Large RVs and campers are welcome but will likely want to stay in the area before our bridge (we are happy to send pictures). Long campers and RVs that are low to the ground may scrape / bottom out going across the bridge.
WARNING: The driveway leading to the campsite is a long, steep, gravel driveway with a concrete bridge at the bottom. The bridge also has fairly steep embankments on both sides (entering and exiting) with a turn heading into the site. A 4WD vehicle will be necessary for anyone pulling an RV as we have had at least one guest get stuck halfway up the hill when exiting with a two-wheeled truck with a V8 engine pulling a small RV.
In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV.

Until 2019, this farm was in the same family since 1889. It has been a working farm since that time. In 2019, our family purchased the farm and continue to operate it much the same way. Our family is devoted to history and preserving the essence of the past. You may very well see us pull up in one of our antique cars to greet you! Our neighbors are friendly and many are also small farmers. You can't see their farms from camp, but don't be surprised to hear roosters crowing, cattle mooing, and donkeys braying in the distance. Our farm is surrounded by the Hoosier National Forest, so you'll see and hear plenty of wildlife too. At various times during the summer, you may find wild blackberries, elderberries, and black raspberries growing right in camp!

If your interested in camping there is 20 acres and ample space for you to decide where to put up your tent. We provide a firepit or ring. Wood can be purchased or foraged yourself for your fire.Hoosier National Forest is across street so hiking is unlimited. This is a quiet destination in the woods with abundant wildlife.There is a small farm here where produce and flowers even eggs can be purchased. Chickens,guineas,ducks,turkeyand geese are free range so all about near house.
This is also a cat sanctuary with disabled cats mostly wobbly, you probably won't see any of them as they are afraid of strangers.
Please understand, you will be in the woods. We have coyotes,bobcat,mountain lion,fox,deer,skunk racoons, opossums etc... Keep food contained and be aware of surroundings!
We now have kune kune pigs. And recently added 2 mini cows, 1 is an 11 year old rescue and 1 is a heifer calf as well as a standard heifer calf.

We are conveniently located just 1.8 miles from I-65 at the Brooks exit 121 just 3 miles south of the Louisville's outer loop for easy access to all Louisville, KY has to offer . Far enough away from the Freeway so there is no road noise. There are 2 nice golf courses within 3 miles. South Park Country Club and The Crossings Golf Course is adjacent to the park. Enjoy the beautiful new landscaping in this Resort like RV Park with twinkly lights that come on throughout the night and we have a beautiful winding creek with creek front sites. The park has paved roads, concrete pads. This is a big rig park that can handle coaches as large as 50 feet. Because we are conveniently located in the greater Louisville metropolitan area, please know there is a nearby train track that comes by a few times a day, but you get use to it, and we are only 8 miles from the Louisville International airport, but there is no freeway noise which can be very loud. We do not have bath or shower houses, or a pool, but we do have laundry facilities on site. There are showers within 2 miles at the Pilot gas station on I-65.
We strive to offer excellent customer service, so please feel free to call if you have any issues! We have an on-site Assistant Manager. Annie is located on lot 12a, and you can reach her after you arrive by calling (502) 276-6090, or look for Annie working in the park. For long term RV guests, we require RVs to be 10 years or newer. We do give variances to some Airstream and restored classic RVs with a picture pre-approval by Management plus there is a free application see our website for an application on the banner.

A working horse farm with some wooded areas and lots of spots to pitch a tent or hammock. We have a friendly dog, 2 mini highland cows and currently 3 horses! We are on 20 acres. We are constantly improving our land and are expanding our horse boarding as we do so.
Close to Abraham Lincoln’s birthplace , Mcdougal Lake and the main square in Hodgenville which has cute little restaurants and places to walk
During summer there are lots of wild blackberries to pick on the perimeter of the pasture (this is usually June-July only). We are bordered on woods so camping can be done in the trees as well or in our nice open area right as soon as you come up the drive. Outside our barn/house we have water and electric outlets as needed.
In the open area or the woods there are several trees that can be used for a hammock as well.
We do have a large fire pit near our house and a ton of wood fires can be started as long as we are not under a burn ban if we are having a dry summer or fall.
In our camping field we have a smaller black fire pit for use .
The pastures are set back from the woods so feel free to walk the perimeter of them.
We do have 2 farm dogs that are super friendly and gentle.

What a great spot. Very private and a perfect place to camp. The site is sat between 2 creeks and our young boys (2 and 4) absolutely loved exploring every bit of it. The hosts were very nice and provided firewood! Will definitely be coming back.

The place is easy to park in I got a 33 long travel trailer.
It's a quiet neighborhood, close to all the stores.

