Our beautiful farm situated between Ann Arbor and Dexter is on 10 acres, and the 5 acre area where our six compsites are located is wooded with mature oak, maple, walnut, elm, and white pine trees. We're isolated and surrounded by wild areas and natural farm land but just a 5 - 10 minute drive from restaurants, groceries, fuel, and other amenities. The Ann Arbor area is home to a huge array of worldclass events from the Ark music venue to National Champion Michigan home football games and a whole lot more. Downtown Ann Arbor or Dexter or Chelsea is only a 10 - 15 minute car drive while White Lotus Farms, which has a wonderful farmer's market on Saturdays and Wednesdays is a 10 minute walk down our dirt road. If you forget to bring something, anything, that you need, don't hesitate to ask! We've got a growing number of camping essentials for rent that can make your stay even more enjoyable for very reasonable prices from hamocks to bug spray to camp chairs and more.

4/17/2024 It's official! The camping season has started with the first campers onsite this weekend. Super exciting! The woods and the trees are all abloom turning a vibrant green. All 4 campsites are open and available to book. The deer are moving around and we see them several times a day currently. Bunnies, birds, and turkeys are plentiful. Book your trip now and start making plans to explore the area! We look forward to your visit.
The property has a lot of wildlife. Deer, Turkey, Rabbits, Coyote, Birds, and Fox.
A small creek runs on the property.
There are many lakes just minutes away, as well as the Huron river for fishing and kayaking.
Public beaches at Lake Chemung and Bishop Lake.
Campfires allowed. Plenty of dead wood around.
Potable water is available to fill fresh water tanks and containers.
Sewer dump station is 5 miles away at Brighton Recreation Area (there is a fee to the state park).
Summer activities:
Howell Balloon fest in June.
Howell Melon fest in August.
Captain Frosty's Ice Cream is located approximately 2–3 miles away. They offer a variety of ice cream deliciousness, slushies, shakes, and malts.
Fall activities:
U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Petting Farm next door. Free wagon rides on the weekends and a free corn maze anytime. Purchases available: pumpkins, cornstalks, Indian corn, gourds, squash, mums, honey, and other wonderful treats.
Terrified Forest and Haunted Mansion are just 1 mile away beginning around mid-September for Halloween.
Apple Orchard is 3–4 miles away. They offer apples and have an organic farm stand with a variety of vegetables.

Part of it was formerly owned by the Egeler family who at one time owned quite a bit of Marshall Rd and part of it was owned by the Mersereau family. We bought this property in 2012 and have built several buildings and forged paths throughout the 32 acres. Our road is part of the North Country Trail, a footpath stretching over 4,600 miles from Middlebury in central Vermont to Lake Sakakawea State Park in central North Dakota. While tearing down the existing house, we constructed two bedrooms in the pole barn for a quick living space. Once settled in the pole barn, we a built a small log cabin with already felled timbers from the local woods, except for the box frame which was purchased from the local Amish. Prior to building our permanent log cabin home, this small cabin was our camp site and is now being rented to people that want to relax and enjoy the outdoors. In the middle of the woods, we created a campground to be enjoyed and on the North side of our property is a tree line between two fields that is a great small camper/tent camping spot.

Home Sweet Home, tucked in the heart of agriculture and lake life, Angola is a wonderful small town in the north east corner of Indiana. Songdog Meadows is our little piece of joy, from morning swims in the pond, long walks with our retrievers and sunsets to take your breath away, it is truly and deeply a treasure we cherish. The property host a variety of apple trees, open grass land, and a large cluster of trees surrounding a 3/4 acre pond, while being surrounded by wood lots on three sides and open fields to the west. It is truly a peaceful haven in a rural country area. Learn more about this land:Hang your hammock or pitch a tent just outside our 3/4 acre pond. There are two basins with a channel and a peaceful tree filled grass area between. The pond is in the corner of the 10 acre lot where we live at the end of a dirt road with only a small amount of traffic. The camp site is walk in on mowed pathways, with the driveway and parking area less than 200 yards away. There is a security light so you will never be in complete darkness. A stone fire pit and picnic table sit just off shore of the swimming area of the pond. There are several wide mowed pathways surrounded by prairie grasses, shaded by large trees. The area can easily handle several tents, hammocks and small RVs. The area is rural farm land with a handful of houses on the short dirt road. But this property is surrounded by wood lots and open fields. Two neighbors houses are visible but separated by trees. Our house is visible from the pond and camping area.
