Flandrau Campground

The campground in Flandrau State Park is a great spot for hikers to spend the night

Fort Ridgely Campground

Situated slightly out of the way on the southern end of the park, the rustic campsites at Fort Ridgely Campground offer a little more privacy and peacefulness than the main campground

You can even talk to your golfing buddies to come along on this camping trip . The course in this park has beautiful greens and views .  The course here has been in jeopardy of closing but friends of the park have kept it alive and beautiful so far .

This is the upper falls , usually a much more populated area. Keep walking , past the next the waterfall and down the stairs to venture into the more secluded woods .

This property has 4 camp spots. Sites 1 and 4 have a boat landing. All sites have shades trees that can hold hammocks. All sites are right next to the lake. Site 3 has a dock that all can use. There is excellent swimming with a sandy bottom at the south end of the lake. The lake is stocked with perch in 2024 but has walleye, northern, bass as well. It is also close to many lakes that are good for fishing. I have a 14' fishing boat with trolling motor, a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, and canoe for campers to use for free. Firewood is available for $5/day. There is some hiking on the property and much near by. Biking is also good with small lakes nearby to visit. The camping here is very peaceful with wonderful views and the wildlife is awesome! 120 volt power is at all sites and 220 can reach sites 2 and 3. There is warm showers and flushing toilets. Also all sites are drive through on hard ground grass. Grates are provided for cooking over the fire. There is Wi-Fi internet that reaches sites 1-3

Mn River Valley Sanctuary

Welcome, we have a small flock of waterfowl and chickens and a herd of goats to interact with, volunteer some time in our organic garden, peer up into endless night skies or use us a s a base camp to go exploring the several county and state parks, Natural and Scientific areas, hiking trails and local communities. We are located about 5 miles from either Franklin or Fairfax and less than 20 minutes to Redwood Falls, Jackpot Junction and New Ulm.

Sit by the lake with a campfire as you watch for Bald Eagles and Swans.

Our farm is designed for RV's, Campers, any thing that is self contained.

Water and electricity are available for an additional $25 per day for both. We offer firewood to purchase $10, place payment donation box.

With a mile of lake shore, you can camp in secluded Grass fields, to Oak Savanna.

We live on a 10 acre property with many mature trees and a walking path cut through the middle.  We do not have any farm animals but there are some in area so the normal farm smells blow through on occasion.   We have a 7 hole disc golf course on the property.  We have six 30 amp/110 electric hook ups and 2 water hook ups.  There is plenty of room to play yard games.  The historic Dodd Ford bridge just 3 miles away.  The small town of Amboy is just 4 miles away.  There is a Casey's gas station in town and a couple different dining options.  The stars are amazing at night out here.

Albie’s Acreage

Set in the heart of SW MN plains surrounded by wide open spaces, wind turbines and amazing sunsets. This property has young pine trees and quite a bit of privacy with some gardens and peaceful spots to rest and recoup after a long day in the car traveling. We just put down a gravel 20X 40 parking pad. We have a fire ring and grill available if you would like to use it and fire wood available for a minimal purchase fee.

An example of a beautiful sunset 🌅. Where the camper is parked is where you would park your camper or trailer/5th wheel. If you wanted to tent, you could of course pitch a tent or two of course as well. 

We do have a portable solo stove you may use along with fire wood. Just let us know, but use proper fire safety and put out before retiring for the evening. 

We have several garden patches with flowers and vegetables. Ask about what is in season and there is a possibility of picking your own produce or us picking some for you for a reasonable cost. Chemical free and organic !

Adjacent to the camper spot is a wild flower patch- it starts to really bloom come July and adds to the view!

We offer some libations and small snacks during your stay for purchase and to take on the road with you.
