This fun property is just under 7 acres - butted up to another 12 acres of public land (and boat launch) with trails, boardwalk and a dock on 51 acre Lake Eleven. The property is shared by (2) full-hook up RV sites and a cabin. If available, the cabin and sites may be rented together however the owners, Jim and Maria, use the cabin much of the summer leaving just the RV sites available. The property is at mile market 13 of the Kal-Haven Trail - the midpoint. The Kal-Haven Trail is a biking, cross-country skiing, walking, running, snowmobiling - you name it, the trail that goes 34 miles from Kalamazoo to South Haven. Literally steps from the property and you are on the trail. But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam. Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic. The dock may have availability for keeping you boat - please inquire. There are kayaks and some bikes (mostly teen and adult size) that may be used. These are shared amenities for the cabin and campsite guests and offered on a first come, first serve basis. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and the lake. 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo. And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, which is where three of our camp sites, Hammock Haven are located. Each site has a fire ring & picnic table. Three camp sites are located in the pasture. One is at the bottom of the pasture (1) and quite open. It can accommodate larger groups with multiple tents. It can also take a larger RV. A more secluded site (5) is half open and half in light woods., and is located at the top of the pasture. The others are in the middle of the pasture, 2 for sun lovers and 3 for those who prefer more shade. For those who prefer more seclusion, we have cleared three sites in the woods. All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table. Some have fire wood boxes (we’re working on making a box for all sites). We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water. This is free. A coffee bar is on the back deck. Coffee is brewing around 7am. We also provide hot water, teas, hot chocolate and cider. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack. This is all free, though small donations are welcomed. Our goats, poultry, pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs and produce take up about an acre and a half. Then the rest is open space. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. Please try to plan to check-in by 9pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

This was our first time using Hipcamp and it was a great experience. Place looks just like the pictures, beautiful and cozy. Far away from town to feel like you've gotten away but close enough that you can run and grab something at walmart or get a bite to eat if you don't feel like cooking. Scott was a great host, we were having a hard time getting our fire going since it had been raining a few days before. He came to our rescue and we sat and enjoyed chatting for the evening. Inside the camper was a cute little smore set up that we took advantage of. It was clean and spacious. You could tell it's been taken great care of. Will definitely be back!

We had an absolute blast! Scott and Christine were extremely accommodating hosts. The camper was stocked and clean, the campsite was well lit and so nice and quiet. We saw deer and turkey in the mornings, sipping coffee by the fire. They have all the tools and utensils you may need for cooking either in the kitchen or on the fire. 10/10 would recommend and will be returning. Thank you!

I don't know where to begin? The place was beautiful upon entry! Beautiful cats to play with everywhere! My son was in heaven :-) we made great friends with a black kitty named Olivia. She hung out with us while we were camping and even shared some of our breakfast eggs! The pathways were lit at night, the TP that we stayed in was and beautiful condition, clean, well stocked with cleaning supplies and a trash can if needed. We had a bundle of wood that was plentiful! The staff was extremely helpful getting me to my site and making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed! There are vegetables for sale, as well as delicious salsa! The property is extremely well kept and beautiful to look at! Very serene. We had our own fire pit and picnic table also. The campsites were very private, which I really liked. I was very happy that I did not have to share a fire pit with other campers. This was a last-minute trip for my son's 11th birthday and well worth the drive from detroit! We will definitely be back with the rest of the family! I highly recommend two chicks and a farm!

As part of the Scooter and Boys in Scouting America program, I’ve had my fair share of camping trips, but this one was off the charts! 🌟 Imagine staying in a cozy tipi nestled in the woods, surrounded by a vibrant cast of friends—yes, I’m talking about farm animals! We had encounters with raccoons, cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats, pigs, and so much more. Each moment was filled with adventure and laughter! And let’s not forget the perks: coffee available 24/7, impeccably maintained toilets, and hot showers to rejuvenate after a day of fun. It’s truly a hidden gem that I can’t recommend enough! Scott and Christine are very friendly and welcoming. They made sure we were all settled in and even helped us back in the pop-up camper to the extra campsite. So honored to be the first group to use the extra site! My group included 7 adults and 1 dog. We had a great time relaxing, playing games, and making some amazing food over the fire! The campsites felt very private and perfect for camping. The weekend we stayed was hot and humid, but the AC in the camper felt amazing. The camper was spacious and had just about everything you need. There’s a nice trail that was perfect for walking the dog. Thank you Scott and Christine for being amazing hosts and we loved getting to know you! We would love to stay again!

The hosts do an excellent job of providing lots of kayaks and canoes and pedalboats for on the lake And on land there’s bikes (property is literally adjacent to the bike path), disc golf, firepits, everything you need to have an extremely chill and memorable experience The hosts are SUPER helpful and any time I needed anything went WAY above and beyond and are just the nicest coolest people I absolutely loved the full hookup service for my RV especially since it’s not like those crowded rv campgrounds - you have plenty of space to yourself and when you enjoy the lake there aren’t tons of people everywhere you’ll pretty much have it to yourself

Weekend Trip to Airstream at Red Horse - Fennville

Fred and Ulla are amazing hosts! The airstream was cozy, clean, and situated on a beautiful farm. Running water and AC were a plus esp. during the heatwave! We watched their magnificent horses graze as we sipped our morning coffee. We met playful dogs Rosy and Jasper and sweet cat Luna. We were looking for a place to stay and found much more! Fred and Ulla are doing essential work focused on mental health, well-being, self-development, along with their family of horses and dogs, on their tranquil 20 acre farm. They were so warm and generous with their time and just cool people all around! Such a relaxing weekend. Thank you. Will visit again!

2 nights at Hostel SoHa

Great place! Nadia, the owner, lives onsite and is both friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the safari tents, but the indoor sleeping pods looked really well done and comfy as well. It was a great option to have a tent all set up with beds and linens - the tent was comfortable and roomy for 2 people. Facilities are high quality and in great shape. Big, new kitchen. Lounge area with video game console. The game/activity center is an old church with ping pong and pool table where the pews used to be. Great sunken fire pit being built - functional and we sat by the communal fire both nights we were there, but it is going to get even prettier and nicer as they finish it. People were friendly but respectful. Great laundry facilities and really nice showers as well. Also right on the edge of town - easy bike ride or drive, and you could certainly walk it if you wanted to. Being so close to town does mean there is road noise all night, but not from a big highway, just the local road and I popped in some ear plugs and slept like a log. Besides the permanent tents, there is also a very large yard for personal tents and sounds like they are clearing more secluded sites further back in the woods. Highly recommend!

Amazing hosts and property. Everything was well taken care of and clean. The hosts are very thoughtful and my time with my son will be a treasured memory.We stopped for lodging on the way to Saugatak State Park. We enjoyed their add-on breakfast that was well worth the spend.
