Enjoy a tranquil weekend at Winimusett Farm, a 28 acre retreat on a flower farm with 4 ponds, many streams and rolling fields. Stay in an off grid cozy cabin in the woods that can accommodate 2 people. Additional tent space available. The cabin includes a queen mattress, wood stove, outdoor fire pit, deck and a private outhouse. Hike up to the cabin, it’s a 5 minute walk from where you park. We provide a gorilla cart for use in hauling your supplies up to the cabin. During dry or frozen conditions guests with four wheel drive may be permitted to drive up to park closer to the cabin.
In addition to our cozy cabin we also offer a stay in the bunk house attached to the barn. This space offers 3 rooms, a wood stove, microwave, 2 queen beds and 2 twin bed, a spacious living room and dining area. The bunk house is on the lower part of the pond, making it more accessible as parking is right at the door.
There are private camp sites for guests who prefer to pitch a tent or park their van or RV. There's a portable toilet on site seasonally for guests staying on the lower half of the farm.
We can accommodated small respectful groups of campers looking for a quiet stay in nature. It's a great spot for local Scout Troops to pitch their tents and explore nature. Message for more information.

Welcome to Rosy Goat Farm!!
We are the quintessential family farm/homestead, our farmhouse was built in the 1840’s
Bill and I bought this 13-acre property in 2012, It was overgrown with wild roses. We have worked with a limited budget, and used animals to clear the land. The goats love the wild roses. The pigs dig the roses up. Chickens rake it clean. Win win!
Very interesting place here- lots to tell you, there’s quite a list of things to do and see around here! Did you know that Gilbertville has a covered bridge? It is one of the last covered bridges still in use in Massachusetts!
First- a touch of Hardwick History:
Rev. Timothy Ruggles bought this land from the Native Americans for his family to live on, and to work the land.
His son, Brigadeer General Timothy Ruggles became unpopular after he introduced the Stamp Act, and was banished to Nova Scotia.
His daughter Bathsheba became the last woman executed in the United States for the murder of her husband Joshua Spooner. (There’s a book about it called Murdered by his wife, by Deborah Navas.)

Hardwick also has a winery- Hardwick Vineyard and Winery, they have all kinds of events, (find them on facebook) and, check out Lost Towns brewery- the name is a throwback to the 4 towns that were submerged to create the Quabbin Reservoir!
Medicine River Pow Wow is in August here in Gilbertville, on River Run Rd.
The East Quabbin Land Trust has birdwatching and fabulous views, and the Mass Central Rail Trail entrance is located here. Bike it or hike it!
Quabbin Reservoir is close by for boating and fishing.
There are free concerts in Grenville Park in Ware, (check for dates).
Ware also has Janine’s Frostee ice cream and fast foods- and live music on weekend nights!

Great experience. Met the host right when I arrived. Very convenient location to Concord and all of the Thoreau sites. I was left alone (which I always like when camping), and the site had a nice view off the back for stargazing at night. Would use it again if I am in the area.

Fantastic experience! Beautiful views and many level spots by the ponds to choose from for any camper. Misty was incredibly sweet & provided great instructions for our arrival. Also, available for winter camping! Highly recommend you take advantage of this stunning farm.

This place was amazing, very private site super quiet at night and the animals were a bonus. Really wish we had more time but were only in town for a wedding, can’t say anything bad about this place. The surrounding area has lots of trails and looked very nice. Definitely would stay again if we are in the area.

Lovely spot! Easy to find, and the host is readily available by phone. Enjoyed the beautiful little pasture behind the parking spot with white-tailed deer, as well as the running path (Bruce Freeman Rail Trail) nearby for a morning jog through the forest boasting gorgeous fall colors. Plus, took the kids across the street before bedtime to play on the elementary school playground - perfectly accessible, yet felt very private. Would definitely recommend/would stay again.

Really nice thick grass to pitch the tents. The duck eggs were really good, highly recommend them. The outhouse was nice and clean and had automatic lighting at night. The goats and chickens came by in the mornings to feed and check us out. A really friendly, well behaved dog came by at night and loved attention. Everyone on the trip wanted to camp there again.

We had a wonderful time at Find Your Muse / Rosy Goat Farm. Trisha and Bill were super kind and welcoming and their farm is so lovely. We very much enjoyed the very soft grass at the tent site, the gorgeous wildflower fields with mowed walking paths and a tour of the farm. It’s a truly idyllic spot and a beautiful experience. The location is also really great and a perfect spot for an early fall retreat. The site is clean and well maintained and has everything you’d need including a very clean wooden outhouse, firewood to purchase, a picnic table and nice fire pit.

A beautiful site with lots of room. Well maintained and exactly as described. Family friendly (we had a 3 year old and two 7 year olds)!!
There were two mulched leveled spots for tents near the fire pit and picnic table as well as a few possible tent spots at the far end at the top of a slant. The outhouse was nicely built and clean. Recommend bringing something to carry water from the hydrant in (it’s just down the drive). We had a great time!
Trisha and Bill were warm host who were happy to make sure we had what we needed. We went on the farm tour and the kids got to help collect eggs. The goats Nutmeg and Bambi were friendly and cute. They sometimes came to visit the edge of the campsite to eat the invasive bushes and get pets. Our whole group agreed that we’d come back again!

We were running behind due to some extremely heavy traffic and didn’t arrive until after dark. Trisha was incredibly communicative and accommodating. We woke up to sheep and goats grazing peacefully, and a little duckling family was exploring around our tent. It was an absolutely magical experience. If we ever find ourselves in the Northeast, we will definitely make it a point to stay there again. Thank you!!!

Perfect! Trisha was fast to respond and everything was organized and ready. Our spot had nice privacy and level ground to set up. Picnic table, fire pit, little trail lights to outhouse...what else could you want?!? We had a great stay. We biked into town and had a nice breakfast at the diner.

Rosy Goat was exactly what we needed, exactly when we needed it. Trisha’s place is a warm, soft space to land to get away from it all. It was our little one’s first camping trip and the gorgeous property, bustling farm, bevy of animals, and manicured camping area were perfect to introduce her to the world of nature. The camping area has a wonderful, natural lawn (or the perfectly flat wood chip beds) to house your tent; large beautiful trees to shade the area; a high-quality outhouse for when nature calls; and the most wonderful daily alarm of birdsong and bleating to start your days. We enjoyed a lovely rain on our last morning, and although the hosts don’t control the weather, the site they curated is an amazing backdrop for a rainy morning. We ate Rosy Goat eggs in the morning and took the farm tour to see how the chickens who lay them are managed—recommend. We enjoyed ice cream and the nearby farmer’s market, as well as walks on the property and even a swim down in one of the nearby rivers. 5/5 stars. Will be back!
