Nestled on a sprawling 40 acre farm just 15 miles from downtown Nashville, this cozy cabin is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. At the front of the property you will find horses in the paddocks as well as chickens, mini donkeys, a sheep, a pig, mini Highland cows, and dwarf Nigerian goats, all within the barnyard. A spring fed creek runs along the front of the property by the road and there is a stocked one acre pond near the main home. Also near the main home is treehouse "cabin" complete with a swinging bridge. Feel free to bring fishing poles, feed and pet the animals, and gather eggs early in the morning. If you are staying over the colder months, we do not allow the use of space heaters. You must be using propane to heat. This is a farm and you are free to roam about in the front field around the camp site and watch the sunset, relax and simply enjoy nature. We are less than an hour drive to 4 different Tennessee State Parks and about 40 minutes east of Nashville. We do not typically allow dogs for long term stays We have had some confusion come up because people aren't reading the site specifications, so here is the most important. It is a gravel site, so it is not level. We do have cinder blocks at the site to help with leveling. The site is going to accommodate rigs 35 to 36 ft max However, you MUST be comfortable backing your rig. In the winter, it is dark here by 4:30-5. So if you arrive at that time you will be setting up in the dark. Make sure you are reading the rules and safety for what is allowed here.

I've been using Hip Camp for two years, and this was by far the most beautiful place I've stayed. I was met by the hosts who helped me back in and make sure everything was ready for me. Perfect level pad with full hook-ups. Only 2 sites, and I was the only one there. Very peaceful with a really pretty forest with trails behind my site. I highly recommend this location. I hope to come back someday!

Ditte and Stan were absolutely wonderful! They met us at the site and helped us figure out our hookups. The site itself was beautiful with a firepit, a screened in area with a table, and walking trails around the property. There was a peacock that would roost in a tree by the site, so we saw him a couple of times which was fun.

Absolutely beautiful property. Not far from Mammoth Cave. 2D was a fantastic host, answered all our questions, and made sure we had what we needed to have a good trip. Truly a kind and hospitable man. Stayed 3 nights in dream catcher. It felt like falling asleep on a cabin porch. Will definitely be back. Could see this being a fun place for kids. Lots of woods, a river, and buildings on the property to explore. First time using hipcamp. So happy it went as well as it did!

Barren River Magic is magical, indeed! The farm is breathtaking, the facilities are perfectly maintained, and 2d is so kind and helpful! We stayed in the RV and it was such a treat. Our dog absolutely loved splashing around in the river and just enjoyed being off-leash in general. I truly can’t recommend this place enough. 5 stars with no hesitation!

The stay was really nice! We enjoyed the fire in the evening and went in to the tent as the night went on. After it got cold enough, we used the gas heater and it was more than enough to keep us warm. The potable water is limited, so if you need lots (cooking, cleaning) be sure to bring it in. It was extremely private and lovely, but it looks like there may be a new cabin being built at the top of a very nearby hill which would make the place much less private. We prefer solo private spots, so we might need to check on this for future stays.

This was literally the best campsite I have been to in a long time... I WILL be back! We had a peacock roost in the trees behind us and the screenhouse was a morning coffee MUST HAVE, peaceful area but close to nashville and springfield, they had a binder of local information and a coloring booklet for kids with colored pencils, our 2 dogs had a place to run off leash and they had a blast, they had extra things just in case you needed them to hookup, and gosh, so much more! I do not even have the words to describe how great our stay was... all I can say is this is a must stop site! You won't regret it! We plan on returning regularly!!! 💕Thank you Mrs. Ditte!

Ditte and her husband are very kind and courteous. Our campsite had everything we needed. Our water was great, it was even city water so we didnneed to worry about the water quality. Ditto gave us a nice welcome gift with some jam and local information that we referred to a lot. The wifi is really fast, so you could even work from there if you needed to. Getting in and out of the site is pretty easy. It wasa very peaceful stay and our dog loved the amenities as well. They have a dedicated 4 acre fenced in pasture for dogs to run in. We will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful campsite that checks all the boxes. It's quiet, conveniently located to essentials and easy to get in and out of. We were welcomed on arrival, with a wonderful gift and even fresh flowers! There is blazing fast wifi, strong enough for remote working and HD streaming. The campsite has features for all ages and family members. The walking trail is nice, but it is wooded so bring your bug spray just in case. Our dog really enjoyed the 4 acre fenced in pasture to run and play in. The water is city water so it's fresh and clean. I recommend getting some of Ditte's jam. This is a five star site with exceptional hosts. We can't wait to go back

2d is the best! We had such a good time and are definitely planning a return trip. All the glamp sites are amazing if you want to stay in a structure instead of a tent. Our R/V spot was amazing and we enjoyed having the showers right there next to our site. We enjoyed playing in the river, fishing, running around in the fields and watching for all the wildlife. The sky gazing at night was amazing as well! Thank you 2d for sharing your little slice of heaven with my family!

Such a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Absolutely beautiful. Not too far from town if you forgot anything. But what may have been the best part was they had three dogs that just watched over us and our campsite. I felt extremely safe which is not the norm for me. Plus the host, Patty, one of the nicest women I have met on my travels. Definitely will come back.
