This cabin is a one room open floor plan style w/ a detached shower house & restroom combo. There is no restroom in the cabin. The access to the river is a 180 step hike to the water w/ clear steps and hand railing. Propane space heater and wood stove inside the cabin. Nestled on a sprawling 40 acre farm just 15 miles from downtown Nashville, this cozy cabin is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. At the front of the property you will find horses in the paddocks as well as chickens, mini donkeys, a sheep, a pig, mini Highland cows, and dwarf Nigerian goats, all within the barnyard. A spring fed creek runs along the front of the property by the road and there is a stocked one acre pond near the main home. Also near the main home is treehouse "cabin" complete with a swinging bridge. Feel free to bring fishing poles, feed and pet the animals, and gather eggs early in the morning. Tucked in the hollow of the surrounding ridges, the rustic cabin sits on the hillside with a small pond at the foot. A wide front deck with rocking chairs and a double glider overlooks the pond, offering a perfect spot to have coffee at sunrise or unwind beneath the stars. The cabin is furnished with antiques, a fluffy queen bed, and an oversized bunk above. Although the cabin is meant to be a retreat from modern electronics, it does have a cieling fan, light, TV, and outlets powered by solar panels. There is an outdoor sink and small tankless hot water shower head, gravity fed by a water tank on the hillside. You will also find an RV toilet behind the cabin under the awning.

The Cottage at Creekdance will be a unique experience. While I am only two miles from the Cumberland Parkway, when you arrive, you will be amazed at the privacy. You will feel like you are miles away from civilization. It is the perfect spot for meditating and rejuvenating. Come visit! Everyone is welcome! The space Creekdance is located on 20 acres of prime Kentucky vegetation in the hills of Kentucky. Dry Fork Creek runs adjacent to the entire property. While it is not deep enough to kayak, it is certainly fun to dip your toes in and walk through the ever-flowing water. Several walking paths and bird boxes can be found throughout the property. It is a great place to write, paint, read, do yoga or just rejuvenate and "get right" with nature. Get the best sleep of your life on a Nectar mattress with the sounds of the creek drifting through the window. NEW this year - 125-yard golf driving range available. Golf balls provided. Bring your clubs! Guest access Guests have a private cabin all to themselves. They may feel free to wander around the property, venture onto the walking paths, walk in the creek, etc. The only space that is off limits is my cabin down the creek. Of course, if there is some kind of emergency, feel free to come find me. Other things to note While pets are allowed, there will be a $25 charge per day/per pet, paid to hosts upon arrival. I have a very friendly dog of my own on the property who free-roams. Also, if guests leave their pets in the cabin while they are gone, the pets must be crated. Inside the cabin, the bathroom is equipped with an Incinolet toilet. I find that it is quite efficient if used properly. Instructions will be given upon arrival and are included on the wall in the bathroom. We can only accommodate TWO guests at a time in the cabin due to the Incinolet's capability.

It was fun even in the winter. Ain't nothing like a wood stove. There was a little mouse around but its winter and they like to be warm too. Made a fire outside, it fell real nice.

Weekend Trip to Barren River Magic

The peace pipe is a campers refuge! I loved the lower level sitting area, brought along flowers and a tablecloth and it made for a beautiful meditation/yoga sanctuary. The upstairs sleeping loft was a reprieve from the heat and had the best views of the land! Mostly, we spent our free time star gazing and strolling the river. It was an amazing getaway and we can't wait to come back!

1 night at Baker Hollow Farm in Nashville

My boyfriend and I stayed at the beautiful cabin for 1 night. We arrived late at night but they still welcomed us, showed us how to get to the cabin and how everything works there (outside shower, lights, power etc.). The cabin was very hidden from everything, very quiet, it felt like a real nature retreat. The whole property itself was also absolutely stunning, they have the sweetest animals, honestly they were so andorable and friendly, and you guys were so nice! Thank you again for everything! Btw, the dog and that one lighter brown horse are so cuddly and happy for visitors 😍 we would’ve loved to stay longer but we were on a tight time schedule.

Weekend Trip to Cedar Ridge Cabin

The Cedar Ridge Cabin was impeccably clean and had the coolest off-grid gadgets! I maintained a similar cabin for several years and know how much work goes into such a spot. The craftsmanship and attention to detail at this cabin was inspiring to say the least! My son and I enjoyed the adventure hike down to the river and watching the nighttime critters in the field. Thank you for opening up this lovely spot to guests!

We loved staying in Danny’s cabin! Since we usually camp, this was the perfect mix of roughing it and glamping while still feeling like we were one with nature. Nothing was better than sitting on the porch and watching all the fireflies come out. Bring plenty of bug spray for the hike down to the river because there were lots of ticks.
