Stephens little cabin set up was just what my husband n I were looking for a spare of the moment night out. Bathroom and showers were definitely a plus! We look forward to staying here again in our future travels. :)

Weekend Trip to Lynx Run Wilderness Retreat

Very nice place to get away. I rented the 8 x 10 for myself for the weekend. Just the right size with microwave and small fridge. Wonderful woods with trails to walk. Nice covered porch and fire. There is one other cabin and several tent, trailer sites. But everything is spread out enough so you can enjoy some quiet time to yourself. Definitely recommend this place. Wonderful host.

Beautiful space to relax and reconnect with nature, yourself, and anyone else that comes along with you.

2 nights at Lynx Run Wilderness Retreat

Rob is a friendly host with an AMAZING property! The cabin and main house are both fabulously decorated with antiques and unique finds that Rob has curated from his travels around the world, as well as an awesome art collection that includes many of his own pieces. His property also includes a wonderful rustic trail through the woods that is perfect for a long walk. Afterwards, when renting the cabin, you can relax with the free-range chickens around your own private fire pit. We also enjoyed cooking at the cabin and having access to the main house kitchen for doing dishes. We HIGHLY recommend this property and will definitely return!

Beautiful area! Our dogs loved it :) we played a lot of fetch and got to walk some of the trails. The owner takes really good care of the lawn areas and trails! The lab came by to say hi and was super sweet. The bed isn’t super comfortable, but, hey, it’s camping! Great price for what you get! Don’t forget to bring your own sleeping bags and pillows! We were in the car about to leave when I remembered, lol. Would definitely stay again!

3 nights at Life Adventures

Love the rustic feel going out finding our own wood. Like was very welcoming and enjoyed his company throughout the night and day.

I stayed in S cabin (8x10). Very basic with futon, microwave, small fridge, electricity. Great covered porch. Make sure to bring a fitted sheet and bedding. Facilities are about 100 meters away. They could use a nice cleaning, but does the job. Beautiful trails and plenty of wood.

Great little cabin. Wonderful place to escape. The trails were well marked. The bathrooms clean and the host accommodating.

Weekend Trip to Muskegon Pines-Lake Cabin

Was a super cute spot, would definitely come back!

We loved the cabin and its ambiance. Everything we needed was provided. The view from the back, the ledge patio for coffee. The convenience of how close to Newaygo town it was. A great place to go and stay for those who like to hike, bike, fish, and or be outside!

Was the perfect place to relax and unwind! If you love nature in it's truest form this is the place had Luke as a companion for a couple nights great guest dog ....even waited for my wife outside of the restroom and walked her back to camp. Cabin was clean and cozy just used it for sleeping which was great not having to put up a tent and deal with the rainy nights. Stephen was a great host came by by respectfully to see if we needed anything and ask how our stay was going.

Rob's retreat was a magical wilderness wonderland. There was so much to enjoy, from trails to the fascinating library to themed gardens. It was a real off-the-grid treat! Be prepared for no water or electricity, and time to unplug. This place is for those who prefer to connect, enjoy unique experiences, and don't mind a rustic stay. Rob is a wonderful host and a fascinating human being. Be prepared to sleep soundly and be awoken by the rooster's crow! So much to discover!

Nice place to stay overnight. Very chill. Luke (the owner's dog?) is also very friendly. Nice experience.

Great place, especially for the price. Well maintained, pretty clean. Bathrooms and showers available. Firewood is $5 for a bundle. The dog came to check on us, such a friendly fellow. Will come back.
