The Haven Camping and Outdoor Wedding Venue began in 2022, Our goal is to strive to share the property that God has graciously blessed us with, with the public. The Haven is nestled on 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of Oak, Beach and Walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: The River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, The River under The Canopy of trees (site 2) small RV and tent site, The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4) great views of the river. The Cozy Corner (Site 3) by the woods on the river (this is a secluded corner and very private.) And last but not least our Cozy Camper vintage Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents (2) (site 5). Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views of the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.” Every site is first come first serve. Book earlier to get your desired spot! Bring your toys and play in the great outdoors! We have corn hole toss, horseshoe toss, but if you have toys you can use them here, throw the football, Frisbee or play some volleyball or Tether ball whichever! Welcome to our little slice of heaven along the Grand River in Grand Haven, MI. Voted one of the best places to visit in '22 and '23. Our property is at the end of a private road and has been in the family for decades. We fondly refer to it as One Grand Place and we are excited to be sharing it with you. Our Premium RV site has a cement pad, parallel to the river. Can accommodate 1 RV up to 30' (NO Class A's allowed). 30/50/standard 110 electric and water hookup. Pump out is available for a fee. At the very far west end of the property is a large grassy area with 2 sites (1 RV or Tent and 1 Tent only) perpendicular to the river. Both have 30 and standard 110 electric and water. RV up to 30' (NO Class A's). Pump out is available for a fee. If you don't have an RV or a tent, no problem. Rent our elevated popup tent.  There is plenty of room to set up games, fish, play with the kids or the dogs, etc. What's not to like? It is your very own exclusive home away from home.   Property is adjacent to Connor Bayou County Park and surrounded by natural wetlands. So, we are a perfect place to unwind, chill, enjoy fresh air and picture perfect sunsets. Boating, swimming, jet skis, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing are just a few things to be enjoyed on the water. There's a public boat launch just a couple minute ride and Connor Bayou Park has a kayak specific boat launch. Or, you can also drop a kayak in at the very west end of our property right from shore. Hiking, biking and wildlife/bird/eagle watching are also options. Lake Michigan beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away. Holland is about 30 minutes south. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 25 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker, Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is 40 minutes North in Muskegon. Grand Rapids is 40 minutes to the East. There are also many wineries, distilleries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan as well as "you pick" blueberries and many festivals in the summer. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.

Site is out back on our property and sits between a rolling, lush hayfield and 4 acres of native wildflowers. Dark night skies for stargazing. No visible neighbors.

What a great little spot to camp for the weekend. I loved waking up and having a view of the river and the woods on the other side. Kat provided everything we needed, including a s'mores kit! Our site was far enough away from the other sites that we had privacy. This campsite was great for peace and quiet and space to get away with our little dog.

We had to have a place to make the s’mores the hosts so graciously provided!

Beautiful and peaceful! Such a treat to be the only camper. Nice trails that include a wooded area in addition to the bee sanctuary. Host Joe was great making sure we had what we needed and provided a map of the property so we were sure to find our way around. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful place to stay the weekend. Upon arrival i met Debbie and their sweet lab i believe was named Buster who showed me around the whole campground. Later on in the day i met her husband Larry. Both were just so friendly and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Its a very clean and peaceful campground that sits on a large lake perfect for fishing. One of the nicest camp grounds ive stayed at. We will 100% be back. Thank you Debbie and Larry for your kind hearted hospitality

This place has been on my wish list for quite some time and we finally got to check it out. I would give 6/5 stars if I could. This is an amazing site and I will treasure memories of waking up riverside for many years to come. We enjoyed the beautiful sites and also rented the kayaks. While you’re here, check out Niles Brewing Company just minutes away. We were also able to buy wood from a house just up the road. If you’re considering booking this place, do it!!

Excellent experience, remarkable hosts. We parked in a field and walked our gear a short ways to the "wilderness" tent sites -- this was definitely worth it as the sites were very private. The facilities were clean and the property was beautiful. These hosts have a wonderful campground.
