Beautiful spot on Lake Milakokia (1,956 acres) featuring walleye, perch, pike, and suckers with the most amazing sunrises as well as sunsets. Tahquamenon Falls, Kitchitikipi, Pictured Rocks Lakeshore, and the Mackinac Bridge all within an hours drive. Very quiet property. Pets welcomed but must be on a leash and attended at all times. Bars, restaurants, and dispensaries near by. Please note: This is not a campground. There are not designated sites. There are 4 areas on the property to camp. Two are within two feet from the beach, while the remaining two are about 50’ from the beach but have full views of the lake. We have approximately 400’ of lake frontage. These sites are in my yard. Located in Christmas, which is less than 5 miles west of Munising, the beginning of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We have one campsite with an RV on it that we rent out and then we have a campsite right next to our camper than you can bring your own RV to. We have a hose for water and offer a 30A or 50A electric hook up for your camper at our campsite. Our camper can sleep up to 3 people and we are dog friendly for one dog up to 50lbs. Our camper is a one bedroom with a queen bed and then a twin futon in the living area for an additional guest.

Totally isolated 5 acres in the woods. Extremely quiet and peaceful, surrounded only by nature.  Fire pit available, very rustic outhouse. Nestled in hemlocks and other conifers. Beautiful in summer and autumn. This location is just outside of Marquette county. Lake Superior is just a few minutes away. The camping area is truly for the  hardy soul and nature lover.  I will supply plenty of information about the area and things to do. Just message me if you have any questions. The camping site does not have an address. I will meet campers in the village of 'Deerton' which is only a few minutes from the camping area. You must arrive by 7:00 PM due to the location! I would like to add that June can be a bad month for bugs depending on the weather so I offer the JUNE SPECIAL: FREE FIREWOOD! Late summer and fall are beautiful times to camp in the UP. RV was clean and very well stocked on the inside. Interior looked brand new, and the campsite overlooked a pretty meadow surrounded by trees. Cute S'Mores bucket inside with everything you'd need. Convenient location, was able to do an evening hike to Mosquito Beach from this location. Why stay in a campground and spend thousands of dollars on your own RV when you can just stay here! Highly recommend Captain Ron's for fresh, hand-processed whitefish. Thanks Danielle!

If you have a trailer or stay in the cabins you will have a great time! The sites are very exposed for tent campers and the jake brakes from the nearby highway can be bothersome at night. The property and bath houses are top notch and the staff at the store are friendly and helpful.

4 nights at Wilderness Haven near Marquette Mi

Campsite was very remote, and the hosts are more than gracious with what they offer during your stay. Quick response time with clear communication and directions before arriving to site. Access to shelter, firewood, outhouse, table with seating, a bench and lounge chairs for around the fire, space to hang hammocks, even a tree swing! Our visit was early fall, and we found a TON of different mushrooms, a fungi lovers haven. The woods were quiet at night, occasional owls and a distant pack of coyotes. There is occasional road noise, but very minimal, so we slept great at night!

Weekend Trip to Wilderness Haven near Marquette Mi

We were looking for nature seclusion in the UP and we got that with so many amenities. The space is dreamy, user friendly, quiet, very well shaded, and close to whatever you'd need with a drive. It was the detox from electronics I was hoping for with no service, and with more space to explore the micro worlds of mother earth two feet from the car. Moss covered rocks, mushrooms in every color, beautiful tree bark variety. Minimal bugs with very few mosquitoes (labor day weekend '25). Judy was an incredible host and very thoughtful. We'd love to come back in the coming years

Full services, clean, nice and spacious campsite suitable for large motorized RV and camping trailers. The property's owner was there to welcome us on the site. About 7 miles west from Munising. I would definitely recommend the Hipcamp campsite and I will likely book this site again next summer.

I camped site #7 with a17ft travel trailer. The bathhouse was directly across the lot. They have industrial outdoor kitchen sink, definitely dog friendly with poop bags.Not to mention Benny the beard fisher is amazing to see everyday.! Check out the troll tour:) let me tell you the hosts are AMAZING. Super helpful!! This is a canoe livery also, so plenty to do. I will be back!!! They take care of you 100% :) 10/10.
