"Elysium Heritage Farm" is situated on 120 acres in Northeast, MI surrounded by woods, trails, ponds and canals. It's only a ten-minute drive to Pinconning, where you can experience Michigan's "Cheese Town" and all it has to offer. There's a grocery store, numerous cheese shops, and a variety of party stores and restaurants. For the outdoor enthusiasts, don't miss out on going to the ever-famous "Northwoods Wholesale Outlet". Also nearby is the "Saganing Eagles Landing Casino" in Standish. We have resided here for over 30 years and can assist you in many ways to get the most out of your visit. Arrowhead Lake Camp was an old Boy Scout Reservation. The 630 Acre campground holds multiple cabins, lodges, tent sites and event locations. The Lake is great for swimming, fishing and relaxing at the beach. All Cabins are close to the lake and fire pits are located near each cabin and tent site. Welcome to off-grid living! Nestled at the back of our family's year-round property, this cabin offers a tranquil escape to unplug and unwind. While our house is close by, we are committed to respecting your privacy and maintaining a peaceful environment. *Access to the cabin involves a 1/4 mile hike on a mowed path through the meadow.* Absolutely no motor vehicles are allowed on the path. The path is marked by solar lights at night. A 4-wheeled cart is provided to effortlessly get your belongings back and forth. PRIMITIVE EXPERIENCE Enjoy a rustic, off-grid Northern Michigan camping experience, all in the comfort of a tastefully decorated cabin. This cabin DOES NOT have electricity, running water, or traditional plumbing. OUTSIDE This 640SF cabin boasts two porches. The front porch overlooks the meadow and is perfect for sunsets and coffee. This porch includes a hand pump for fresh water in the warm months. The back porch faces the woods and is a great place to cook on the propane grill while enjoying a bonfire. KITCHEN The kitchen is conveniently located off the back porch and is stocked with essentials to prep your meals, and boasts a dry sink with a 5 gallon water dispenser for washing dishes and washing up. We do NOT stock food essentials or keep food in the cabin; please bring your own, along with a cooler. The table has ample seating for enjoying meals, cards, and board games. One-of-a-kind animal mounts and rustic decorations adorn the whole downstairs. LIVING ROOM The living room is perfectly situated at the front of the cabin, overlooking the meadow. The propane fireplace will warm the entire cabin- even the loft! Sit on the leather couch and relax as you overlook the meadow. THE LOFT Head up the wood ladder to the open loft. You will find a cozy queen bed on one side, and 3 twin beds on the other. Bedding is included! The loft is a shared space, but does provide some privacy when the curtain divider is drawn. We've included a hand crank Victrola with records for those days when you miss Spotify. THE OUTHOUSE The outhouse is conveniently located several paces away from the cabin and bonfire. It has a locking door with window and curtain for privacy. A bucket of wood shavings is provided to cover your waste and keep the smell down.

Weekend Trip to Atwood Lodge

My stay at the Atwood Lodge was an absolute treat for the soul and senses. It provided me with a weekend of peace and beauty to cleanse my mind of the hustle and bustle of city living. My family and I particularly enjoyed the wonderfully manicured trails to walk and explore. We also loved wildlife 'hunting' with our eyes, spotting many deer, turkeys, and monarchs. The stars at night over the campfire on the hill were an absolute spectacle. The beds were clean and comfortable, providing great restful sleep for us all. The lodge interior was clean and cozy, complete with all the amenities one would need from home. My only regret is not walking all the trails this trip, guess I'll have to plan another stay 😉.

The cabin was great - situated over the pond we enjoyed watching wildlife and a massive thunderstorm from the porch. Kim was a wonderful host, even providing things we didn’t know we needed. We would definitely stay there again.
