At that time, it was known as Coleman’s Paradise Resort. There was a For Sale sign marking the property. We both knew at that point our fate was sealed to become this property’s new owners. We learned that this property had been a family vacation destination for nearly 100 years. We could only imagine the special memories that had been made here over the years! We wanted to become a part of that deep history. Through the many years of the resort’s history, the owners had changed and the cabins were showing true signs of their age. We knew there was A LOT of work that simply had to be done. On a wing and prayer, we somehow made this great resort ours. In April of 2017, we opened what we named Superior Times Resort and Campground. We pulled up or sleeves and went to work! We tap our trees for maple syrup in the spring-you will drive by our "sugar shack" and raise chickens in our very nice coop -no roosters to awaken you! There is guest internet but its patchy in camping area-better closer to the house and large firepit area There is a charcoal grill near communal firepit area. We are near 2 river basins(McClure Basin and Dead River Basin) for fishing, swimming and boating ( kayaks and canoe for rent on this site-see extras! ) We are on the route of the Ore to Shore Mountain Bike epic and not far from the North Country Trail. We have options of open sites and a couple more private wooded sites. There are at least two areas for small campers and several choices for tents and/or hammocks.. There is a communal/central fire pit, picnic table area as well as a larger fire pit with picnic table closer to house. We have nice fire wood available on site -see "extras" or for purchase when you get here! There are yard games, extra chairs and a small table in the red shed. This can also be used as a storm shelter if needed! There is a "port-a-john" on site- extra TP is kept in red shed hanging on nail in a bag. Please let us know if this needs attention.

Norm's Log Cabin started out as a back 40 acre camp from the 1970's. Hunting is not Allowed on Property. Over the years we have taken time to make some improvements. We have acquire additional adjoining property and run some electricity. We have pieced together 160 contiguous acres over the years, and continue to manage the property as a family gathering location as well as doing some occasional log harvesting. This is the place to get away from it all, but still be in striking distance to several attractions. A full service restaurant in La Branch which is a short 12 minute drive SE, and a local hang out called the Red Arrow which is a 5 minute drive NW. The Cabin sits at the end of a long 1/4 mile driveway in the middle of the 160 acre plot of trees. You need to cross Anderson Creek, and drive past another hunting camp near the front entrance. This front 40 acre camp (Anderson Creek Camp) is another more rustic option then Norm's Log Cabin. The road leading to this driveway off of Highway 69 is near the village of Hardwood. Along Highway 69 is a snowmobile/ORV trail managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and can be easily reached via the gravel road to/from camp. That specific trail is designated as A, and runs the length of Highway 69 and intersects ORV trail AG which would bring you into Escanaba. There is many and frequent ORV activity on this trail, and there are many stopping points for refreshments along the way. Hardwood Impoundment Pond is the closest body of water to Norm's Log Cabin, and can be reached by car or ATV. This impoundment pond is really the back waters of a local dam in the area, and can be fished from the bank or off the bridge that goes across the area. Very easily reachable. Again this is just a place to get away from it all and take in the outdoors. We can supply some ideas of places to visit . . .

On the front side of the house there is a large mostly covered patio with an outdoor table, chairs, and a charcoal grill. There are so many spaces to gather with friends and family yet still have privacy when you need it. Guests have the entire home to themselves. We do have neighbors so please be mindful of noise and do not wander onto their property. It has a lake view but no lake access from the property.

There’s plenty of room to park trucks and trailers for bringing your toys up. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore begins in Munising, which is only about 5 miles east of the home. Our home was recently gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. We opened up the living room/kitchen area and added a bathroom and brought the washer and dryer up to the main level. There’s a brand new 65” Roku TV in the living room and we have fiber optic wireless internet. We also added a tankless hot water heater so everybody gets a hot shower! We supply a crock pot, blender, drip coffee maker, and all the necessities to cook a meal at home. There’s a nice, large foyer with a bench and a shelf with hooks with plenty of room to store all your coats, bibs, helmets, boots, etc. -Separate rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations.

