy field. The campground was quiet with a forest on one side and a field on the other, and the campground was quick to respond to questions. The campground is pretty close to I-90 but you couldn’t hear any highway noise.

River Road Campground was exactly what we were looking for - a nice easy 1 night stay. The campground was basic with a decent amount of shade trees. It was comparatively easy to get to from I-90. We were impressed with how simple the process of getting a campsite was. And the price was right too!
