Weekend Trip to Tucked - Away Cabin

Tucked Away Cabin is my favorite hipcamp spot so far! I’ve been to quite a few sites in the Midwest and this one stood out from the rest! The cabin is truly a gem, hand built by the family, and tucked way back on their property. You can feel the love there! The host family has over 40 acres, if I remember correctly, and there are walking trails all throughout the property. Cathy and her husband are very welcoming and kind and are there if you need anything at all, but you’re so tucked back in the woods that you feel totally secluded and at peace. We felt so relaxed here hearing the sounds of nature, seeing deer, butterflies, cardinals, a blue jay, dragonflys, and even a blue herring overhead and I really enjoyed exploring the property! Cathy is the sweetest and was very accommodating to us and she stocks the cabin very well! Thankfully, I was over prepared but if you are not very experienced in camping or are looking for a private weekend away this is the perfect spot to go! Everything you need is provided from plates to fire starters to Tonka irons! 15/10 I absolutely love this spot and highly recommend it! Stop reading and book!!! You’ll have the best time and go home feeling so grounded and at peace!

2 nights at Life Adventures

Was the perfect place to relax and unwind! If you love nature in it's truest form this is the place had Luke as a companion for a couple nights great guest dog ....even waited for my wife outside of the restroom and walked her back to camp. Cabin was clean and cozy just used it for sleeping which was great not having to put up a tent and deal with the rainy nights. Stephen was a great host came by by respectfully to see if we needed anything and ask how our stay was going.

Weekend Trip to The Crow’s Nest

From the moment we pulled in the drive until we left for home…Crows Nest was a perfect escape! Sheila and Jeff have thought of everything to create an oasis for you to enjoy! The trail around the property was a perfect morning stroll. The cabin is clean and comfortable. No musty or earthy smells at all! They have TWO full binders of activities and suggestions. They are incredibly thoughtful hosts with an adorable camp store. We can’t wait to come back again!

Rob's retreat was a magical wilderness wonderland. There was so much to enjoy, from trails to the fascinating library to themed gardens. It was a real off-the-grid treat! Be prepared for no water or electricity, and time to unplug. This place is for those who prefer to connect, enjoy unique experiences, and don't mind a rustic stay. Rob is a wonderful host and a fascinating human being. Be prepared to sleep soundly and be awoken by the rooster's crow! So much to discover!

Weekend Trip to Tucked - Away Cabin

The cabin is located at the deeper parts of Cathy's property in the woods and it provides a very isolated feeling from everything else. It is very clean and everything is very nicely considered to provide comfort (fire pit filled with wood, kitchen with necessary accessories, etc) , so that all that is left for you is to enjoy the experience. Cathy is very communicative and flexible for the check in experience. We would love to go back in the future.

I loved the spot. Exactly as the description states: essentially a tent with elevated beds. Kept us dry through a weekend of rain. The host was very pleasant and accommodating.

My black lab Luke or cat Mojo will likely visit your site to say hello and are super chill. 2 disc golf Black Hole Pro baskets on site to practice with. Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented. Cabins ARE SMOKE FREE and may not be used as kennels so please keep pets off furnature and don't leave them inside when you are gone. You must bring your own queen sheet set. Steam cleaning the mattress will be an extra charge. Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away. Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac) Woods site and Open Area have a few different locations you can choose from. If woods or open shows booked already, please contact me. Additional fee of $20 per extra tent/camper that sleeps an adult. Picnic shelter is also available. Use my website to RSVP entire camp area for an event such as wedding.

