Learn more about this land: If you truly like wilderness camping deep in the UP of Michigan this is the perfect spot for you. Just 20 minutes from Marquette, and 20 minutes to Munising. This is the perfect home base to explore Munising or Marquette. Totally isolated 5 acres in the woods. Extremely quiet and peaceful, surrounded only by nature. Fire pit available, very rustic outhouse. Nestled in hemlocks and other conifers. Beautiful in summer and autumn. This location is just outside of Marquette county. Lake Superior is just a few minutes away. The camping area is truly for the hardy soul and nature lover. I will supply plenty of information about the area and things to do. Just message me if you have any questions. The camping site does not have an address. I will meet campers in the village of 'Deerton' which is only a few minutes from the camping area. You must arrive by 7:00 PM due to the location! I would like to add that June can be a bad month for bugs depending on the weather. Late summer and fall are beautiful times to camp in the UP.