Our home is less than a mile from the casino in Christmas, Foggy’s Steakhouse, and a gas station. You are only about 5 miles from downtown Munising, where there are Pictured Rocks Cruises, Glass Bottom Boat Tours, Sand Point Beach, waterfalls, etc. In Munising, there is a grocery store (Pat’s Foods), Family Dollar, a couple of hardware stores, and numerous restaurants. There is room to bring a boat if you have one and there is public access to Lake Superior within 5 miles of home. There is also room to bring snowmobile/ATV trailers, and then you can ride from the home to hit the trails. **Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. The primary guest will need to upload a picture of a government-issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group. **There are 2 exterior audio/video recording devices on the property. One faces the front door of the home with the driveway, and the other faces the back door. They are motion-activated and on 24/7/365. The space During the summer, our cottage goes from Saturday to Saturday (not required to stay all 7-days). We are adding central air conditioning to the home for the summer of 2021. The second bedroom here is a little odd. It used to be a jacuzzi tub room. The jacuzzi tub was removed, and now there is a bed in there. The room still has a toilet and sink in it. We have added a curtain to block the toilet view from the bed. While it is unusual, we think it is worth keeping to have an extra lavatory for larger groups. The home has a beautiful view (especially for evening sunsets!) overlooking Furnace Lake and is very quiet and peaceful. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do :) Up to 2 dogs are allowed with preapproval, but there is a $75 non-refundable pet fee that will need to be added. Guest access Guests have full access to the home, garage, red outbuilding next to the garage, and yard. The red outbuilding near the road is not available to guests.

Norm's Log Cabin started out as a back 40 acre camp from the 1970's. Hunting is not Allowed on Property. Over the years we have taken time to make some improvements. We have acquire additional adjoining property and run some electricity. We have pieced together 160 contiguous acres over the years, and continue to manage the property as a family gathering location as well as doing some occasional log harvesting. This is the place to get away from it all, but still be in striking distance to several attractions. A full service restaurant in La Branch which is a short 12 minute drive SE, and a local hang out called the Red Arrow which is a 5 minute drive NW. The Cabin sits at the end of a long 1/4 mile driveway in the middle of the 160 acre plot of trees. You need to cross Anderson Creek, and drive past another hunting camp near the front entrance. This front 40 acre camp (Anderson Creek Camp) is another more rustic option then Norm's Log Cabin. The road leading to this driveway off of Highway 69 is near the village of Hardwood. Along Highway 69 is a snowmobile/ORV trail managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and can be easily reached via the gravel road to/from camp. That specific trail is designated as A, and runs the length of Highway 69 and intersects ORV trail AG which would bring you into Escanaba. There is many and frequent ORV activity on this trail, and there are many stopping points for refreshments along the way. Hardwood Impoundment Pond is the closest body of water to Norm's Log Cabin, and can be reached by car or ATV. This impoundment pond is really the back waters of a local dam in the area, and can be fished from the bank or off the bridge that goes across the area. Very easily reachable. Again this is just a place to get away from it all and take in the outdoors. We can supply some ideas of places to visit . . .

Rustic U.P. Retreat in Marquette

Cozy log cabin in the woods just 15 minutes from downtown Marquette. Peaceful area yet close enough to go enjoy shops, restaurants and beaches. Great view of Lake Kawbawgam from the patio, there is NO LAKE ACCESS from this property. 40 minute drive to Pictured Rocks. Fire pit in the backyard and a fireplace in the living room available for use. Lower level has a bar with TV and game room with a ping pong table and dart board. Perfect space for families and great for snowmobilers. The kitchen, both living rooms, 3 bedrooms, and a full bathroom are all on the main level. The upstairs loft bedroom has 1 king bed, a moveable wall divider for some privacy, a full bathroom, and a small sitting area. The full bathroom has a large soaking tub, rain head shower, and bidet. The basement has 1 bedroom with a king-size bed, a full bathroom, laundry, a ping-pong table, foosball table, dart board, bar area with a kitchenette, a second fridge with freezer, and a walk out to the fire pit. On the front side of the house there is a large mostly covered patio with an outdoor table, chairs, and a charcoal grill. There are so many spaces to gather with friends and family yet still have privacy when you need it. Guests have the entire home to themselves. We do have neighbors so please be mindful of noise and do not wander onto their property. It has a lake view but no lake access from the property.

Rudolph’s Cabin in Christmas Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Rudolph’s Cabin! This recently remodeled home offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king log bed and private master bath with tub/shower and a double sink. The second bedroom can either be 2 separate twin XL beds or we can make it into a king bed for you. This home has a nice entry way with plenty of room to store your gear. We are conveniently located right on M28, about 1/4 mile west of Foggy’s Steakhouse and next to the entrance of Pictured Rocks RV & Campground. You can ride right from the home to miles and miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the winter or ORV trails in the summer. There’s plenty of room to park trucks and trailers for bringing your toys up. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore begins in Munising, which is only about 5 miles east of the home. Our home was recently gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. We opened up the living room/kitchen area and added a bathroom and brought the washer and dryer up to the main level. There’s a brand new 65” Roku TV in the living room and we have fiber optic wireless internet. We also added a tankless hot water heater so everybody gets a hot shower! We supply a crock pot, blender, drip coffee maker, and all the necessities to cook a meal at home. There’s a nice, large foyer with a bench and a shelf with hooks with plenty of room to store all your coats, bibs, helmets, boots, etc. -Separate rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations.