"Elysium Heritage Farm" is situated on 120 acres in Northeast, MI surrounded by woods, trails, ponds and canals. Enjoy access to a small farm that includes fainting goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and more. Bring your pole and try your luck at some catch and release fishing. Enjoy viewing numerous types of wildflowers, birds, and butterflies. Depending on the season, (and how quietly you walk the trails) you may experience a wide variety of wildlife species. Although we don't allow motorized ATVs, you are welcome to bring a golf cart. Most of the trails are improved enough to allow you access. Absolutely NO hunting allowed on the property. The property is located just (5) miles off I-75 so it's also a convenient mid-trip destination for those on a longer distance excursion. In case you plan on fishing the local hotspots on Lake Huron (15 minutes away) and are trailering a boat, there is plenty of area to park your rig during your stay. It's only a ten-minute drive to Pinconning, where you can experience Michigan's "Cheese Town" and all it has to offer. There's a grocery store, numerous cheese shops, and a variety of party stores and restaurants. For the outdoor enthusiasts, don't miss out on going to the ever-famous "Northwoods Wholesale Outlet". Also nearby is the "Saganing Eagles Landing Casino" in Standish. We have resided here for over 30 years and can assist you in many ways to get the most out of your visit. By the way, the definition of the word "Elysium" is "Place of perfect bliss" and yes, we labeled it that long before the movie with Matt Damon was created.

Lynx Run Wilderness Retreat

My property (Lynx Run) has an amazing geological and historical background. During the last ice age, glacial waters carved out the ravine in which the Betts Creek flows. Sometimes, the creek drops over 60 feet below the surrounding terrain as it meanders back and forth in oxbows as it flows toward the Muskegon River. It was once the hunting, foraging and camping grounds of the Potawatami Indians. In the late 1800's it was at the center of the Michigan Timber Industry. Running along the edge of my property is the old railroad bed where timber was once hauled away. Only two miles from my home, the logs were sent down the side of the hill and into the Muskegon River on log chutes and then floated to where the Muskegon empties into Lake Michigan. Piles of field stones indicate that after the timber industry moved on, farmers moved in and attempted to tame the land. But, fortunately for me, the land was abandoned by the farmers and has returned to a much more natural and pristine state. My land is now a part of the Manistee National Forest and I am surrounded by thousands of acres of beautiful land (both public and private). I am the only person who lives back here in this part of the forest, so seclusion and privacy are wonderful and the wildlife and beauty is abundant.

Small cabin with three beds, the bottom bunk is full size and can sleep couple. The other two are single beds. All have new "Memory Foam" mattresses. Out house with TP no lighting or heat. Bring what you need, think like a tent with roof and comfortable beds Campfire wood included Nature Trails Lake Access Deer hunting available for renters. as allowed by State laws. Hunt at own risk, maximum three hunters per party. There is an outhouse that’s clean. There is plenty of firewood for your stay but be reasonable with the fire. Bring all you need the place has nothing. Think like a tent! You will need it all, nothing supplied as far as bedding, water, campfire starter, TP or lights. You may want bug spray. Tics in area and the wildlife is typical Pure Michigan. Over a mile of trails to wander or ride If ATV 25 mph max speed on property. I do provide fire extinguisher. Cost if used. Addition room for tents at $10 per person per night. Maximum 4 adults or family 2 adults 4 minor children in cabin. Access to Hot tub area at host HQ by river. It has indoor restroom and shower, Also small fireplace to enjoy the sprit of camping. This area is available to group of guest only for additional $15 a day. Closes at 10pm. Opens at 7am. Be sure to let host know so it can be unlocked for you. Bring a towel.Tub is 8’ by 8’. Maintained at 99f This is a new venture for me so please don’t destroy the place. Lake access ( Muskegon River, Rogers Pond) is available via adjoining property, there is a dock at adjoining property to tie up to, if you want to put in boat at public access 1 mile away. ATV access to water if you have one. Bagged trash is removed by me, extra bags in can bottom. Remember no Heat, Lights or water Code opens the cabin door.

Tucked - Away Cabin

We have about 40 acres and trails through the area for exploring. You just may come across some "forts" constructed by some of our grandchildren. There is a large fire pit and plenty of firewood for a minimal cost. (Trash can full. ) If you listen in the evening, you are likely able to hear a couple of owls talking back and forth. Usually you can see some deer and maybe some turkeys. There are many old pines around the property, the last remnants of our Christmas tree farm. There is no electricity in the cabin, but we do have two solar lights and some battery lights. If it's been rainy, the solar won't work as well. We have cornhole game available upon request and some table games kept in cabin. If you want to go biking, there is a trail in town, about 5 miles away.
