View Jim and Mary's Ol' house seat and drink from the artesian spring where they got their water daily. Jim and Mary were quite industrious, along with their seven children. Picture their mule drawn wagon, sawmill, sorghum mill, and grist mill. Once upon a time, their family provided these services and many others to the community. A secluded hilltop property on 5 acres of trees, an easy 20 minute drive to Nashville. We have great sunsets up here on the hill, a peaceful little dead-end road. The campsite is at corner of our property, tucked just out of sight of our house a couple hundred feet away. You can even get a painted wood cutout version of your favorite creatures from Brett! (see extras and message us for availability) Stay in our camper, a 1963 Shasta, remodeled by us. We removed all of the old broken camper stuff and it is now a simple, colorful room inside, with a full size bed and some fun funky art from our collection. Enjoy an old VHS movie on the little tv, or some classic cassettes in the tape recorder.

I stayed here for my bachelorette trip and it was so much fun! Not only was Hazel such a fun and simple stay, but the property was awesome too. I especially loved the dogs and cat (+kittens) and the other fun surprises that came with our stay. Lauren and Jeremy are GREAT hosts. We felt right at home and we all said we wanted to come back and/or live on the homestead!

This was my 1st time so my nerves were on 10. Eye felt comfortable expressing this to Valerie when we talked due to her kind words of encouragement. She was very informative about where the site was, so Eye was able to go directly to it. When Eye pulled in the 1st thing that amazed me was the View. Wow! Don’t want to be a spoiler but it’s definitely a place U won’t regret. She even checked on me to make sure Eye had everything that Eye needed. Eye Appreciate that my 1st experience was there but not my last time going. Safety, Seclusion, Nature & Hospitality was my main concern. All of these areas were met with 5 Stars💜

If you really want to get back to nature, this is the property! Come before night fall since the roads are remote. Multiple times I could almost reach out and touch the wild turkey families & deer! Tens of thousands of old growth oak, etc. everywhere. If you're tent camping you might hear the rooster and donkey on a distant farm across the hollow.

From the second I arrived to the barn it was like a sigh of relief. It's so quiet and peaceful. This spot was one of my favorites for sure. There were games and a pond and even a creek that ran through the property. I couldn't have asked for a better spot to relax and unwind with nature. James was also an amazing host and was super responsive to anything I needed. Thank you so much for a wonderful night.

We stayed in the RV, it is very nice. The location is a quiet location in the country. Many birds and a lovely view. The cement pad the RV is parked on allowed us the space to dance a few romantic dances. We have privacy yet questions were answered and if I needed anything the response was excellent. Very much off the beaten path. Easy enough to find. Little patch of grass with a campfire. More than enough space for a few tents and cars. AT&T service ranged from 1 bar to 2 bars in the camping area but never cut out. Overall nice spot!

40 acres Located in beautiful Dover TN 5 miles from Lake Barkley & the Cumberland River. Conveniently located a few miles from town, far enough that it is quiet, but close enough that it is not a long trip to town. The property features a variety of thriving wildlife due to our fresh water stream that gently flows through the property year round. The stream is roughly ankle to hip deep depending on the area. The water is crystal clear and safe to play in if you have little ones. Walk along the stream and discover all kinds of fish, turtles, beautiful river stones and possibly see a beaver or 2. If you have Archery equipment, you can use our Archery Range. The property is split by a 2 lane road. 7 acres to the North and 33 acres to the South. The smaller side is flat with many trails, fresh water stream and a gravel road. It features relatively junior trees and is home to a family of Whitetail Deer. The Southern side of the property features a mature hardwood forest full of giant white oak trees. Be sure to put on your hiking boots though, because there's a few Hills to climb. Three hills that form a beautiful valley in the center, with another fresh waterstream. The valley was once home to a 1700s settlement, so you may find some artifacts. (We just ask that you leave them where you find them.) Main trails are marked clearly with large reflectors for safety. With the near-by wildlife refuge you are sure to see and hear a variety of wildlife. We have large steel firepits in every campsite. So feel free to bring your own firewood! Enjoy a good book or nap while relaxing in a hammock. Swing with a loved one while over looking the fresh water stream. Walk down along the stream and collect rocks, feed the fish, or go for a dip! Currently our property is very Primative, whichever there is no electricity or plumbing. We do offer clean composting toilets & a locking gate at night for your security. **Cellular service is limited in some areas. Signal can be found by the road, or cross the road and take the trail up the 1st hill**

Close to where the camper is located, you can find a picnic area and pavilion with a propane grill, fire ring and plenty of firewood. The swimming pool is open on sunny days from Memorial weekend until Labor Day. Fisherman can find a fish cleaning station and beautiful pond with a lot of fish and turtles. Camper is not even 3/4 mile from the lake. Restaurants, a gas station, Dollar general, Old Country store with delicious ice cream, coffee, homemade jars of jams and more are within one mile driving distance. The Land Between the Lakes offers an Elk and Bison Prairie, many hiking and biking trails, fishing, boat ramps, Turkey Bay off road vehicle trails and more. Enjoy the outdoors, relax and recharge. Take a break from technology, we currently don't offer TV or Wi-Fi. Games are available per request, no additional charge. You can also rent a stand-up paddle board or bring a boat, golf cart or ATV - we have plenty of parking spaces. Be aware of insects and ticks. There’s lots of space to lounge outdoors in a hammock or in front of the fire pit. You will be close to Nashville but away from all the traffic and noise. For a fee, we offer options of being driven around Nashville in our vintage station wagon, barbecue dinner, or breakfast on the deck (or in bed). Betty-Lou is a 1964 Holiday Rambler. She is fully equipped with a bathroom, shower, sink, stove, oven, fridge, microwave, queen size bed and dining area. Both heat and air conditioning are available using the quiet min-split system. Outside you have access to a fire pit, hammocks, and a fabulous deck for lounging. Not shown- there is an awning covered deck with a picnic table at the entrance to the RV. Great for morning coffee and taking your meals outdoors.
