Nice quiet spot. I stayed at site 9 and it was visible from the road, but that probably wouldn’t be the case in the spring and summer. I came specifically to see the northern lights because it was the closest area to the Twin Cities with low light pollution, and it was perfect for that. Fairly tucked away with a big open field down the trail.

We had a nice time tent camping on Kim’s land. They offered to do pizzas if we wanted for dinner because they were also hosting a wedding and let my boys help make them. Millie’s meat lovers was delicious. The farm animals were adorable and we especially loved the extra friendly donkeys. We also enjoyed the extra added breakfast with cinnamon rolls and coffee in the morning. I’d definitely recommend you check out this beautiful glamping experience. We felt like honored guests.

We enjoyed our stay so much! This is a lovely, quiet spot. Easy to find, but no highway noise. Check in was straightforward with great communication from the hosts. You can see the other sites, but they are comfortably separated. Beautiful sunset view from under the giant old oak tree shading our little camper. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to stay and would definitely recommend.

We had such a great stay on Kim's land. The animals were gentle, the pizza was delicious, and the scenery was beautiful. It was a perfect quick camping trip coming from Saint Paul with a dog and 2 kids.

It was a very private rustic campsite. Carl's a very good host and will help out with whatever you need. The campground is right next to the Rum River State Forest with lots of hiking and trails to explore. The night skies are fantastic! I was able to have my dogs off leash, they loved exploring and taking a little dip in the river!

The site was private and groomed. There is no cell service but the host was available up the road. Carl, his wife and his daughter stopped by our site and were very welcoming and enjoyable. It was a wonderful visit and I plan to return and check out the mini cabin he has😁

This is indeed a camping spot to be proud of! Obviously much thought went into to creating this amazing spot. A nicely decorated and maintained huge space, evergreens planted for even more privacy, generous DRY wood supply, super clean outhouse with light, table with bench and electricity. The hayfields were mowed and our dog sure enjoyed running over it. There is even a path through the woods. One of our favorite hipcamps, we would love to return.

Great communication and beautiful site! I was surprised to see my cell service did not work for the last few hundred feet of the drive but that concern was completely quelled by the beautiful river a few yards from my campsite. I am absolutely going to come back here.

Kim is a great host. We booked a campsite, and our friends booked one of the glamming setups. The campsites are tucked away in a corridor that runs along the fence for the cows and other herd animals. Although the area is quite remote and relaxing vibe among farm and other open fields, the campsites are within view of two other adjacent farm houses and doesn’t offer a ton of privacy. The add-ons, especially the coffee and rolls are definitely worth it. With her 4wheeler, Kim brought them over to our tent on a tray. It was really cute. It was a great time waking up next to the friendly herd of cows. They came right up to us and the dog to investigate. Some even let us pet their noses. The farm, animals, the property is well thought out and maintained very well. We were able to join pizza night on our arrival Saturday night, and the pizza is fantastic. Highly recommend booking during a time you can take advantage of that.
