We bought a trailer on a seasonal site and have thoroughly enjoyed our summers here ever since! Our sons grew up on the lake, boating and fishing and exploring the area and we have developed a wonderful lake-family. We have watched Bill and Candy Ruttger build the resort into the beautiful property that it is today and feel privileged to have the opportunity to now share it with you. The 80-acre property is carved out of a Norway pine plantation. Sites are approximately 10,000 square ft. in size with about 50 ft. of trees between each site for semi-privacy. We have tried to maintain a balance of nature while making the sites as RV friendly as possible. Although the property is located in the country, it is located along a state highway for easy access and there are three towns and many amenities and recreational venues within 15 minutes drive. Currently no hook-ups, but there is a yard hydrant and dump station. There are also portable restrooms on site.

I was so sad I had to cut my trip short for family reasons. I was scheduled to stay six nights. I had the best time. A completely new camping experience for me. One site. Thirty-six acres. All mine. All to yourself. One fire pit. One picnic table. Who does this? Lisa and her husband do. They could fit ten more sites on their property if they wanted, but they know the value of this once in a lifetime. It was quiet. Peaceful. Beautiful. I saw Lisa on the first day. She welcomed me with a smile on a quad. But she was always in touch and she responded quickly to my questions. I liked that her roosters woke me up every morning. I regret not going on the trail. But with so much space I was able to shank a few golf balls into the field with my nine iron. This may be your only chance to get a slight idea of what Henry David Thoreau at Walden felt like. It’s different. WELL worth the fee. And you’ll come away feeling better about pretty much everything.

Allen was a great host and met us pretty late to lead us to the site. We really appreciated it because the property is HUGE and we never would have found it without his help.
The site was tucked back in the woods- very quiet and private. The land was a bit lumpy, which is fine for RVs, but we made the choice to tent camp. We were still able to find a good patch to set up our tent and really enjoyed the stargazing and sounds of nature. There was firewood available, but I would recommend bringing your own. There had been a lot of rain that week and the firewood is not protected from the elements. Allen offered to bring us some more, which was very kind, but I would at least have some ready for your first night.

Perfect for boondocking! There is water at the rv dump as well as clean portables dotted throughout the acreage. Importantly, there is plenty of space for a relatively private stay.
We were in site 101 and could hear the road quite clearly but didn’t mind, you may want to choose a deeper site.
The tree plantation was perfect for a hammock!

This is a place that is perfect for families. We enjoyed reading quietly in our RV site and listening to the kids pal around and have the time of their lives. The manager was very friendly and really accommodating when we had to stay part of a day longer because our camper awning got stuck in the open position. The facilities including bathrooms are clean and well kept. And it's free to use the kayaks and canoe. They also have fishing boats for rent.
