Very cool historic cabin surrounded by a marsh. My dog had a great time exploring the area. The owners put in a great propane heater and I had a nice warm evening in the cabin. Would definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Life Adventures
Beautiful place & peaceful. I’d you want a nature break, this is the spit for you.. Camp host was on site briefly, his dog Luke kept me company for most of my stay. Already planning a visit next summer when I come to the area.
Few things to note:
*Bring a flashlight, it’s dark when walking to the restroom.
*There are bugs & Spiders everywhere, it’s nature.
*Futon in cabin-s isn’t comfortable, I slept in my zero gravity chair..
*Breathe, and have fun..

Weekend Trip to Baggins Inn
An amazing place to stay if you are looking for a private rustic getaway! My boyfriend and I picked this site to take our 9mo old puppy camping for the first time and it was an incredible experience. We did a lot of hiking, cooking, and relaxing. We saw deer, possums, and turkeys! Just remember to do tick checks!

We had a great time here. Stephen is accommodating and friendly. Luke, the dog, is a perfect gentleman who escorted me to the restroom in the night. We noticed that Cabin M is equipped with an EV charger if that is important to you. We were end of season camping but found everything to be as expected and we plan a return visit in the spring.

I loved staying here! There was a slight miscommunication about my site which was quickly resolved. There are lovely trails, a wonderful wildflower field, and a few open areas to take in the view and sun. The firewood portion supplied for $5 was a great deal and lasted me all 48hours i was present. The cabin was minimally but adequately furnished, the outside space includes plenty of seating and table options too. My dog also had a blast with the wide areas and trails to explore. I do photography and got some lovely shots of different plants, flowers, fungi, myself, my dog, etc. The weather was phenomenal during my visit so it was all around a lovely, magical retreat from the corporate life 🖤

Weekend Trip to Baggins Inn
My husband and I travel all over the country and we have stayed at unique locations over the years. This was a unanimous vote for our very favorite. The setting is something straight out of the cinema. You have 360 views of nature and serenity. The cabin is an art installation. It’s phenomenal. The attention to detail is incredible. The smell of it is something I’d wear like perfume. There is no power and low reception and that’s just what we were looking for. The bathroom is a short walk from the cabin. We brought cute little camping lights that made our stay all the more magical. The sounds of the forest around you and the way the sun and moon both shine down in the woodland is magnificent. We weren’t even checked out before deciding we need to plan a trip back. 10/10.

The cabin was as expected. It’s in a beautiful space that makes you feel far from the noise of more suburban areas. Luke is such a sweetheart and I felt so protected knowing he was around. Every morning he was laying by my chair. I would like to comment on the restroom area, I’ve camped around and this was clean and it was nice to have some items like hand soap and shampoo. Minimal spiders lol I plan on coming here again soon!

What went well:
Stephen’s land was peaceful, well-kept, and had plenty of space to spread out. The property felt private but still easy to access. The natural scenery really stood out — lots of open sky at night for stargazing and beautiful surroundings during the day. Stephen was also a welcoming host, quick to communicate and made sure everything went smoothly.
What stood out:
The quiet atmosphere, the way the land is cared for, and Luke the dog! Luke was such a sweet and friendly presence — he made the stay feel even more welcoming and homey. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a mix of nature, privacy, and a thoughtful host (plus a lovable pup).

Immediately as we pulled in, we were greeted by the friendliest dog ever with treats and a brush for him on the table outside of the cabin! the cabin had LOTS of spiders but they pretty much kept their distance. there was firewood we could buy on site which was really helpful considering the drive to the site is a bit difficult with there being a lot of gravel roads out there. really beautiful land, really cute dog, and lots of wildlife!!

5 nights at Life Adventures
Peace, quiet, and simplicity among the black walnut trees. I stayed in the small cabin which had just what I needed. Cleverly designed, this 8 foot by 10 foot space had a mini fridge, microwave, shelf, table, and futon. The front covered porch is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun cresting over the trees at dawn or painting last light on field next door.
Rain isn’t an obstacle here, it’s a reason to pull out a board game in the pavilion and share with your neighbors. Life Adventures is all about a good, clean, fun camping experience. In fact, this space is available to rent for events like family reunions and weddings.
Stephen was kind and courteous. He checked in on everyone I saw. The neighbors I talked to said they stayed at the campground many times and they plan to come back. I have to say, I agree.
Camp is close to small towns that are reminiscent of antique stores and ice cream shops next to lazy rivers. If you’re hoping to see more nature, the North Country Trail is very near this campground. The NCT offers some moderate hikes and you may pass through hikers heading up to the Huron-Manistee National Forest. Talk to Stephen, he is a wealth of knowledge about the area.

3. Bring reusable hand towels
4. Bring biodegradable cleaner (Dr. Bronner’s?)

Weekend Trip to Life Adventures
It was a super affordable place to get away for a night, so we didn't expect anything fancy. Staying here is basically staying at a small campground. The cabin is a small shed made up as a little cabin. The large awnings were useful, the whole thing sits on a concrete slab. Looked like a tree fell through one of the awnings and there were materials there, probably to fix it. A large fire pit was full of ash, a broken rock climbing wall was nearby. There's a large bathroom facility with a shower, and a few camping sites nearby. The cabin is not out by itself, but amongst all this. Neighbors were nice. Luke, the camp dog, was a sweetheart. Inside the cabin, there's a tiny refrigerator and a little microwave and a couple outlets. The queen bed was on the stiffer side but very comfortable. There is no AC or heat. Once we aired the heat out of the room, it was pleasant inside.
Overall, we had a good time. It's close to town, you can see the stars at night, it's quiet, and it wasn't crowded. It's quite a bargain. Met the owner briefly as he was doing some work around the camp. Pleasant and polite. We walked some of the trails, which were nice.
I recommend a stay.
