We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves very much Tim the host was awesome and the goodie bag was especially awesome. My friend just loved it. We would definitely go again and we recommend it to anyone that really likes the outdoor and privacy there is trails to walk on in and if you forget something, there’s a little storage just down the road little pricey the guy is very friendly. Have a great time up there. We definitely looking to go again here shortly maybe before the end of his season ends.

Had the best time reconnecting with friends here and plan to come back next summer. The cabins were clean and the grass on the property was luscious and great for pitching our tent. Kind of close to neighbors but still private enough to not bother each other. We liked that it was close enough to a small trading post that had all the supplies and drinks we needed.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bunkhouse Among the Pines! Christine's cabin was a perfect place to rest after exploring the Traverse City area. The outhouse was clean and the outdoor shower was hot. We were very comfortable and enjoyed watching fireflies in the evening and birds in the morning. On our trip we went blueberry picking, cherry picking and hiking at Sleeping Bear Dunes. The location was perfect. Thank you Christine for being a wonderful host!

My family absolutely loved staying in the little cabin. Lots of room and the necessities are already provided, including warm running water. Christine was an excellent host, offering us an extra night after missing the first from car troubles during travel. Very grateful for her kindness and flexibility, as we had a hard time finding the correct spot for putting up the tent after a long few days of travel. She was more concerned about the slant than the fact we were in the wrong spot. Hoping to return in the future!

5 Stars – Perfect Remote Getaway, Especially for Dog Lovers! I had a fantastic stay at this cabin over the 4th of July weekend! I traveled with my three large dogs, and it couldn’t have been a better fit. The cabin is extremely dog-friendly, with a great setup that made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The porch was a definite highlight—perfectly set up for relaxing and taking in the peaceful, natural surroundings. Even during a busy holiday weekend, it was so quiet and secluded that we didn’t hear any other campers nearby. It truly felt like our own private retreat. The owner, Tim, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was quick to respond to any questions and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. As noted in the listing, the bathroom is a portable toilet with an outdoor sink, which worked just fine for our needs, especially considering how remote and rustic the cabin is. If you’re looking for a quiet, remote escape where your dogs are not only welcome but truly accommodated, this is the place. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Everything about Christine's place was exactly how it was stated. And she was so helpful with anything we might need. We ended up having to leave a day early but it wasn't due to Christine. We didn't know we had planned our trip on one of the hottest weekends in that area in years. Crazy hot. But we'd like to come back when its a little cooler! Thank you Christine!

The cabin is nice, just the right size! The porch is a nice touch which allows you to hangout & cook your food. The field you over look on the porch is really nice! We had our 3 big dogs with us (2 being 100+ pound bully’s & the other being about 60 pounds doodle) we had stakes with leads on them and it was the perfect area for us to have them. The cabin was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably! He keeps little trash bags to pick up after your pups if you forget bags. I would definitely recommend staying here! Tim is very nice & makes sure you have everything you may need. He was very helpful with any questions we had, and has recommendations if you are looking for something specific to do. The bed was very comfortable, we were worried as we have stayed in some air bnbs with some of the worst beds but his is so comfortable we were able to get right to sleep! The bathroom is a portable toilet with an outdoor sink, if anyone was curious. We had a great time & totally recommend, especially for those with dogs who need somewhere for them to be able to have some room!

Christine’s bunkhouse is perfectly located—just about 20 minutes from anything your heart desires in the Leelanau area, right in the middle of all the action. The bunkhouse and surrounding buildings were a great touch and made us feel right at home, with everything we needed. Cedar, MI is just down the road with a charming little downtown, a grocery/gas station, and an ice cream shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Weekend Trip to pineleaf.

My husband and our two kiddos (4 & 7) stayed for two nights in the cabin. It was so relaxing and felt like we were deep in the woods. Timothy was amazing from the start. I had asked if we could possibly check in early and he was okay with that. We ended up having car trouble on the way to the cabin and didn't check in until dinner time. He was so great about the whole thing and had even turned the heater on in the cabin before we arrived because it was a cool night. The cabin and bathroom were both clean. Timothy was lovely to chat with and was available by phone or in person at any time. He gave us a complimentary bundle of fire wood, a goodie bag, and three gallons of water. Pineleaf and Timothy are both wonderful and we plan to stay again in the future. A tranquil, quiet place to stay and a very accommodating host!

Tim was an exceptional host! The property is beautiful! The is no shortage of nature and tall leafy trees. No noisy traffic and no camping neighbors near each other. The cabin was equip with more than enough “oops I forgot my…” items. Pet friendly, clean, well taken care of well loved piece of serenity.

Weekend Trip to LTBB Rental Cabins

We enjoyed 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend, simple cabin set up - appreciated the bathroom and small kitchen area… (normally tent camp) Queen and twin bed in each cabin as well. The beach was wonderful for rock hunting, we saw a bald eagle swoop down while eating breakfast out there too! Close to the bridge - great starting point for a UP and/or Mackinac Island day trip!
