Norm's Log Cabin started out as a back 40 acre camp from the 1970's.
Hunting is not Allowed on Property.
Over the years we have taken time to make some improvements. We have acquire additional adjoining property and run some electricity. We have pieced together 160 contiguous acres over the years, and continue to manage the property as a family gathering location as well as doing some occasional log harvesting. This is the place to get away from it all, but still be in striking distance to several attractions. A full service restaurant in La Branch which is a short 12 minute drive SE, and a local hang out called the Red Arrow which is a 5 minute drive NW. The Cabin sits at the end of a long 1/4 mile driveway in the middle of the 160 acre plot of trees. You need to cross Anderson Creek, and drive past another hunting camp near the front entrance. This front 40 acre camp (Anderson Creek Camp) is another more rustic option then Norm's Log Cabin. The road leading to this driveway off of Highway 69 is near the village of Hardwood. Along Highway 69 is a snowmobile/ORV trail managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and can be easily reached via the gravel road to/from camp. That specific trail is designated as A, and runs the length of Highway 69 and intersects ORV trail AG which would bring you into Escanaba. There is many and frequent ORV activity on this trail, and there are many stopping points for refreshments along the way.
Hardwood Impoundment Pond is the closest body of water to Norm's Log Cabin, and can be reached by car or ATV. This impoundment pond is really the back waters of a local dam in the area, and can be fished from the bank or off the bridge that goes across the area. Very easily reachable.
Again this is just a place to get away from it all and take in the outdoors.

7 nights at Lost Lithuanians Camp
Beautiful secluded area. We saw and heard deer and bear driving in and during our stay. Cabin was roomy with a divider wall and two sleeping areas. Full kitchen well supplied. Large bathroom with shower. Nice firepit area. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Highly recommend.

A true Explorers' Hub - at booking kinda worried Norm's Cabin was the middle of nowhere but the more we scratched the surface the more we realized it was actually in the middle of everything (the giant sleeper being Piers Gorge in Norway - a MUST see!)

Weekend Trip to Lost Lithuanians Camp
We had such a peaceful stay at this cabin in the UP! The setting was incredibly quiet and relaxing—perfect for unwinding. We were pleasantly surprised by how strong and reliable the WiFi was, which made it easy to stay connected when needed. Having a hot shower after a day of exploring was such a nice bonus. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect in nature without giving up comfort!

Weekend Trip to Lost Lithuanians Camp
My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway and Michael’s cabin delivered a quintessential cabin-in-the-woods experience! It was way bigger than we had expected, with plenty of room for a family/large group, or ample space for a couple looking to relax. When we wanted to unplug, the extensive trails that Michael has created made for an enjoyable walk in the woods. My wife and I both commented how peaceful it was not hearing any cars or airplanes overhead - truly magical! When we wanted our creature comforts, there was a TV with multiple streaming services, an oven and microwave for making meals, and WiFi that was powerful enough to stream a live soccer event in Europe (seriously!).
We spent our drive home talking about the next time we’d be back! Can’t recommend this place enough!