Bedroom 1 has queen bed with a sliding barn door, bedroom 2 also has a queen bed with sliding barn door. This home has a beautiful view overlooking Furnace Lake but does not have lake access. This home was recently built in 2023/2024 from a couple tiny homes that we combined and added on to. Since we are located in Christmas, it is decorated all year with snowmen :) You’ll love the serenity and the privacy of this home, yet how close you are to area attractions such as Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island, waterfalls, hiking trails, beaches, etc. It has a beautiful view overlooking Furnace Lake. You are less than a mile from state snowmobile and ATV trails. We are dog-friendly and allow up to 2 dogs with preapproval and $75 non-refundable pet fee. You have full exclusive access to home and yard. Unfortunately, there is no lake access with the home, but it does have a great view of the lake. We are available by text, through booking message center or phone if you have any questions before or during your stay. Our home is less than a mile from the casino in Christmas, Foggy’s Steakhouse, and a gas station. You are only about 5 miles from downtown Munising, where there are Pictured Rocks Cruises, Glass Bottom Boat Tours, Sand Point Beach, waterfalls, etc. In Munising, there is a grocery store (Pat’s Foods), Family Dollar, a couple of hardware stores, and numerous restaurants. There is room to bring a boat if you have one and there is public access to Lake Superior within 5 miles of home. There is also room to bring snowmobile/ATV trailers, and then you can ride from the home to hit the trails. **Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. The primary guest will need to upload a picture of a government-issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group. **There are 2 exterior audio/video recording devices on the property. One faces the front door of the home with the driveway, and the other faces the back door. They are motion-activated and on 24/7/365. Guests have full access to the home other than the locked maid closet in living room.

It is conveniently located right off M28 in Christmas, less than 5 miles from downtown Munising, the beginning of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. There are 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Our cottage offers 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 2 full beds. Come up to enjoy Pictured Rocks & numerous waterfalls in the area. Only 2 blocks from Christmas ORV/snowmobile trailhead. The space During the summer, our cottage goes from Saturday to Saturday (not required to stay all 7-days). We are adding central air conditioning to the home for the summer of 2021. The second bedroom here is a little odd. It used to be a jacuzzi tub room. The jacuzzi tub was removed, and now there is a bed in there. The room still has a toilet and sink in it. We have added a curtain to block the toilet view from the bed. While it is unusual, we think it is worth keeping to have an extra lavatory for larger groups. The home has a beautiful view (especially for evening sunsets!) overlooking Furnace Lake and is very quiet and peaceful. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do :) Up to 2 dogs are allowed with preapproval, but there is a $75 non-refundable pet fee that will need to be added. Guest access Guests have full access to the home, garage, red outbuilding next to the garage, and yard. The red outbuilding near the road is not available to guests.

RV was clean and very well stocked on the inside. Interior looked brand new, and the campsite overlooked a pretty meadow surrounded by trees. Cute S'Mores bucket inside with everything you'd need. Convenient location, was able to do an evening hike to Mosquito Beach from this location. Why stay in a campground and spend thousands of dollars on your own RV when you can just stay here! Highly recommend Captain Ron's for fresh, hand-processed whitefish. Thanks Danielle!

Wow, what an awesome property! Joy and Brian are great hosts and the thought and care they’ve taken in Northern Oasis is evident. My two nights exceeded my expectations! I was the only one there and it’s so incredibly peaceful I slept better than I may ever have in my truck camper. The porta potty was the cleanest and freshest I’ve seen anywhere too! Pick your spot - they’re all awesome! I’ll certainly be back!

This place is incredible! Secluded in a grove of maples. Level spots for tent, trailer or campervan. Awesome fire ring! Outhouse is the nicest I've ever used (I'm a rural kind of guy, so I've used a lot). But a warning - click on directions tab, don't use address in Google maps. We got misdirected about 15 mins away.

Beautiful spot, amongst tall maple trees, close to Marquette. Plenty of room between camp sites and the best/cutest outhouse we've ever incountered. Joy and Brian were amazing hosts. They'vc put a lot of time and effort into making sure their guests have everything they might need. Brian even put out some cedar shakes to help us start our fire This was our 1st Hip Camp experience and we will definitely come back!