This is the perfect spot, especially when you’re like me (new to the camper lifestyle, 24y/o) and have been driving for 8 hours only to realize that you didn’t overlap your days to check out from an old campsite and into your new site- on the same day. We were 30 minutes from the site we booked for the NEXT day, and not the day we had needed it. Allison’s property came in SERIOUS HANDY. Other HipCamp properties were available, but needed a 24 hr window to book. Then I found Allison. Our angel from God himself. Instant booking. $45 after taxes/fees. Best $45 we HAVE EVER SPENT. Cheaper and more private than a hotel, better than a Walmart parking lot. There’s a 50 amp hookup, and on the other side of that there is a residential plug in too. Two water spigots which came in handy too when we hadn’t expected to need them. The horses were chill, didn’t bug us. Only weird vibe we got was when we were setting up when we got there because in the large open field in front of the barn (we got there at dark so I couldn’t see) I heard an animal making a weird whimpering noise, high pitch. I asked about coyotes which they technically do have but anyway we were fine like they keep their horses outside, so it’s safe. Their dog was chill, stayed up by the house. Our two dogs didn’t even care, not sure if they realized they had a dog. They were great there. I will say if you have dogs though that the spot is on gravel so fur baby paws could be sensitive to it. But yeah, worth your money!

Nathanael was a great host! Camp ground was very secluded, we were surrounded by trees and submerged in nature. Outhouse was surprisingly clean and didn’t smell at all. Host does a great job at upkeep on the property!

I had a great time staying here! The site was easy to access, and Trisha was very responsive during our stay. This is a quiet neighborhood that is easy to walk around in. We were able to get to the Highland Festival Grounds every day with no problems, and there is a grocery store within walking distance as well. Overall this was a great location for our stay!

We arrived at sunset, it was a beautiful drive and the site was really nice.
The driveway was a little rough as explained in the summary, but we drove slow and were able to navigate it pretty easily in our kia soul. There was a nice firepit and large logs to burn; and the stars out there were amazing!
It's a little far out, but there is a dollar general close by and a walmart only abt 15min away near an interstate.
Would stay here again!

Enjoyed Nathanael’s property immensely! Plenty of space Perfect place to get away from the crowds and star gaze at night. I would definitely stay again if I’m in the area. He even recommended a couple of nearby hikes that were great!

Fairhaven is a wonderful little spot not far from the highway with well situated sites. I loved the aesthetics of Forgotten Lane, and was thankful it was a roadbed as I weathered a pretty rough storm on my overnight. Would definitely recommend this site, especially for van campers.

The good! It was a wonderful camp spot! Completely private (unless someone drives by on the driveway, but we only had one person do that), and so shaded it felt like it dropped 20 degrees! Perfectly lovely camping spot!
The bad.
The driveway - Once you leave the road, you will turn left onto a steep, long, gravel driveway. If you are pulling a travel trailer (even a small one like we were), you won't have a good way to turn around once on this driveway so DO NOT attempt this hill with an RV unless you have a proper braking system installed for your RV. Also, do not attempt this hill with a two-wheel drive if you are pulling an RV, even a small RV. We got stuck going back up the driveway when leaving because we only had a two-wheel drive (it even has a V8 bus-size engine), and had to have our small travel trailer pulled out.
The bridge - At the bottom of the driveway is a concrete bridge. The entrance and exit to the bridge has a decently steep embankment. I thought we would be fine because our small RV has off-road tires, allowing the RV to sit up high off the ground, but upon leaving, we scrapped the bottom, slightly damaging the bottom of our RV. In order to continue forward, we had to place large rocks from the creek under the RV tires a few times to get it to the level of the bridge without damaging it further.
I would go and stay there again, but this time, I would just bring my car with a tent. It's a lovely tent camping spot!

My husband and I loved our stay here! It was quiet, everyone was friendly, and there was so much there to keep us busy. One of our teenagers even stayed one night with us with their friend and loved it just as much! We are already thinking about staying seasonally. It’s just a short 30 minute drive from our house but made us feel like we were on a getaway.

This place checked all the boxed for us. I brought my 7 yo here and he was able to play in the creek and catch crawdads while I set up camp. Then, I helped him catch some crawdads, and we eventually took a dip in the bigger creek, which was refreshing on a very hot day. The site was also shady and private--you can see a house up on a hill if you walk onto the bridge, but it isn't close enough to see people clearly. The host was very responsive. Remember to turn your phone off of roaming (or heck, just turn it off), as it will drain the battery when you are in camp. I got service once I was back up on the road. I would come back here again, for sure.
