Each time of year brings its own unique beauty, from vibrant fall foliage to peaceful snow-covered landscapes. Wildlife roams freely, the views are stunning, and some of the most breathtaking sunsets reflect over our pond. Imagine waking up to a golden sky, birdsong in the air, the scent of woodsmoke, and a warm cup of coffee in hand—pure tranquility. We live full-time on the property and are always nearby to offer assistance, answer questions, or simply share a friendly chat. You’ll likely see us tending to our animals, working in the garden or greenhouse, or cruising around on our golf cart. We love meeting new people and take pride in providing top-notch hospitality. Pleasant - Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant - Isabella County Farmers Market, Mt. Pleasant - Great Lakes Loons at Dow Diamond, Midland - Dow Gardens, Midland - Whiting Forest (Nation's Longest Canopy Walk), Midland -Midland Area Farmers Market - 1 hour from beautiful Higgins Lake - 45 minutes from Bay City - Sanford Lake restoration estimated late 2024 Midland and Mt. Pleasant are each located about 20-25 mins from our property. Please note that the campsites are rustic. Porta-john, hose connect water and outdoor shower house are available to all guests. Campfire rings and picnic tables are located at each campsite. We also have firewood bundles for $5 each and fresh eggs for sale for $3/dozen. We accept cash, Venmo, and Cash App on-site.

Campsites are all riverfront along the Tobacco River. Country feel within blocks of town. Ross Lake/Beach, the remodeled Beaverton Tavern, park, an ice cream shop and splash park are all located within a long walk or short drive. We are close to Gladwin, Ross Lake, OHV trails and the Juicy Bone. The river flows into Wixom Lake which is anticipated to be back in 2025. Sandy beach with river access . You can access the river from our canoe portage on the property. Good fishing, swimming or just hanging out. You can also canoe, kayak or tube beautiful Tobacco River or sandy Cedar River. Picnic tables and fire pits are located throughout the property. Good music, games, sing a longs. Hike through the trails to get to the the enchanted cedar forest which is all located in the campground. We have an outdoor 250 inch screen where we project movies, concerts, games, interactive dance videos. For kids and adults, everyone leaves with a smile.

This home was built by my grandparents back in the 40’s he was a military man she was a homemaker! We lived around the kitchen with smoked fish and freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies! At one time my uncles horse lived here and many of my grandfathers chicken! This home and land has lots of love surrounding it! There are many blueberry farms and amazing fishing spots! I can hand out brochures when you arrive. I also have a relationship with a local fishing charter if you would like to do a fish and fry!Learn more about this land:Woods and moss with a pond. We offer camping (must bring tents) on the property. It’s optional bathrooms and showers, grill chairs and table. We are a mile from the beach and we can drop you at the canoe rental in town. You can choose to only camp or to camp and use toilet and shower with code access. . We offer s’more sets for 2 people package in garage in refrigerator if wanted. We also have in town canoeing local and beach side fire pits along Lake Huron. We’re close to Lumberman monument which is a beautiful place to hike and see the fall colors. We’re also not a far drive from the Mackinac Bridge. You can engage in water, beaches, canoeing or just sit by the bonfire and eat s’mores! The property is 5 acres with a home located on site and someone will be available if needed. We do have dense pines with bugs so bring bug spray!

Learn more about this land: Camp at our country horse and hobby farm setting in beautiful Hale, Michigan, the "Land of 60 Lakes", with some offering fishing, swimming, boating. Located on the border of Ogemaw and Iosco Counties between West Branch and Lake Huron's Tawas Bay, we are near the Huron National Forest, the Rifle River and the mighty AuSable River for miles of canoeing, tubing, fishing, orv trail heads, hunting, skiing, etc. Plus, there are always many local seasonal events to attend. Our large campsites include fire ring or pit, public grill, limited electric, potable water sources, wifi, portable toilet. RVs, trailers and tents are all welcome. Our humble farm includes critters like horses, ponies, mini goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and more to interact with right here on our ranch. Everyone gets a farm critter petting experience, pony rides for kids can be arranged!  This is also the place to be if you want to bring your own horses, we have a 50x150 indoor arena and 10x12 box stalls with private paddocks available! Guided trail rides at Rollways may also be arranged. If you want breakfast, sack or picnic lunch, family-style bbq dinner or whatever, we can provide that as well when requested in advance.
