HORSES WELCOME! Why not run your horse on the beach, then come to our campsites to relax for the rest of your day. There is a fenced pasture positioned next to the sites so you can see your faithful friend enjoying some grass or hay. We have a new Zinger 29' trailer set up with a bunk room and another bedroom, full kitchen and bathroom. It can easily sleep six people. If you have your own RV, we have a full hook up at the same area. The pasture where your horse stays will also have hay, water and shelter with a run-in. This is a sanctuary for our animals. We have nine animals here, four horses (some minnies) and five donkeys (some minnies). By staying here, you will be helping us to support our animals. We are in Frankford, De which is close to all the beaches and parks. There are many shopping adventures awaiting you, either outlets or upcycle stores. If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles. We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up. We believe this is Heaven on earth and would love to share it will you. So please come, stay at our farm and relax. We are here year round.

Camp in a backyard in a quiet area with a barn and horses nearby. Site 1 has water hookup and a 30 amp and 110 outlet available. Site 2 has water access and a 110 outlet available. Site 3 is for tent camping only and is more secluded. It does have water access available. These sites are a great spot to watch the sunset or watch the stars at night. These all are self contained camping spots. I do have two very friendly dogs that will most likely come say hi to you. Dewey Beer is 1 mile away in Harbeson. Lewes beach is only about 10 minutes away and Rehoboth beach is about 20 minutes away. Sports at the beach is only 5 miles away. Tanger outlets is 8 miles away. Delaware Turf sports complex is 24 miles. There are many great restaurants and shopping nearby. You can also bring your bikes and ride the bike trail from our lane to Lewes or Rehoboth! Enjoy thoughtfully placed gathering spaces throughout the forest, including a whimsical Forest Tea Party area and Uncontained, our cozy repurposed shipping container—perfect for reading, board games, or shelter during a summer pop-up thunderstorm. Walk the short Jeremiah Dixon/Charles Mason Trail, a path similar to one they would have taken in the 1700s. Before heading back, stop at the main farm gate to visit our friendly goats—Dixie, Dolly, and Star.

Caroline County Maryland is a wonderful place to visit with plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking in nearby Martinak and Tuckahoe State Parks,Adkins Arboretum, access to public boat ramps, touring the Harriett Tubman Byway,produce stands, wineries, orchards,and close proximity to the Maryland and Delaware beaches as well as Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in neighboring Dorchester County. We're also less than two hours from Washington D.C., and Baltimore, and less than an hour from our state capitol, Annapolis.

This is a great spot for new campers! Wide and clear walking paths around the pond and a nicely kept fire pit. The cabin is small but has everything you need to enjoy yourself. Conveniently located and well kept outhouse nearby. Our dogs loved exploring this property.

Big open field so great for groups. We brought out volleyball net and had loads of room. There are trees for shade but you have to move around some - so bring a cover & Watch your water / food so it doesn’t sit out. The alpaca tour was amazing - Phil is so sweet and generous with his time.

Very nice property. The private pond and the surrounding property are beautiful. Although there are houses on the perimeter of the property, you can’t really see them and it feels like you are in the middle of the forest (which you kind of are!). The privacy is just right since there are only 5 sites (4 tent or pull in RV sites and 1 Cabin) and they are spread out around the pond with plenty of space between each. The owners, Dan and Carol, were absolutely phenomenal. Dan came by on his golf cart every day to check on me (I was solo camping in the Cabin). Carol also came with him once. Aside from the privacy and rest/relaxation that I desperately needed, the best part was meeting Dan and Carol. Super nice hosts! Anyone looking for an off grid camping experience should camp here!

Emily's Place was the perfect basecamp for some of my favorite outdoor adventures. Nestled beneath a canopy of mature trees, the campsite stayed cool and comfortable throughout the day. A gentle breeze flowed through the woods, creating the kind of peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to forget about schedules and simply enjoy being outdoors. What made the location especially appealing was its convenience. Within a short drive were several of my favorite crabbing spots, beautiful Delaware beaches, and state parks ideal for kayaking and biking. Whether I wanted to paddle a quiet waterway, explore miles of trails, or spend the day by the ocean, everything was close by. There were also plenty of great local restaurants within ten minutes whenever I felt like taking a break from camp cooking. One day, I made the 45-minute trip to Assateague Island to see the famous wild horses. Watching them roam freely along the shoreline was well worth the drive and added another memorable experience to the trip. Back at camp, Ron proved to be an exceptional host. He checked in to make sure I had everything I needed and was always available if questions came up. The generous supply of firewood was a welcome bonus, making it easy to cook outdoors and enjoy evenings around the fire. After long days spent on the beach and crabbing the clean facilities made it easy to relax and freshen up.
Emily's Place felt less like a campground and more like a home base for exploring all DE has to offer.
