Weekend Trip to 34Long Haul Flower Farm

Doug was a fantastic host and was incredibly accommodating. Meeting the goats and chickens was a ton of fun, you even get to hold one (if you’re lucky enough to catch one) but luckily, there are resident “chicken whisperers” on site. The campsite was private, with plenty of space to set up a tent, and stretch out and relax and enjoy nature. Be sure to follow the trail up the hill to check out the beautiful view of the hills nearby, and spend some time in one of the on-site hammocks!

4 nights at Pine Creek⛺️💫Private Hilltop Camp

Very cool private site. We loved walking down the country road and gazing at the meadow. The marked trail at the campsite was fun to explore. Almost no mosquitoes at the end of June! 5 minutes from Halls Lake, a beautiful lake with small beach and playground. We kayaked 2 days in a row there. Will plan to come back to E's campsite!

charming farm with plenty of options to camp. easy to find, far enough out it’s quiet but not too far from amenities. fortunate to visit during a breezy few days where the surrounding mint farms made for a pleasant aroma at all times! host was responsive and welcoming. i will be back next time i'm thru the mitten state

Weekend Trip to Tom and Julie's Place

Very much enjoyed my time at the walk-in tent site. The area was well kept and I did not need to clear any sticks or pinecones before setting up my tent. Fire pit was very easy to find and in a good location relative to the rest of the site. Host was very responsive via hipcamp app which was appreciated. The land is beautiful and rich with wildlife, including a surprisingly large number of butterflies! Highly recommend, I'll be coming back soon!

Absolutely gorgeous. Shaded enough to keep cool enough for pre-heat wave temps, lovely animals to engage with, stars at night, and felt secluded while being near enough to town to walk. A perfect spot for young families, couples, groups, and solo trips alike. Matthew was so kind and even saved the day by jumping our car on our way out. We will absolutely be back!

Hen and Hive was beyond expectations. Such a beautiful property with private, wooded campsites. When we arrived we were greeted with fresh eggs and water. The fire pit was so spacious and had everything we needed for a fire cooked meal. Pamela was so kind and showed us around the pasture and we got to meet the animals. The outhouse was also a nice touch with the lovely products Pamela makes. Went home with so many goodies! This place is also very queer friendly and safe (:

We loved tent camping here! The walk down to the walk-up site was not bad at all, other than a tree that was mostly blocking the path! We did find a lot of ticks as well, so just keep an eye out!

Weekend Trip to Oak Lore Lavender Farm

We stayed two lovely nights Elizabeth's Oaklore Lavender Farm in our van. Our daughter and her partner stayed with us for one night. it was easy to find, beautiful and quiet. we purchased some eggs and tea. I haven't tried the tea yet, but it smells divine. the eggs were perfect. The as sunrise, sunset and stars were stunning and the chickens were fun to watch. plus the hosts were welcoming. We would definitely stay as again - maybe reserving the building for movie night!

We had a great time staying at Matthew's spot. It was perfect for our camper van. Easy in and out, plenty of space, and being so close to the river was awesome. It was quiet and secluded but very close to town. The best of both worlds for us.

We are a small bio-dynamic farm situated on 10 acres in West Michigan. the land has small diverse eco-systems. Open meadows with large White pine to dense woods to the back of the property. We have a small diverse fiber herd of Jacob sheep and Nigora Goats along with some heritage Breed chickens including 1 Rooster who watches over the flock. A small group of Cayuga duck work their pest control magic as the snoodle around the entire property. These ducks go everywhere! There are also 2 barn cats, that might visit your camp site if you are traveling without dogs. we also host group of 24 Bee Hives. On the farm we grow a variety of veggies, flowers and Medicinals. We have plots of native woodland medicinals and a variety of other Perennials and Medicinals including Hemp and Cannabis on a very small scale. Everything is grown organically. Sorry, No children under 10 We are also close to the Red Flannel Gun club, quite a bit of the time we hear guns. We are also very close to the Cedar Chase Golf Course if you like golf. Hen and Hive Provisions makes a small collection of Honeys, medicine and full-Spectrum Aromatherapy CBD Topicals that we sell locally and at seasonal markets. Wildlife is on the move. Grass is greening. It's fabulous & appreciated. We are excited to share Our Place with new & returning guests. Glad to be able to offer our slice of heaven to you! ***For the preservation of our property, our septic system, the privacy of other campers, all arrivals MUST be prior to dark setting in. If you can't see the signs & posts, you can damage our property AND your vehicle/equipment. Please see the site rules for current max time for check-in. (With changing daylight hours, this time limit will change throughout the season.) *The property has a lot of wildlife; Deer, Turkey, Rabbits, Coyote, Birds, & Fox. *A small creek runs across the back of the property. *There are many lakes just minutes away, as well as the Huron river for fishing & kayaking. *Public beaches at Lake Chemung & Bishop Lake. *Campfires allowed. Plenty of dead wood around, or you can purchase firewood bundles onsite. *Potable water is available to fill water tanks & containers. It is softened from the house. *Sewer dump station is 5 miles away at Brighton Rec Area (there is a fee). *Pets are allowed (cats & dogs only). They must be leashed at all times (15 ft. max). *Guests that are not part of the Hipcamp Reservation, are not allowed on-site. Guests will need to be met at a location other than our Hipcamp. There are numerous places nearby to gather instead. This assures maximum privacy for all sites & for our family. ***SUMMER ACTIVITIES: *Howell Balloon fest in June. *Howell Melon fest in August. *Captain Frosty's Ice Cream is located approximately 2–3 miles away. They offer a variety of ice cream deliciousness, slushies, shakes, and malts. ***FALL ACTIVITIES: *U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Petting Farm next door. Free wagon rides on the weekends and a free corn maze anytime. However, we've shifted to more stewardship on our property and the adjacent preserve. We'd love to guide you on a hike and teach about the local ecology, flora, and fauna too! My great uncle grew up visiting his great uncle who was one of the first in our family on this land. They were animal and nature lovers, and in their retirement, sold 130 acres to The Nature Conservancy, all of which is now protected as a county nature preserve. Unfortunately, 11 years ago, my great-uncle and aunt had passed, and we had to sell the family land. Serendipitously, as we were looking for a farm homestead to move to, we reconnected with the owners of the land, and they were just deciding to sell it. My family was able to buy back the family land and continue the legacy. -------- Onwards ---- Kathryn and I are restarted our cut-flower farm and hoping to develop a permaculture inspired orchard and keep chickens and pigs. We love living here surrounded by extensive state and county parks and recreation land, while still being close enough to Chelsea and Ann Arbor for all that they provide.
