We sit directly on the Mason–Dixon Line, marked by an original 1764 historical stone dividing Federalsburg, MD and Bridgeville, DE. Though just five miles from either town, the forest feels completely secluded.
Our farm spans 41 acres. Thirty-one acres hold our homestead, while the remaining 10 acres, your camping sanctuary—sitting along side a dirt road, separated by a peaceful non-tidal creek. This setting allows you to unplug while staying close to popular destinations like Easton, St. Michaels, Cambridge, and Ocean City, MD, as well as Milford, Milton, Rehoboth, and Lewes, DE
all within an hour.
We’ve intentionally created an off-grid, calming nature experience. You’ll be surrounded by forest, open farmland and abundant wildlife. Native gardens, fruit trees, nut trees and herbs were planted near the tent areas in September 2024, offering beauty and a deeper connection to the land.
Enjoy thoughtfully placed gathering spaces throughout the forest, including a whimsical Forest Tea Party area and Uncontained, our cozy repurposed shipping container—perfect for reading, board games, or shelter during a summer pop-up thunderstorm. A nature -made hammock area amongst tall pine trees is perfect for afternoon naps and are provided by us (7) Fire-pit seating, picnic tables, a charcoal grill, and a propane cooktop are also available.
Walk the short Jeremiah Dixon/Charles Mason Trail, a path similar to one they would have taken in the 1700s. Follow it through the forest and across the creek to our homestead, where you can place one foot in Maryland and one in Delaware at the historic Mason–Dixon marker beneath an old wild cherry tree.
Before heading back, stop at the main farm gate to visit our friendly goats—Dixie, Dolly, and Star.

HORSES WELCOME! Why not run your horse on the beach, then come to our campsites to relax for the rest of your day. There is a fenced pasture positioned next to the sites so you can see your faithful friend enjoying some grass or hay. We have a new Zinger 29' trailer set up with a bunk room and another bedroom, full kitchen and bathroom. It can easily sleep six people. If you have your own RV, we have a full hook up at the same area. The pasture where your horse stays will also have hay, water and shelter with a run-in. This is a sanctuary for our animals. We have nine animals here, four horses (some minnies) and five donkeys (some minnies). By staying here, you will be helping us to support our animals. We are in Frankford, De which is close to all the beaches and parks. There are many shopping adventures awaiting you, either outlets or upcycle stores. If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles. We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up. However, the space is small, and it is really a studio apartment as I think the pictures make evident.

Even though we are out in the hinterland, there are 2 local bars where live bands play on a regular basis within a 10-15 minute drive.
Other things to note
This is a warm and cozy space, just perfect for relaxing. There is a bookcase full of books on a variety of subjects, from escape reading to serious philosophical essays, and the water is on view 24/7. There is also a VHS player and more than 40 movies available. There is no cable or WiFi access, but most phones work here. The reception for T-Mobile is not so good

This is the best camping place I’ve ever stayed in It literally has everything you need, it was so nice to disconnect and relax in here, I am an artist and I never get the peace to just paint without interruptions but in here I even got inspiration from the land.
The host is super nice, he met me and my sister at check in to show us around and make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
I felt super safe out there and I never felt like we were missing something.
I will definitely come back! Also there is a lot of yummy places in that area so we were never hungry lol

Weekend Trip to Grasshopper Acres
I absolutely loved camping at grasshopper acres. The entire experience absolutely exceeded my expectations. Josh had everything prepared for us when we arrived, he was very helpful and pleasant. The outdoor camp potty was very clean and had plenty of supplies. The tent was very well prepared with cots, tables and a wood stove. It rained off and on the entire weekend that we camped. However, it didn't bother us because we had more than enough space inside of the tent. We painted, played games and just fellowship and enjoyed each other's company. It was an absolutely great experience and I can't wait to do it again.

My husband and I with our 3 children had so much fun staying in a mini cabin at Strawberry Crossroads. They have some goats that would visit us in the morning, which was so fun. Grateful for the cleanliness of the bathrooms/showers. Having mattresses already on the beds was also very helpful. Felt very comfortable and safe there. Great place to camp!

Spacious land with neighbors far enough away that you’ll never feel crowded. It’s a glamping style experience that still captures the spirit of real camping and you get the atmosphere without the hassle of setting up and breaking down all your gear.
The tent itself is huge, easily fitting an additional 2–3 cots beyond the 2 already provided, which come with sheets and blankets. (Bring your own extra blankets if you’re expecting a cold night.) A small space heater inside the tent keeps things warm, and there’s a composting BOXIO toilet with a foot pump sink nearby. There are plenty of other amenities too, but it's too many to list here.
One thing to be aware of: this site is genuinely off grid. It’s a few miles from the main road, and the further in you go, the narrower, rougher, and less paved the roads get. It felt a little eerie, though the host does disclose this upfront.
No real complaints, this spot works for just about anyone. The host was incredibly accommodating, informative, and kind. Would absolutely return if I find myself in the area again.

What a lovely little weekend getaway. Just right for our Valentines Weekend 💝. Loved the extra touches like k cup coffee machine with cups and creamer shower shampoo and body wash, fresh towels and warm blankets. Glad there was a little fridge for dinner leftovers too. We enjoyed meeting the sheep too.

Weekend Trip to Strawberry Crossroads
We visited the Strawberry Crossroads in early Nov to enjoy the fall foliage. We rented one of the small wooden cabins, which had 6 individual bunks with mats, a small fridge, a small table, a trash can, ceiling light and fan, and a cooler/heater. The land was beautiful with a lovely creek and a cute wooden bridge that crosses over it. We enjoyed the goats and chickens, and just the overall beautiful nature. The hosts were very responsive, kind, and relaxed. We had a great time and will recommend to friends/family.

Weekend Trip to Strawberry Crossroads
Camp site was easily accessible. Staff was accommodating for my late night arrival and helped get me into the cabin after a long day.
There was a nice stack of firewood outside of the cabin. I didn’t use it because of wet weather and limited time at the site, but it was a welcome surprise.
Inside has 6 bunks. I doubled up on mattresses since I was solo. Inside has a small refrigerator and remote controlled air conditioner, both worked well and AC helped ensure a solid nigts’s sleep. Inside flooring is carpeted and also has a small table and chair.
Communication was timely and efficient.
Bathhouse is about a 5 minute walk. Showers were clean, well maintained and had nice hot water. Would recommend if you’re looking for a quick accessible cabin near Ocean City.

Second year in a row staying here. Cabin was clean and had just what we needed to be comfortable for the weekend. Bathrooms had nice showers. The goats did sleep on our front porch and stalked us all morning Saturday, so that was an unexpected fun touch! Would definitely come back, and most likely will!
